Chapter 26 Mates Reunited

Hardin.P.O.V

I was almost there to help Jake save the love of our lives, our mate Davina. I tried my best to push through the crowd as they were trying to escape or evacuate the building. I heard a few yelling about a bomb, which made me determined to find Davina. Then, I saw that bloodsucker lock her in a small room and left her there. Then I felt relief at seeing Jake, but his pained expression at trying to get her out to safety while she was screaming and crying helplessly, showed what I felt in my heart. I wanted to get her out of there as much as she wanted out, and I wanted to help Jake smash through that door. With us both we can take it down. A few vampires clawed my sides as they were trying to pass by me, I was blocking their way of escape while they were blocking me from fighting my way through. I yelled at Jake that I couldn't get through and told him to meet me at the spot. I was pushed back further away from them and I saw Davina's body fall as Jake nodded to me, "Davina!!!!" I yelled but my yelling was muffled out as more came running out of the Mansion, pushing me toward the outside battle.

Growling with frustration and worry, feeling anxious, I began fighting vampires and werewolves using my rage at not getting to Davina and taking out my anger on all of them, showing absolutely no mercy to anyone at all. I fought. Not one of them were able to touch me at how angry I was. My punches brutal, My hand going through chests and pulling out the hearts ending lives left in right. Then, I saw him, Demetri fighting just as well. He was laughing as he tore away heads and limbs of wolves and vampires that were on our side. His laugh cutting through my ears making me growl as my body began to shake with the rage I felt but then a hand pulled me down and I hissed at the person and realized it was Timothy my old friend. I looked back at Demetri who was now fighting somewhere further away from me, witches protecting him.

I looked back at Timothy as shock flowed through me, behind him fighting back to back with him was his beta Mike, and Alrik, Davina's Dad, my dad's best friend. Timothy pulled me toward him and asked, "Have you found Davina and Jake yet?"

I shook my head, "No."

"Well, you should save your anger and go find them, You both have to mark her together to save her life, she'll die at Sun down. Look up!" He yelled.

I looked up and realized the sun was sinking lower in the sky, we were running out of time. Worry replaced the anger I had just a moment ago. I looked at Timothy and then at Alrik who nodded at me, "Go save my daughter son!" Alrik yelled at me. They didn't need to tell me twice, I blinked and ran using my vampire speed, I ran towards the back of the mansion, heading into the forest. I quickly glanced back to see if I was being followed before I ran further in, but did. it see anything but I did see Demetri's Mansion exploding from the main floor, I hope they got out in time and are already waiting for me. I raced to the river with everything in me. Time was now my enemy, I had to make it there to meet them. We had to save her life. No matter what I go through, I don't think I can live in a World where she doesn't exist. Even if she's not mine in the end, I'll always love her and protect her, because before she was mine, she was and will always be my best friend.

Davina's P.O.V

I woke up on the floor in a dark deserted hallway. I coughed because of all the smoke that was in the air. Nothing but darkness, dust and clumps of walls fell from the ceilings lay on the floors in different places. I slowly sat up, my head hurt and my legs felt numb. How did I get here? I looked behind me and saw a man laying on his stomach and I backed away from him, crawling backwards and my back hit the wall, then I saw some light at the end of the hallway, I pulled myself up from the floor and as I did. I noticed it was a kitchen like room, and it was a counter I had lifted my self up with. I peeked over the counter and heard this weird noise like as if someone was eating something really wet, I leaned over squinting trying to see past the smoke and I blew a little. I regretted it right as soon as I did that, because it was a vampire eating a human, drinking from them hungrily. They're head snapped up to mine and they hissed. I gasped and backed up as the man on the floor from behind me groaned. I yelped and with my vampire speed aiming for the light coming through the room at the end of the hallway. I saw an open window and jumped through. I landed on the ground rolling. Without looking back I ran straight to the forest fear and confusion over taking my body.

