Chapter 28 Home

Davina's P.O.V

After everything was done, the bodies of the enemy were burnt, and the bodies of our fallen were transported to their rightful packs, kingdoms, and covens. We cleaned up the entire place from debris from the battle. We also had Demetri in fully secure custody. He was almost drained of all his blood enough to weaken him and give him Deadly nightshade to keep him sedated and locked up tight in the back of the truck that had 2 vampires and 2 werewolves guarding him inside and 10 werewolves all around the truck keeping guard. Also we were finally done erasing the minds of the humans that were kept prisoners here, and some of the human servants he had locked in the basement of the mansion. All the women were n**ed and we had to find clothes for them to wear. As soon as their memories were swiped from Timothy, the were set free to go home wherever home was, and for most of the witches left, they wanted to remain and stay loyal to Aria. Turns out Timothy's Beta, wanted to stay with Aria and Aria surprised me by accepting him as her mate, considering she hadn't accepted my dad, only because he also already had another mate back home. Aria was finally free to live the life she always wanted, but now she was fully equipped to protecting herself and her people from harm, back when her kingdom was over run, she had no skill whatsoever to even defend herself. Now she was a lethal Werewolf, one no one wanted to mess with. She had killed over 50 werewolves within half an hour of fighting, Timothy was impressed with her skill. So now we were currently at the last stages of clean up. Aria also said she'd hire people to come and change and rebuild the Mansion Demetri had used, she wanted to remodel it from scratch and make it her own home.

We were currently initiating werewolves and vampires into the packs they wanted to join. Some wanted to be with Timothy's pack, others wanted to be in my dad's pack, Arias kingdom, And in Stevens pack. They had 4 different choices of living in 4 very different places. Stevens pack was in the biggest city in the state, while Timothy's pack was on a secluded island somewhere, My dad's pack was in the mountain range with a small town and lots of forest land, and wilderness and Arias kingdom/pack was this town near Stevens city pack. It took time for every single pack less person to get initiated by their new Alphas, and the vampires had to pledge themselves. Although, my father was the only one that refused vampires due to having low human population where we live.

Jake was initiated into my dad's pack officially because he was my mate, and turns out that Hardin was already initiated to our pack long ago as a boy, the witch that put the werewolf block on him also blocked his memory of that. Also we learned that our dads only wanted us to live normal human lives, they wanted to keep us from this way of life, from wars and battles and such, mostly because they wanted us safe, they tried their best to keep us humanly possible. It didn't work for Alley because she turned unexpectedly early while she was with my parents during the time before she met Zack. I was disappointed to find out that she too had hid it from me that long. My dad was planning on using the same spell that Hardin's parents used but it got complicated when Hardin went missing, if Hardin's name was mentioned, I'd go into a depression state again and isolate myself, the only one I was able to not freeze up on was his brother Dave, who would check up on me from time to time. I wasn't able to face Hardin's parents or the mention of them either without getting like that again. So my dad held it off until he wanted to tell me, he knew I'd be angry and hurt about it. He's just sad that I had to find out like that through finding Hardin again. They had no idea Hardin came back at all.

Hardin was super happy to see his dad and brothers, they talked non stop once everything settled down. Hardin didn't care his dad had blocked him from his werewolf side because it actually help save him during being kidnapped. The werewolves had a harder time breaking the bond they had to their packs. Hardin, was also content with me not being his mate, he was just glad that we were still connected and that we'd always be in each others lives as that's all he ever wanted. He thought of this over a year ago when he was kidnapped, he was heartbroken and missed me to his core but after 8 months, he hoped that I moved on and already accepted the fact that I may be with someone else. When he came back to my ranch, he felt the mate bond pull but didn't know what it was he felt, and his jealousy of seeing Jake sleeping in my bedroom drove him mad, that's why he took me out of my room and turned me, it was out of the mate bond making him do it without fully being in control. He wanted to make me his and he didn't know how or why.

Jake, was agreeing to come back home with us and right now he was busy with his family talking to them before saying his goodbyes. I was able to meet all of his family and they all welcomed me with open arms, Timothy was impressed with me that I was able to use both my Werewolf primal and Vampire primal forms that the three of us were hybrids and he wanted to come visit us a few times a year and maybe even train us and test us on a few things. His dad Steven couldn't stop smiling at me too, he was very happy Jake found his mate and he embarrassed me at one point in telling us to hurry and make him grandkids. Hence why I ended up back with my family.

