Chapter 15 Here we go.

Davina P.O.V

The Next day We trained again, I was getting stronger, faster and my movements were getting more stealthy. Sometimes Derek couldn't keep up with me. He use to be a challenge for me but now his moves are becoming predictable and I've outsmarted him today more than once. Hence why he is now taking a water break sitting beside me. As for me, I still have so much energy left, I can probably keep going for another couple hours.

"I can't believe you did that last move on me, your good." Derek says to me as he takes a swig of his water.

I smile and shrug, "I don't know about you but I can keep going."

He rolls his eyes, "Whose teaching who now?"

I giggle, "Your still the best teacher these guys have out here. It's just, I need a better challenge now."

"I'll do it."

My head whipped around and saw Aria walking towards us, her eyes not leaving mine with a smirk she jumps up onto the Sparing and combat platform. "Unless your scared."

I scoff, "Me? Scared?"

Derek said, "You should be, she's a highly trained assassin and the only one here."

My jaw dropped, "Really I thought there are more of you."

She pierce her lips and shook her head, "It's why I've always been so busy. Well? Shall we test your skill?" she raised an eyebrow.

I got up and walked over to the right side of the platform and got into my fighting stance. She came walking towards me, like a lion ready to pounce, eyes narrowed at me, she began walking in quiet circle along with me, neither of us ready to make a move on eachother. If she made a move on me, I had to be ready, I kept my eyes locked on her and all the while trusting my vampire reflexes to react as soon as she makes her move and using my werewolf instincts testing her steps. I know I also have to be careful not to use my Wolf too much, which was why I was only using instincts and not using any other abilities because if I used more, my eyes would change and glow electric blue instead of just glowing light blue.

She went in for a slide to knock me off my feet but my vampire speed was much faster and I jumped in time and let out a kick hoping for a blow to her face while she was bellow me sliding under my legs. But, she was also quick, she grabbed my foot she tried to twist my body by twisting my foot, which I felt coming with my instincts I twirled and landed on my feet gracefully in a crouch hissing with my fangs out, while she turns and stands facing me her eyes narrowed ready to go again. She swung a fist towards my face, I dodged and blocked while connecting a punch to her face which caught her off guard. She grabbed her face, eyes wide and then I kicked her legs from under her and she fell but somehow managed to do a back flip kicking me under my jaw.. I hissed at her again, I used my vampire speed to Grab her shoulders and knee her in the face but she grabbed my arms and pushed me away from her. Both of us breathing hard and determination in our eyes along with our stances. We attacked eachother again and again. Both of us not giving up, both of us not really hurting the other as much as we tried.

"Give it your all Assassin!" I hissed at her as we pushed away from eachother again.

"Okay, no more holding back, give me everything you've got little Vamp." She smirked.

That smirk did it for me, I raced towards her as she raced towards me, we started throwing fists at eachother, kicks, but nothing was managing to land on either of us, our movements began to blur to everyone else but us, she was fast, but somehow I was faster. As we kept going, I noticed she started to get slower and I slowed as well, wondering if she was testing me, or giving up, but then my wolf side smelt it fear, and my vampire heard her heart hammering in her chest and can hear her lungs struggling to fill fast enough to keep up. She was getting tired.

I completely went for a quick jab to the stomach but she pushed my hand away then connected with my face and I fell with one knee to the ground. I knew I had reached her limit and I wasn't even done yet but, I looked around quickly, sure enough there was a crowd and some gasped when they finally saw me go down. Then, my mother jumped on my back putting me in a neck lock and I fell to the mat and I put in some effort to try break free but I knew I had to let her win. So I made it look like she had a little bit of a struggle before I went down and tapped out.

Everyone erupted in shouts and chanting "Aria! Aria! Aria!" Aria held her hand out to me for me to stand and we shook hands as I walked off and joined Derek for a drink of water while she stayed and did high fives with some of her trainees.

I was Downing my water and Derek was eyeing me suspiciously and I shook my head, indicating that whatever he wanted to say, can wait until we don't have ears on us. Then I was given a pat on the back, I felt the sparks of our mate bond before I turned to see him. "That was a good fight, you've gotten better."

I turned and smiled at him and said, "Well, I got the two best teachers, they deserve the credit." I gestured to Derek and Aria, my mom.

