"Leah wake up" mom shouted, I turned and covered my head with pillow to avoid hearing her; "Leah wake up, it's morning"she shouted again, this time I had to stand up because her voice was louder than before and I think I might have provoked her. "Mom good morning" I greeted I thought my mom was angry but instead she was happy, wearing a smile on her cheeks, I remembered what she said to me one "Leah, no matter how bad your yesterday was, always wake up with the hope and smiles that today would be better" "Morning my love, don't you think it's high time you know the difference between morning and night , because you are meant to be up by now darling; besides you are no longer a baby " "But am still your baby,or am I not " "Come on, you are my baby, you are really growing rapidly, let's me make breakfast,go prepare and be downstairs in 15mins,am serious Leah,let 15mins be 15mins " "Okay mom, I'll be downstairs in 15mins, I gat that" I went to the bathroom to do my daily routine, from skipping to brushing, bathing, drying my hair and dressing up, breakfast was pancakes and chocolate tea, yummy,the tea was very thick and the pancake was caking indeed, just the way I love it. My mom is the best mom, she's trying her best to raise me up right, with the help of my present absent father who is always travelling for business trips. After breakfast mom dropped me off at school. ****** "Hey Leah,can I speak with you" Daniel said "Yes, what is it" I replied "Leah am sorry about yesterday, I didn't mean to......am sorry" he apologized "What are you sorry for,is that you almost kissed me or what, what exactly are you sorry for, were you drunk or what, answer me Daniel,were you??" I shouted out of anger knowing that no one was there the two of us;"I thought we were just friends, but I think it's more than that in your own view right??" "Am sorry Leah, I don't know what happened, I didn't know what prompted me to do it" he replied;"I swear it's not what you think, you were crying and your face was.... I didn't know what to do staring at your eyes like that "he said;"Leah I have a soft spot for you no lie " "Must it be a kiss, what about hug Daniel "I shouted yet again "Your eyes was too precious and I don't think it was asking for hug,by the way, how about him,did he later call last night " "Really,so you now read people's eyes " "Your eyes was communicating, how about the guy " "Which guy" "The guy that made you cry, what's his name again... Marion" "Well, he didn't call,am done with that guy, I don't think I even loved him, I was attracted him because of his looks and money,thank goodness he told me the truth sooner than later, when I can't recover easily "I sighed and looked at his face, and was just imagining the kiss scenario at Marion's birthday party yesterday;Marion is a handsome young rich guy,his full of himself and would go at any length to have what he wants, he's light skinned with lips that is so attractive that every girl wish to kiss, though he is rude, no one cares, many girls has fallen for him including me, I realised he never loved me,he was just playing with my emotions and I never realised it until yesterday. ★★★★★ "Happy birthday baby, here's my gift" I said handing him the bouquet and a gift box."Are you gonna introduce me to your parents and make our relationship official" I said with smiles "Introduce to who?,why?, official as how, this relationship isn't even serious.....wait... what were you thinking,nah Leah,am not in love with you, come on!" "Leah, I can't be stuck with you, I have other girls that wants me and I wanna try'em too, come on, don't take this serious, I don't have feelings for you young lady " "But I do love you MAR, you can't be serious " I said crying "Love!,no I think it's an illusion,yes an illusion when you think you love someone whereas you do not,or should I say lust,I don't love you,get that into your dumb brain" he shouted,"I would be glad if you don't make scene here, remember it's still my day " he said and left, I began to cry and sob silently, I nearly cried my eyes out that evening if not for Daniel who noticed my movement and followed me. Danm Danny is much cooler and more handsome than Marion, and I didn't realise it up on till today, I guess the saying"Love is blind "is actually true, once you are in love you can't see anything wrong with your partner, you ignore and over look them all.