My brother was happy for mom, but he wanted to come stay with us for awhile and lay off the seriousness of being a steady warrior. Plus we're twins and we'd only got to know eachother for less than 3 months. He wanted to know me in my own environment, he wants a new change of scenery. Plus my dad wanted to get to know his son Derek.

"As long as you both come and visit me." Aria says to us both.

"Of course we will." I smiled at her as she kissed both of my cheeks and then hugged Derek. I smiled at them, of course she would be more emotional when he's leaving, he spent his whole life at her side. "I love you son." She whispered to him but of course my vampire/Werewolf ears were able to what perfectly as if she said it to me.

"Davina, you sure you don't want to stay and allow Aria to get to know you better?" Dad asked me.

I shook my head, "No, I wanna go home." I said wrinkling my nose, plus I hate city life and being so much in this town was like being in a city.

My dad laughed, "Sorry Aria, but our Davina dislikes this kind of environment, I'm surprised she hadn't gone insane." He chuckled the last part.

Hardin laughed, "She almost did!" He yelled from being at GSI family's side.

I rolled my eyes of course he'd hear that, "Hardin just go back to Bragging to your daddy." I said to him sticking my tongue out.

"I know what you can do with that tongue of yours." He smirked.

Jake growled and turned from taking to his grandparents and faced Jake. Which only made Hardin laugh harder and made Jake growl. "Relax you two stop it, Jake! Hardin is just being, Hardin." I shook my head at them both when they looked at me.

All our family chuckled at us and Aria said, "Looks like you all will be off to an interesting trip home. It's going to be very entertaining."

"Yup, sure going to have fun pulling those two apart from fighting over our daughter." My dad smiled at Aria.

"Let's go." My dad said and Derek and I hugged our mom and shook Her new mates hand and congratulated them again.

The rest of us moved out and walked toward the forest, "Um, dad?"

"Yes Devy?" He asked using my pet name when I was a little girl back when I couldn't say my name properly.

"Dad!!" I hit his arm, embarrassed and Jake looked over and smiled and winked at me while he walked with Timothy.

"What? Oh sorry, right. Boys." He rolled his eyes making me growl, "What is it?" He asked again.

"Are we walking all the way home?" I asked.

He looked at me surprised and then said seriously, "No, don't be silly, we'll be running in wolf form too."

"Dad!!" I whined, "I don't want to walk that's far."

"Nonsense, you'll feel better once we turn maybe you'll be faster then all of us." He said. "This is our victory run, we all race home."

I sighed as we all got undressed and turned. Of course I turn faster than the average wolf. Timothy was following us to our place along with his mate Marianna, Katherine and her mate, they're going to stay a few days to help me, Hardin and Jake and to test us on a few things. He feels responsible for us because next to him, we were they only hybrids in the World.

As soon as we turned, we raced towards home, turns out, Timothy, Jake, Hardin and I were all faster than the other wolves, we had to mind link our packs to tell them we'd just keep going on ahead and that we'd meet them home. We were half a day ahead of everyone else. Soon we had to stop as nighttime came around again. I realized that I haven't slept in two days. The battle back there went on through nightfall and was finished by dawn, then clean up took all day and we left that night then we kept running throughout the rest of the day, now it's nighttime again. As soon as we stopped I turned back and dressed as fast as I can, hiding behind a few trees.

I walked out and collapsed on the ground, I'm going to sleep. Celine says. I heard her snoring as soon as she said that, I envied her, she fell asleep immediately. I laid on the ground breathing heavily and closed my eyes, exhausted overtaking me. I could have sworn I heard Timothy laughing but I was too exhausted to care.

I woke up the next morning, feeling nice and warm, my head was on someone's chest, and I knew by the sparkes and tingles it was Jake. I opened my eyes and was surprised we were in a tent and I had a blanket on me. I snuggled closer to Jake loving his smell of Vanilla and Peppermint that I love so much. I held him tight. "Morning." Jake whispered.

"Morning." I smiled into his chest.

"Come have some breakfast you two and we'll have to leave right away." Tim said, he sounded like he was just outside our tent. "You'll have plenty of alone time when we get to your home Davina."