Jake nodded in agreement and nodded at Derek then he walked off to the weight lifting. We weren't allowed to show too much of our affection towards eachother in public, because people still think I'm Derek's mate. A week ago, Aria had to take Jake back to the Mansion to report Jake to him that she found him near our place, snooping in the windows, and he was going to punish him but my mom kindly asked him if she can punish him, and he was way too happy and excited to see what she'd do, he wanted him to swear allegiance to him and in the end, he did, he had no other choice. My mom beat the crap out of him in front of Demetri, just so they can please him and then Demetri wanted my mom to train him and keep an eye on him, so she has been doing just that all week. This was a test for her to see if she can handle taking over the breaking and training of new comers.

We still haven't found Hardin yet. The longer he's not with me, the weaker our bond is getting. I know he must feel it too, where ever he is. I frowned, Last he was held at a Witches house beside Demetri's Mansion, After that, we lost track of him, my mom tried asking around a few trusted witches in this place, but none knew where he was, she even went out there to watch movement of that House, but no one went in and no one came out. She was beginning to wonder if when they come out they were probably cloaked by magic. A few times she snuck Jake to go with her, now that we know he's Half Werewolf and half Warlock. He actually believes Hardin has never left and it's as if Demetri and the others forgot about him. Which is why I am worried even more about him. If he never left and if no one goes there to check up on him. I hope he is not starving in there. Maybe that's what they're doing to break him. They don't go easy on anyone around here. Your either with them or you dead.

I wish I can go and see him myself, but I can't. I wonder though, would it matter if I was to get close enough I can feel our bond better and know that he's alright? I mean, I'm able to tell when Jake comes near me, wouldn't he be able to feel me too? I've gotta ask about this later.

Jake and I are getting pretty close too. We sleep together every night, just holding eachother. We both agreed to not get too physical with eachother, but it does get hard from time to time. He makes me feel shy, excited, and I'm just so damn attracted to him big time. I'm always turned on by the little things he does.

Like, the other night we were laying in bed and he surprised me by grabbing a paper and drawing on it, and I found that very attractive. Which is weird because he's only sitting there drawing. It's the way he draws which makes me go crazy, how serious his face gets, the crease between his eyes when he's frowning in concentration. The way his hand muscles glide the pencil across the page so delicate and smooth with such precision. See? Weird and crazy and it's the small things like that, that just drive me wild about him. After he was done drawing he hid it from me which takes all the giddiness away from me. He says drawing is like therapy for him just like how some people hold diaries or journals. Drawing and painting is his way of expressing his feelings and getting them out. Which is understandable whereas for me it was working with horses and since I can't do that I rant it all out to Jake. By now he knows almost everything about me, he got used to me complaining to him about everything, I talk to him about Hardin, my sister, my mom and dad, everyone, he doesn't mind listening to me go on and on about my days and what's bothering me. Almost like Hardin, but Hardin was a bit different, he'd talk to me about them all and help me work out all my problems. Jake he just listens, I don't mind at all just as long as I get it off my chest.

The only things Jake and I do is kiss and have hot make out sessions. We agreed also to not get eachother off either as those are intense feelings and when we went there before, we almost had s*x and completed the mate bond. We can't do that, unless I made a decision on which man I want to spend the rest of my life with the most. I sighed.

"What's wrong?" Derek asked.

I shook my head, "Nothing, I'm getting hungry now."

"I bet, you worked your butt off all day already, we were gonna get some warriors a run today, Since Jake is an Assassin trainee he has a different schedule. He can go up with you to have supper, We'll be home later." He walked up to me and gave me a small kiss on the forehead and I gave him a hug.

"Be safe, see you later." I whispered.

"See you later." he whispered also and walked off.

Again, we had to try be affectionate in public, otherwise they'll think something is wrong. Those are the only thing Derek and I can do. As a soldier he had to show me minimum affection they can't see him as too soft and at the same time I'm glad because too much would be crossing the line with my brother. I'm just glad a hug here and there was enough to convince these people.

"Ready?" Jake asked me running up beside me.

"Yeah let's eat, I'm starving."

I turned around and waved at my mom and she waved and smiled, "Good match today." I nodded at her and kept up pace with Jake.