As soon as I knew I was further in the forest and away from easily being seen, I slowed my pace. Staying low to the ground, on one knee, bracing myself to run, but where to run? I know I'm in a forest but where? I hear a stick crack to the right of me, I turned my head to the noise and noticed it's just a small creature, scurrying through the forest. Breathing slowly, I see my breath come out into the cool air. I realized it's cold outside but I don't feel it. I take a quick look around my surroundings and see orange, yellow, leaves laying on the ground all around me. I have to be careful when I begin to move again. Nothing but trees stretched out as far as the eyes can see... Another noise sounds, I look to my left, birds flying through the trees going about their normal routine.

I have no idea why I feel so scared and so confused. Where do I go next? I willed myself to move but something in me was telling me I can't move yet, they're watching and waiting...

But who? and Why?

Another stick Cracks behind me, I whip my head around to look and see a doe walking out slowly to the little bit of opening I'm currently residing in. The doe looks at me for a few seconds, as if just realizing I am here. The doe then continues walking slowly away, I guess they just decided I wasn't a threat.

Which I wasn't. I can never hurt a helpless or innocent animals, let alone I hate the thought of kicking a dog even if it was out to chop on me and tear me apart.

Then, I heard it, the crunching of leaves coming from both sides of me, running feet in the distance.. I quickly get up and run straight ahead of me. Jumping over fallen trees, dodging trees, avoiding thick bushes, and small gopher Holes or rabbit holes. I Zoom through the forest using my Vampire speed, while the sound of foot steps almost fading away from behind me. It feels like I'm gliding smoothly and soundlessly through the forest. As if I was weightless.

I keep on running smoothly, without bumping or tripping into anything, which amazes me. Soon, I see a small river running through my path, it must be about, 10 to 15 feet wide, the water was low, easy to walk through, as I get near I prepared my body for a leap. I fly through the air with incredible speed. Excitement cursed through me like a tide wave, filling me with joy as I am surprised by my own speed and strength to easily clear over 15 feet in one leap of faith, but before I can touch the ground on the other side of the river, my body is slammed into another's body and I go rolling and hit my back against a tree, as someone quickly grabs unto my mouth before I can even open my eyes and catch my breath to scream. Hardin's hand pressed to my mouth as he chuckled at me, "Davina shhh." He whispered to me. Relief flooded me instantly that it was only him I must have heard.

Then, he was grabbed from behind and thrown away from me, "Hardin!" I yelled. As a man dressed in dark clothes full of soot slammed Hardin to the ground then I heard laughing. Hardin was laughing at his attacker. Frowning at them both. I got up as the other man I recognized that was lying behind me in the mansion was Jake. He rolled over laying beside Hardin and both were laughing.

"Geez Jake, look before you attack next time." Hardin says.

"I did look and what I saw was another man attacking my mate." He says.

"She's my mate too Jake." Hardin Chuckles, "But I am glad to see you."

"I'm glad it's you than someone else too." Jake gets up and then glares at me while I sat back down on the ground in front of them, exhaustion taking over me.

"What?" I croaked. My voice was raspy from all the smoke inhalation.

He said, "Why the hell did you run from me?"

My eyebrows rose and then I frowned, "What do you-" Then I smacked my forehead, "That was you laying behind me in the Mansion?! That was you chasing me?!"

"Well yeah, I rescued you from that tiny room." He says.

I frowned at him, "I thought you couldn't get it open?"

He looked down and sighed and then Hardin sat up and looked at Jake curiously. "I couldn't get it open, the vampire women helped me, she knew Demetri's Code." He shook his head.

"Demetri's Vampire Bride Cassandra." I nodded, I met her during the ball. I hardly remembered the ball though because I kept blacking in and out with hunger. "Demetri wanted me to be his and I refused him, he then got me alone and I thought he was going to ask me about security stuff but then he pushed me in the room when I started coughing."

"Yeah, we saw, sorry you had to go through that." Hardin says.

"Yeah." I nodded and looked at them both, Jake was looking at Hardin then, and Hardin was looking at Jake as if speaking telepathically. Then they shook hands and put their foreheads together and whispered. "From here on out, we're now brother's, she matters more than us both."

Before I got to ask what gotten into them they both growled and Lunged for me making me gasp almost making me fall back but both their hands were holding me in place as their teeth sink into my skin, they both marked me. I was filled with pain and then pleasure as their venom both filled me from their wolves. I felt the heat of their bite flow fast through out my entire body making me moan as it washed over me in waves sending chills up my spine and as they're teeth came back out they sealed their marks and as soon as their marks closed.