I groaned and Jake Chuckled, I got off Jake and I was still wearing my clothes I ran in with, we didn't have a change of clothes, we just took what we can carry and left. We both got out of the tent and there were two fallen trees laying parallel with a firepit between them. Tim actually managed to make us eggs and bacon.

"Hardin is it ready?!" Tim yelled.

"Yup, just grabbing cups." He walks out from behind our tent where two more tents were set up, where Hardin and Tim must've slept.

"Here you go, your going to need it considering how you passed out last night." Hardin said handing me a cup.

Frowning at him then glared at Tim as he laughed and said, "I have lived on this earth for hundreds of years and that last night was the funniest thing I have ever saw."

"What do you mean?" I asked confused as I took a sip of my coffee which tasted perfect, I moaned as the hot liquid slid down my throat. "Thanks Hardin, you still remember how I love my coffee."

"Of course, I've known you alone time." He handed Jake his cup, "Sorry man, I don't know what you like in yours, the stuff if just over there." He pointed to the coffee stuff while Jake walked off and grumbled something under his breath as he went to make his cup of coffee.

"I've never seen a supernatural creature with such power and strength to run all that way then lay on the ground and just pass out. I laughed so hard last night. Even laughed when Jake lifted you up while Hardin pitch the tents and Hardin tried to take you in his arms so Jake can make your bed for you but Jake just ignored him and placed you in my arms instead." He chuckled shaking his head.

"Seriously, Jake's gotta get over that jealousy thing, so I secure." Hardin Chuckled.

"Hey, be nice, You'd feel the same way if you found out your mate gave her innocence to another man, just a day before reuniting." Tim says.

My jaw drops and Jake growls, "Sorry." Hardin says looking down at his feet, "It was more the crave then anything, plus it gave her a fighting chance."

"That is true." Tim says, "If he didn't at least mate her, she would have died before leaving the house. In a way, he saved her life. Jake I know it hurts and Hardin I know it was good for you on your part, but for Davina's sake, she's alive because of that. Jake, she's yours for life, for eternity, maybe. You may not be her first but your damn rights are going to be her last." Tim tells him.

Jake's jaw clenches and he finally nods and takes a breath, "Just don't rub it in Hardin." He says.

"I won't." He tells him.

"Anyway, this breakfast is perfect, how'd you manage to carry all this stuff?" I asked Timothy as we left I did notice it on his back, but to me it looked like a small pouch on his back.. I had no idea it was all this camping gear.

"I got Jake to strap it to me and it must've looked small because of my wolf form." He says.

"So huh.." He cut me off.

"We'll be home before it gets dark." Tim answers my question before I can ask, I frowned at Jake.

"He can read minds, Tim, you did it again." Jake says smiling at him as he sips his coffee.

"Oh right, sorry, I get carried away sometimes with my gifts." He says with a shrug as if it was nothing.

"Gifts? Oh wait, yeah I remember Jake told me over the phone. If you can read minds that easy? How come you didn't read Demetri's mind that easily? Why go for the blood?" I asked.

"Well, reading minds is easy mostly because it's happening as you think it. But reading core memories I have to go through the blood stream, the blood flow helps me get into his head quicker. Another way I could have done it is by touching the side of his head but that would require me to meditate and dig through and dig deep and it would take me a lot longer to go in through that way and we didn't have the time for that." He said.

I nodded, "So you think that we may be able to do that too?"

"It's hard to say, because my mind reading came on a few days after my mates and I competed the mate bond by marking eachother. Don't worry too much about it, we'll figure it in a few days that we stay with you all. As soon as we get there though, just take your time and get used to being safe again, you all went through so much trauma that, you all need to heal from, I am staying longer than a few days, maybe a month should do it. It's Katherine who is only staying a few days, she has to go back and take over leadership of our pack, I also have to find a new Beta, as mine is with Aria." He sighed.

"You don't mind that he's left your side?" I asked curious.

"I am sad and will miss him as I depended on him for almost everything and trusted him with my life, even though I am immortal but still. How do you let go a friend you had for 300 years... I am truly happy for him, he has given up years ago on finding his mate and he finally found her and I would never stand in his way of his chance at true love. I know how he feels, as I cannot live life without my Marianna. It's going to be hard looking for someone to replace him." He says.

"You can always look into their minds and choose." Hardin says.

"I could, but I rather see them earn it physically, emotionally and verbally." He says.

Just then a stick cracked from behind us and I jumped up facing the sound ready to fight if needed. "Relax.. It's just a deer passing through."