As we went in, Jake quickly shut the door and locked it and I was in his arms kissing him immediately, feeling our bond strengthening again. I felt him deepening the kiss and it made me tingle all over as his hands began exploring my body, he reached down and put his finger in between my lower abdomen and pants squeezing his way down slowly which made me wet down there. I grabbed his hand and pulled away from him shaking my head, more at myself for stopping him.

"We can't." I whispered hoarsely.

He sighed, "I'm sorry. I just loose it when I'm close to you."

"It's okay Jake." I said. I turned and walked towards my room.

"What are you doing?" he asked, following me.

"I'm going to take a shower and then I'm going to cook and call in a human to drink from."

"Can I join you?" He says leaning in to me with a mischievous smile on his face.

I closed my eyes breathing him in, and said, "Yes, but you can't touch or on second thought, never mind."

He laughed, "Your right. It's fine. Go enjoy your shower I'll start in the kitchen and shower after you."

I smile at him and kiss him on the cheek, "Okay thank you."

I quickly showered, threw on a Shorts and tank top and put on my black fur slippers I made Derek buy me since I can't go out and shop for myself, only trusted Warriors on missions and because he's the head Soldier he can do whatever and go wherever. It's always a risk because Demetri had spies everywhere, which is why we always wait to talk important things in this apartment like room in this mansion. I strolled into the kitchen and helped Jake prepare the food, "What are we making?"

"Chicken Salad and Garlic Bread. I'm already cooking the chicken, you can make the butter part for the garlic bread and then chop vegetables, I'll chop the romaine." Jake says.

"No problem." I say as I grab some tomatoes, onions, carrots, Celery, and a large chopping knife. I cleared my throat, "So, are you going with Aria later tonight to check on Hardin?" I asked.

"Sure, you know we go every night, why?" he asked me.

"I wanted to tag along." I said.

"You'll have to ask Aria." he said his voice stern.

I put down the knife and faced him, "Look, I know it's dangerous, but I feel our bond weakening, to a point where I only feel you and maybe if I go-"

"Then what, make it stronger?" he asked as he looked at me face stern, jaw clenching, he looked annoyed.

"Jake, Hardin means so much to me just as you do and if you were there in his place I'd do the same for you no matter what. I know you hate that you can't have me to yourself but, Hardin's life depends on this bond right now." I pleaded with him.

"So what if his life was not on the line then what?" he asked.

"I'd still go because he's been my best friend years before all of this." I said firmly.

His jaw clenched, and for a moment, I was a little bit turned on by his jealousy towards Hardin. "You still have to ask Aria if it's safe. If it's not safe you stay here."

"Okay I'll ask and if it's not safe I'll stay for now." I challenge.

He sighed, "It's hard to stay angry with you."

"Your angry at me?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Yes, because of your love for him." He says truthfully.

"Well, I love you too Jake." I said softly and held his hand in mine.

"I love you Davina and will do anything for you to be happy. Even if I hate it." He kissed my hand and continued to cook.

"Thank you." I said to him. and he nodded while he worked with the chicken, I went back to chopping veggies.

We cooked in silence for awhile, just enjoying the sweet aroma coming together in the Tossed Chicken Salad and Garlic Bread we were making together. I really do love Jake, I fell for him in this short while and everyday that we spend together and everyday that I learn something new about him I love him even more. I am still getting to know him. I also love Hardin, Almost half my life I have loved Hardin. I know him but I know we still need to catch up to speed with eachother, we've grown so much since he went missing last year and we've both changed since then. It's really hard, loving two men at the same time. I don't want to lose either of them nor do I want to choose just one of them, because by choosing one, I'm forever losing the other. That's why I wish this double mate bond would have been figured out already but it hasn't. How can it? If I chose Jake right here, right now and just finish the mating, then what would happen to Hardin?

I'm also risking my own life by taking long to choose my mate because, by completing the mate bond will give me my full potential of being leader of our pack back home and also it's preventing me from mind linking anyone else when or if I am in danger. If I can't complete it, I won't be able to even connect to my own pack back home.