Celine pushed forward with me sharing control and I was overwhelmed because I hadn't felt her in a few days already. I reached out for Jake and he scooted back to me as I pulled his neck to my teeth and I marked him, bitting into his flesh as it popped and broke through with my teeth, I let my wolf take over the marking, I also felt pleasure and he sucked in a breath as part of my essence went into him as well. He pulled me closer to him holding me in his lap. Then I pulled out when my wolf knew we were finally linked mind, body and soul.

I got off his lap and looked at both of them smiling. I felt way better than I did before. I was no longer confused. I felt strength running through my veins, I felt like I can run around the world a few laps, I felt power and strength surging through my veins, like as if I never was sick to begin with. I can also feel both of them, they're love for me.

I laughed, "You saved me, you both saved me!" I jumped and hugged them both. Then sparkes hit me from the left side of me and a strong pull, I jumped back surprised letting them go. I looked at Jake and he was just staring at me mouth hanging open, shocked. I looked at Hardin who just smiled at me.

I smiled at him, and for once, I really wasn't confused. I jumped into Jake's arms laughing and crying, he held me tightly to him as he cried, I buried my face into his neck feeling sparkles and tingles flow through me as our skin touched. My body filled with relief. "Your my mate." I whispered. Jake was my true mate and now that I was marked, I can feel it clear as day. I was made for him and him alone and he was made for me. I was so relieved that I didn't have to choose after all.

"Yes, I am, and I'm so sorry." He whispered.

I looked back at him, "What for?"

"I put you through too much b*****it" he says.

I chuckled, "It wasn't just you, it was this whole mate bond mix up thing. But, we finally figured it out thanks to you and your families help."

"Yeah, I guess your right." Jake said.

"We better head back now." I got up and pulled them both up with me and said to them, "I'm going back in there to fight. No more running away. No more confusion, No more hiding. I'm sick of hiding and not being able to do anything. I'm going back, are you coming?" I step away back up towards where we ran from.

"Of course, I got my whole family in there I don't want to miss out." Jake smirked.

"I have My dad's best friend in that fight and my Soul Mate going back, of course I'm going back. Besides, Y'all need my fighting skill, to get back in." Hardin grins then he gives me a quick hug and looks me in the eyes, "I'm glad to know that I'm not your true mate Davina, it means, that I get to find my mate someday, but I'd still have you in my life. I love you still the same but a different kind of love." He says.

"I love you too Hardin, like the way I love family." I smiled at him and gave him a hug again, he really did feel like home to me when I hold him.

"Same." He says, "I kind of figured it be Jake."

I looked up at him still in his arms, "Why you say that?"

"He awakens something in you that I never could, and he challenges you in ways I never could. Sure, I read you like a book, but he's the ignition to your fire sort of thing. I actually am more relieved than anything, I worked so hard to get to you and you helped me come back home to where I belong, now I understand our friendship runs deeper than anything, well besides the mate bond you both have." He smiled at me and smirked at Jake who smiled at Hardin.

"Well, I'm glad your okay with this, and Jake, I'm also very sorry Hardin and I-" I stammered looking at him and he cut me off, "It's okay Davina, really, we were all confused, it wasn't just you, I'm just." He sighed, "I sort of wished you could have waited but I get it it's the crave that pushed you to it, and honestly I think it saved your life, from what Timothy told me, if you hadn't with Hardin, you would have died days ago now, so it was worth my loss in having you, I should actually thank Hardin for that, you gave her a fighting chance to hold on longer for us to save her." Jake smiled. "Let's go fight with our family."

We began walking back towards Demetri's Mansion again and before I jumped back across the water I looked back at them both and said. "No more hiding." Then I jumped and ran.

"No more hiding." they both agreed they both jumped and ran and fell into step on either side of me. We kept running, not running our fastest just more enjoying the strength we now had. I can feel what they feel now and I knew they felt complete. We all felt whole again and more ourselves than before we got into this mess. I could laugh and cry at how truly happy I felt at just finally feeling like myself again.

actually I don't know what Jake did but I can hear you both.

Huh, neat. Jake says.