I relax and sit back down and looked at Tim, "Your not afraid to get attacked?"

He downed his coffee then looked at me with his dark colored eyes like Jake's and said, "All living things should be more afraid of me than me of them. I fear no one." He says with a straight face he added, "Your a powerful supernatural being, you shouldn't fear either, your stronger than both Vampire and Werewolf, but then again, you went through so much that you will be jumpy from time to time."

Jake reached over and rubbed my back gently, I nodded, "In time I'll be okay and soon I hope I'll someday let that sink in that I'm way more powerful now. It's just that-"

"Yes, I know, you were told you were human most of your life, and as soon as you found out what you are, so much happened in such a short time, hence why I said, you guys need a few days off when you get back it take in everything that has happened." He says and starts packing, "Speaking of, we best be on our way, the wolves are catching up." He said.

I frowned and sniffed the air and I couldn't smell them, He chuckled then, "Marianna told me their location awhile ago, that's how I know, I can't smell them from here their still far away silly." he laughed which made Hardin and Jake laugh too.

"Hey, well I didn't know." I giggled too because I must have looked silly sniffing the air for them.

"Your great grandfather is cool." I whispered to Jake.

"Yeah he is but just don't call him that he prefers me to call him just Tim, he says it makes him feel really old." He whispered back.

"But he is old." I whispered back to him.

"Uuh he can totally hear you both you know." Hardin smirks at us.

"Yes, yes I heard it all, just keep packing." Tim says.

He all chuckled as we took down the tents and helped Tim pack the stuff. I noticed Jake didn't touch the tents, I'm guessing he really is a true city boy and never went camping, "You've never done this before have you?" I asked him.

He looked at me and smiled shyly, "Camping? No. I haven't."

"This is more like survival Camping, the type of camping I can take you on one of these days is a lot different than this." I nod.

"Or maybe you like the type of camping where people sleep in RV's." Hardin says rolling his eyes.

"It doesn't really matter what or how you camp is where you go that matters." I roll my eyes and shake my head at Hardin. He's trying to tease Jake for being a city boy and I'm not going to let him.

"Sure, we can go someday, but right now, I just want to get back to how things were entire Hardin showed up and ruined everything." Jake said sarcastically.

Hardin out his hands up, "First of all, I did not get us captured, if you hadn't shown up at Emily's, I would have brought Davina home much later... we wouldn't have rushed off and try leave right away just because you told her to."

"Guys!!! Stop it okay, what's done is done, let's just get going, Jake put this on Tim's back and Hardin let's shift." I said to them both. "Tim?!" I yelled.

"Yeah, can a guy take a piss?!" He yells back.

"Sorry, it's just, why are they still fighting over me when we all know I'm fated to Jake already?!" I yelled back.

Tim comes out from the trees zipping up his pants saying, "That's because Hardin is still in love with you, seems like he's always been in love with you even when you were human. That kind of love just doesn't go away. It'll fade a little once you and Jake finish the mate bond." He says. "Sorry Hardin but it will fade once completed. It's just the way of the Knight Goddess." He shrugs off his clothes and shifts while Jake places the pack on him.

"Finishes as in?" I asked.

"He has to mate you, mate you." Hardin says to me which just confused me more and Hardin knowing me so well says, "He has to f*ck you." He growls.

"Oh." I say dumbfounded.

"Okay enough, let's just shift and run." Jake said, clearly annoyed now, "I just want to relax now, I'm anxious, not angry Davina."

I swallowed then stripped off my clothes as Tim was already sprinting, I was more comfortable changing in front of Hardin and Jake only because they both have seen me naked countless times. But this time, Jake growls at Hardin who just growls back at him.

I shift and just ran ignoring them both. The anticipation to reach home was making me impatient. Running wasn't doing it justice. We were close enough to home now and far from civilization now that I knew no one would see us. I reached down with my anger pulling at my vampire side of me and shifted effortlessly into my Primal vampire and flew to the sky and I briefly saw Hardin and Jake bump into eachother in awe as they looked up at me.

It was easy to fly, my wings spread out wide at my sides, automatically flying above the trees now I look down as I pass Timothy running through the trees going at a faster speed. Was he really racing me. I grinned as he quickly glanced up and picked up speed. I flapped my powerful wings as hard and fast as I could and like that I was now above our farm house and I can see wolves running scattering all around the area waiting for me to land.