"I'm sorry, you have to go through this and I know I am not making it any easier by being jealous of Hardin." I stopped mid eating and swallowed my food. That came from out of nowhere. Jake does this to me, keeps surprising me, he's unpredictable to me which is why I he excites me. He continues, "It's just, I don't completely know you the way he does, I see the way he reads you carefully and for me it's hard to guess what your feeling at any moment, he knows just the right things to say to you and he also knows how to somehow help you when you need it even when it bothers him, like I know he's the one who told you to give me a chance and that he'll stay by your side but let you have your space at the same time. I can never do that for you, what he does. It's why I can't truly hate him. He loves you so much he's willing to let me get close to you to make you happy, and that's all he wants is for you to be happy and safe." He sighed.

"So, you did hear us talking back when we were at Emily's." I said.

"No, he told me what he told you while you were in the shower, I was speechless but then he said if I pressured you about s*x, he'd kill me" I chuckled, "I'd like to see him try. But I get it, what he was saying."

I smiled at that memory of Hardin, he was willing to give up his heart for me to be happy with someone else just so he can have a fair shot at fighting for me in the end. I know that's his reason, if Jake gets first chance, I know Hardin will want his chance next. Because we both changed and grew up. We do have to know eachother again. "Well after we date then it has to be me and Hardin again. You both need that fair share." I frowned, "That didn't sound right, Ugh, I sound like a total S**t."

He shook his head, "Your not, this mate bond is different than human dating. We have to do what we have to do to figure things out. After all it's not finished until one of us mates you." He smirks. "And hopefully we do it before the heat."

"Heat!?" I sat up straighter, "What's that?"

He dropped his fork, eyes wide, "You don't know what that is?"

I shook my head at him confused.

"Oh well, how do I say this, Um" He stammered, "A heat usually happens when a female wolf needs to have s*x."

"Your not making much sense Jake, are you saying I would be made or forced to-" I tried to say but he cut me off, "No. It means that When a female needs to mate she will have to mate because a heat can be life threatening if you do not. What I mean is, male wolves can smell an unmarked female and the heat the female attracts them to mate and mark her if she's in heat. As for the female it's like a fever the only way to keep cool is by bath or body heat from your mate bond."

My jaw dropped and said, "So how long does it last?"

"Two weeks, but would be less when having s*x with your marked mate." he says, "It's why you should be glad that hasn't happened yet.

"Well when does that usually happen?" I asked

He shrugs, "No one knows, it just happens and it usually happens once every six months for females but see, your a hybrid so might be sooner for you."

"Might be sooner!" I groaned, "Great more pressure as to try choose one of you."

"Sorry, I thought you knew."

"Really? Jake? How would I know that when I only learnt what I was until the night I changed." I said to him.

"Right. Sorry, I should've told you." he frowns and shakes his head.

Instead of being in love with two men at once and knowing the longer I go without choosing to mate and mark one of them the weaker we are all getting, now I may go in heat soon and on top of that I also have the crave for the marking, so one of these days I will be forced to choose one either way. I'll lose one of them and I'll gain one. Will my heart break? Or will I be Whole? So many unanswered questions, they can't be answered because what we have is rare. This double mate bond doesn't happen to everyone.

"Great, just what I need more pressure to choose. I'll go with you guys tonight." I stated to him and just then, the door opened and in walked my mom Aria and my brother Derek.

They both strolled in, with blank expressions on their faces. They're always so hard to read when they get back from training or missions. They went straight into the livingroom and sat down and waited. Jake and eye looked at eachother and went to join them quickly. We knew they only tend to sit in the living room because they bring some news.

We didn't speak for a few moments, I waited for one of them to start talking. First, Aria went straight to the point like she always does, "Since I've been doing a great job on training Jake this past week, they want me to start your training Davina as a third Assassin."

My eyes grew wide in shock, "An Assassin? But, I am only just beginning the combat training."

"You did so well today that everyone noticed you beat me, your stronger than me, and we all know you would have beaten our mom if you didn't make yourself fail." Derek smirked at me.

I smiled at him and dropped my smile when I saw the look on Aria's face, "Everyone saw and now everyone knows, including Demetri. That's not good Davina, that Demetri knows."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because, if he knows how strong you are he may get suspicious, it takes years for someone to show your kind of strength. Years of training. You show too much potential for an average Vampire and he's going to notice." she warned.

"If she beat you today he would have noticed she wasn't an average Vampire, but she didn't." Derek added.