So, we were all able to mind link together now, but not sure how we were hearing eachother like that, I thought only packs can do that. It's because of us, they're both connected to us now. Celine says in my head. Celine, it's been so long since I heard you. How are you doing? I am doing fine, I was asleep for a long time after I couldn't heal you anymore which was couple days ago now. I'm better now, I feel way different than before, it's hard to explain but I have a feeling we'll soon see why.

As soon as we reached the clearing behind Demetri's house smoke and fire was seen in Demetri's Mansion, it was burning from the inside, but mostly in the first two floors from, "Why's it burning?"

"Explosion, that vampire girl told me Demetri set his house to self destruct." Jake says.

"Go that way!" Hardin commands and we followed Hardin, he had more experience in battles than we have and we automatically followed his lead. He led us to the left side of the Mansion, we used our inhuman speed to get into the fighting. We looked around and we had to step over a few dead bodies scattered the ground, there was blood everywhere you looked.

Right away I spotted Demetri, he was fighting werewolves, snapping necks and then disappearing and reappearing else where. Then I saw my dad, he ran right past me then her turns around just in time as a vampire I didn't see was chasing him, had lung at him and my dad grabbed his throat and pulled out a piece of his neck and the head of the vampire sagged back as his body fell to the ground. "Dad!!" I yelled.

"Davina?" he looked at me and I ran with my vampire speed to him and hugged him tight. "Wow! My baby! I thought I'd never see you again! I came here for you."

I looked up at him and kissed his cheek, "I love you dad."

"I love you too my baby girl." He kissed my forehead, "Ok, let's beat these b*****d's."

I looked around and already saw Hardin and Jake fighting off other werewolves, they remained in their natural forms doing it. Then a Vampire came grab my arm yanking me to them and I laughed, making my dad raise his eyebrows. Then I pulled out the vampires heart and threw it at a random vampire who turned and hissed at me, I smiled, which made the vampire angry and they came running to me and I ducked under their outstretched arm then I turned my body and kicked their legs and they hit the ground as I jumped on their back and pulled their head off, just then, a werewolf tried to sneak up behind me and I turned in time as it's jaws were snapping and I shoved the vampires head inside it's mouth and he skidded on the ground choking on the head and I used my vampire teeth and bit it's throat out as they fell to the ground choking turned into gurgling.

My dad Whistles as he watched me while I killed another vampire just as easily. "Impressive." He says.

"Had to have gotten my fighting skills from somewhere." I shrugged.

"Maybe from both." He jerk his head toward his right and not too far maybe like 40 feet away I saw my mother Aria, fighting lethally taking on 3 werewolves by herself and killing them a lot faster than the other, going in blinding speed. I looked at my dad and smirked "Your right." I said and he chuckled. Beside my mom was also Derek, he looked up at me as he punched a vampire who staggered away from him and he grinned just as the vampire got back up and he went back to fighting.

Then I looked over and saw this man walking up toward Jake, He was big and tall, with long black hair that was tied in a man's bun. He talked with Jake as they fought off a werewolf, then the man looked at Hardin who nodded at him then the man looked at me and smiled then he leaned in and told Jake something then Jake nodded. The man used inhuman speed and jumped back into the main battle, where it was thickest.

what was that about? I asked Jake,

You'll see, when he does it, we do it too.

Confused, I frowned but someone crashed into me making me hiss and I turned around and saw a werewolf fighting another Werewolf, not knowing which one to fight I back away then I grabbed another vampire and ripped his heart out. This fighting is going to go on forever, it was already night outside but most of us can see perfectly as if it were day time.

Then, a loud guttural growl shook the entire area making everyone stop fighting and we all looked in the direction the growl came from, it came from that man Jake was taking to. He shifted into his Primal Werewolf and he let out a loud roar that made a few Werewolf's whimper and vampires hissed backing up from him. He was huge, maybe 9 feet tall, I realize that must be Timothy, the First Hybrid, Jake's Great Grandfather. Then I looked and saw fear etched in Demetri's face as he stared at Timothy in shock. Some Werewolves ran from the area. Then Jake's voice flitted to my head through our link, Turn, Davina now!