I knew they probably don't think it's me and think their in danger. So it's best I don't land on the ground they'd attack me if I do. I know I can take them but I wouldn't want to hurt them as they are only protecting our land and our people. I quickly landed on the house a little to roughly the house shook. I transformed back I to my normal form and threw the dress over me and raised my hands at the wolves below. They immediately settled down when they realized it was only me. "It's okay it's just me and my friends, my dad is on his way too, he'll be here in a few hours, please stand down, so I can get off this roof." I commanded and they all back away and changed back, some went into the tree lines to change, others just shifted and ran u to the house.

Timothy came running out of the tree line first as I was jumping off the roof. Then, Shortly after Hardin and Jake. They too shifted back and dressed up. Everyone was standing around curious of us all. Then, Zack, Alley, the twins came running out with the Werewolf that ran inside a moment ago, probably he went and got them.

"Davina!!" Alley came running to me then gathered me in a big hug, then I felt little arms hug me too. I felt so happy to finally see them after being away against my will for months. The twins actually seemed taller than before, they grew. I cried happy tears again. I pulled back and gestured to Zack who was watching with happy tears also. He joined our awkward group hug and held all of us. I missed them all so much, it felt wonderful to be able see them again.

We pulled away from eachother and I said, "We have so much to catch up on but first I'll introduce my mates Jake and You know Hardin, and this is Jake's relative Timothy." I told them.

Alley reached over and gave Hardin and big hug then she shook Jake and Timothy's hands and so did Zack. "My dad's on his way he'll be here in a few hours, we raced all the way here." I giggled.

"Well, how did you beat them?" she asked surprised.

"Well, that's because the 4 of us are all hybrids." Shocked gasped sounded all around us at the news I told.

"Hybrids? How? I thought just you were one.." she asked.

"Well, it's a long story that I wish I can tell right now but I'm tired from that long journey and I would love to have a shower and change. I promise I'll catch you up on all that happened." I told her.

"Sure, of course, it was a long journey I'm guessing." She said as she began to lead us to the house. "Come inside Jake, Hardin and Tim. You all can freshen up and we can meet outside in the back of the house, I'll get Zack to make a bonfire." We followed her in the house.

"Actually, I'm going to head over to the cabin I was staying in before I left from here, I have clothes I left there, Tim? you like to come freshen up there too? I have clothes similar to your size." Hardin says.

"Sure but I already have spare clothes in this pack." He tapped the back pack behind him.

"Alright that's fine with me, I'll see you all outside." She grabbed Zacks hand and headed out back with the twins tailing them.

"Ok let's go." Hardin says, "See you later love." He quckily kissed the top of my forehead as he ran out following Tim.

Jake let out a low growl, I ignored him and walked to my room where I know I have all my old clothes. I walked in and saw my room was still the same as it was before we left. Jake's duffle bag still sat at the foot of the bed. He came into my room and sat on the bed.

"What did I do to get you angry with me Jake?" I asked him Folding my arms standing in front of him.

He looked up at me and said, "You didn't wait for me, you just went ahead and moved on with Hardin like as if we didn't mean anything."

"You left me without any explanation at all." I said folding my arms.

"Yes, well I had to-"

I cut him off, "No, we were supposed to be a team, you should have brought me with you? Why didn't you take me with you? Why did you just leave me like that?" I began to cry, I don't care now, we weren't back at Demetri's place anymore where we had to hide everything.

He sighed, "Look, I wasn't planning on it, I just went on a whim after you left me behind, your right. I should've took you with me, then maybe then you wouldn't have let Hardin have what is supposed to be mine."

I sighed and sat down beside him. "Did you know what I was going through physically?" I asked him. Not wanting to remember how much I suffered but forcing myself to remember to tell him to hope he understands better. He has to hear it from me, "I was literally dying Jake, I was coughing up blood, I wasn't sleeping well either, some nights I pretended to sleep, I couldn't until my body was so exhausted from coughing up blood eventually I fell asleep without force. I began to get weaker every day, the only thing keeping me alive was drinking from 3 humans within 4 hours, it was starting to make me crazy, I began over drinking from these humans to a point of killing them and attacking my brother, Hardin and Aria for the kill. Yes, I lost my virginity to Hardin, why? because, I trust him and I wanted to see you again." I sighed.