"That's not the point, she has to do better at hiding what she is, she can't be better than me in public." Aria said.

"Okay well next time I'll fight slower or restrain my strength a little more." I said.

Aria sighed, "I'm sorry you have to hold back but from now on, you have to."

"Done." We nodded and Jake was silent, he looked in deep thought. Which reminded me, "I wanted to go with you and Jake tonight, to spy on the witches house."

Aria shook her head and pierced her lips, "It's too dangerous, I'm already putting Jake in danger by being with me, if one of the witches find out. No."

"I'm not taking no for an answer, I am coming. If there's a chance I can somehow get closer for Hardin to at least feel the mate bond and get stronger by it, then I'm gonna take that chance and go with you both." I looked at both of them, pleadingly, "I have to try, I already feel him slipping and it's physically and mentally hurting me."

Aria looked over to Jake and Jake looked on the floor frowning. "I have enough power to conceal myself and you both, but you have to stay close to me to keep up the cover, if anything goes wrong, Davina you run." Jake looked at me then when he said the last part.

I nodded smiling, happy that I can go. Every night for a week I've always been pacing my room waiting, hoping for good news and worried that they wouldn't come back at all.

"Okay then, let's get ready, suit her up and let's go quickly." Aria stood up.

Jake came and put his hands on me and I saw his hands glow a orange color, I looked at his eyes and they were shut, he was muttering in a different language, he stood like that for only 2 seconds and he backed away and did the same for Aria. Shocked I looked down at myself and was wearing what almost looked like a catsuit. I was wearing a black Cargo Spandex pants with lots of pockets, and a black long sleeve turtleneck crop top that stayed close to my skin, My long thick hair was tied in a pony tail and I had on knee high heeled boots. I was amazed, the clothes feel and look real.

I looked up and saw that Aria was wearing regular black cargo pants, black longsleeve turtleneck shirt that didn't go above her belly button, she was fully covered, and she wore black boots and had her hair in a tight military bun. I smiled at Jake while he was closing his eyes and his clothes also changed into black cargo pants and black t-shirt and black boots. Then he reached over to me and touched the side of my face gently and then kissed my forehead and then he turned and touched his face and whispered and I saw that his black hair grew longer and in a man bun and his face changed it wasn't as masculine but more harden than before and grew a stubble, and then his eyes were Blue instead of a dark brown. He didn't look like Jake anymore. "Whoa." I said amazed.

He grabbed a mirror Aria handed him and faced it towards me, "You look different too." Frowning at him I looked in the mirror and my jaw dropped, I now had a straight small nose and high cheekbones Grey eyes, and blonde wavey hair in a ponytail and it was shorter than usual. "Holy Crap!" I shrieked.

Aria, Jake and Derek all laughed at me. "Wow this is- I've never seen this done before, wow Jake, your very talented."

"Thanks, alright." he claps his hands, "We are all suited up now and just a heads up Davina, that Glamour on your looks will last a couple hours and the reason I need you close is because I'm also going to make you invisible. The glamour will stay but the invisibility will faulter when you go like, over 5 feet away from me because keeping you invisible takes a little bit of my concentration. Aria doesn't need glamour because she's highly ranked above guards, above warriors, soldiers and whatever, and I am posing as a trainee guard. You have to stay invisible because everyone knows there's only suppose to be one guard in different locations around the Mansion, and they see it that she's training me that's all. Which means you have to be quiet at all times. Okay are we all ready?" He asks and then says, "Any questions." he looks from me to Aria, we both shake our heads.

"Okay let's go." Aria walks out.

"I'll be out for my nightshift down by the perimeter again tonight. I too also have a trainee to train." He winks and walks out with us.

I wondered then, when Jake was going to make me invisible, didn't he had to touch me again or mutter a spell or something? I reached over and tapped Jake on the shoulder and he turned raising an eyebrow and completely not looking at me and whispered "What?"

I whispered, "Aren't you suppose to make me invisible."

"I already did now shush." He whispers again.

I was taken aback. He's that powerful. Again he amazes me, When is he never going to amaze me. I followed them closely as I remembered it only works if I was within 5 feet away from him. So, I stayed within 4 feet behind them, as we head out of the Mansion. Here we go.