I licked my lips staring at Demetri as hunger for his blood made me seethe in anger at what he did to each of us and what he did to me before Jake found me, and what he did to the women around this place. A low growl escapes my lips and my growl grew louder and shook the earth from where I was standing. I let Celine take full control as her anger and hatred towards Demetri grew as we thought of everyone he hurt. I let out a massive roar at the same time Hardin and Jake roared they too turned into their Primal Werewolves right after Timothy Turned. A lot of vampire and Werewolves backed away from us in fear, and I saw a bunch of witches running away from us. We can here Demetri's men Hesitating in fear as they took us all in, and shocked gasped shot across the entire place, everyone has stopped fighting and watched. We walked toward Demetri but Demetri was trying to turn and run the other way fear coming out of him in waves, but then a huge light exploded in front of him making him stagger back his arms up shielding his eyes from the bright light. Then I heard voices chanting, they were causing the bright light and causing him not to escape the fate he was going to get from 4 Primal Werewolves.

The ground rumbled beneath our feet with our low growls as we stalked Demetri as he tried to run away, looking like a small rabbit looking for a hole to hide under. Werewolves, Vampires and witches moved out of our way. When we finally surrounded him, Demetri Coward low to the ground and yelled, "After what I've done for you all!!! None of you are helping me!!!?? Where are my wives!??" Demetri screamed frantically looking around. Then out of the corner of my eye, I see two women standing 50 feet away waving and blowing kisses toward Demetri. I turned back to look at him and saw he was looking at the two women, hatred in his eyes at their disloyalty to him.

"You are being taken into custody for all your crimes. You will shut down this operation and you will tell us of all the others working with you and give us a list of buyers, if you don't cooperate you will be put to death." Timothy says.

"I'd rather die! I am not saying anything!" He yelled.

Then Timothy grabbed him by the throat and roared in his face. I knew, that he was going to kill him, right here and now, in front of everyone. Surprising us all, Demetri laughed. I glanced at Hardin and Jake, then stared at Demetri who then began to laugh harder, he looked up at us then his eyes blazing red and his fangs slip out of his gums as he had a cruel smile on his face. Then his neck started growing thicker under Timothy's grip, as he laughed more. His head grew bigger along with his body, His hair on top his head shredded away making him bald as his entire body shuddered and cracked. He was now standing at 7 feet tall, and he bent over then we all staggered back as wings spread out behind his back. His claws grew longer than ours and he was bald and grey looking everywhere, with pointed ears, his wings almost looked similar to bat wings. He began flapping. Some people that were near him backed away from him shielding their eyes from the dust his wings caused as he lifted off the ground slowly. He was a monster with wings. He looked at us on the ground and smirked.

"What are you?" Hardin's whisper in wonder drifted to my ears.

Then, Timothy surprised me yet again. Timothy Turns into a similar creature to him except his had brown colour bald skin and his long black hair was still in a decent man bun. Demetri's eyes grew wide and couldn't believe it, that Timothy was both. "Y-Your!" Demetri stammered.

"Timothy Craven, Hybrid." He says and these, he also gestures to us, "They are also Hybrids."

"That cannot be! It's rare! I thought you all were just Werewolves who figured out how to go into Primal." He hisses, his entire body shaking with rage as he took a good look at all of us again. He hisses again and yells to the other vampire and Werewolves who stayed "Attack!!"

I looked around ready to fight as some of those loyal to Demetri they lunge for all of us at once, but I can see they were all outnumbered as most of them ran away and the witches has stopped fighting against us and had left. We took down Demetri's followers easily, as we outnumbered them. Our Beasts were no match for any of them as we sliced off their heads with one wipe of our extended claws. Blood squirted everywhere, snarls died out, it was getting quiet again. I stood and watched as the others took care of the remaining werewolves and vampires. I looked to the sky and saw Timothy and Demetri in their winged beasts fighting, both were giving deadly blows to eachother, although it seemed Timothy was more swift as he dodged Demetri's claws.

I looked to my left to see how Jake and Hardin were doing but as soon as I looked, two vampire women jumped on my back biting into my neck, both had their claws deep into me. I let out a painful Roar as I fell to the ground. DAVINA!!!! Jake shouted through mind link.
