INSURRECTION

Darca's treatment was becoming so cruel to his army. Lydia have tried in so different occasions to stop him but he was still adamant but yet; Lydia decided not to give up. The beast were obeying Darca but not at their will but because they were afraid of their lives.

Jeremy decided not to bother the beast any longer. He was happy for the division he was creating for Darca and his beast. He knew that it won't take long before the beast will start yearning for revolution so he decided to let them be and watch how things unfolds from the sideline. He concentrated more on his army, their training, building more weapons; the army of fairies were able to develop carts with ballista, they built wheel carts, shield, spears, crossbows, arrows, all manner of swords and battleaxe. Jeremy decided to lessen the burden of the armies by giving them day off. He believed that the ring is no longer in danger now that their opponents were in chaos so they do spend sometime together fishing and planting flowers whenever they were not training.

But meanwhile; At wastelands, the beast were now tired of being controlled as slaves in their own lands. They started gathering themselves together. They would check how loyal any of the beast was to Darca; before they would decide if to let him know about their plan. They convinced their former leader; the one that was supposed to be in charge before Darca conquered them and he also became part of the plan.

Lydia doesn't like the idea of Darca treating the beast in such cruel manner. She called on Darca's notice asking him to stop, she pleaded with Darca to treat the beast with little respect, in her words, she said;

"I will like you to remind why those beast became part of your quest?"

Darca was mad at that question but choose not to react, he then answered her;

"I defeated their former commander in a one on one conquest so it's in their rule that they will do my biddings"

Lydia then replied him;

"No, you're wrong. I also know the rule about one on one conquest governing the land of the beast. Their rule said that when one defeated a leader or their champion in one on one conquest; they will grant the person a request, and if they person needs another request; he will have to challenge their second champion"

Darca then replied her;

"well then, maybe they are still granting me my request. the request I made about them joining my league.

Lydia also reminded him about another rule of the beast that went against the idea of a stranger leading them. Darca was furious that he shouted;

"if then; it ain't about granting me my request; why then did they joined my league? "

Lydia walked up to him and said;

"you promised them Ezra, you promised them the ring, you promised them fresh waters. the joined your league because you promised them a better world where they don't have to feed on one she or travel miles in order to find a hunting game"

Darca replied her;

"And I'm on the quest of doing all that before they decided not to be part of the plan anymore. How can we conquer the ring when all they could is to trap themselves in here?; putting themselves on siege.

Lydia then told him;

"you shouldn't be mad at the beast, because anyone in their shoes will also do that. I have seen that kid and the stuffs he can do and I must confess; I'm also scared of him so if you wanna be mad at someone else's, be mad at Jeremy".

Darca flared up and thundered;

"do you think am not worried about that kid?, do you think I'm not seeking for solutions to this?, why the hell am I on your neck on destroying our connection with the ring?, if my powers is having effect on him, do you think I wouldn't have destroyed that kid?. Besides, this my mode of leadership now shows those creatures who is the boss around here, and also let me clarify it to you; No one can be on those creatures shoe cause they literally don't wear shoes".

With that, he left the attic.

Jeremy was patrolling outside the ring when he saw a Minotaur and two cyclops entering the woods, he jumped on one of the tall trees and decided to spy on them instead of attacking them. He knew for sure that three soldiers won't be stupid enough to attack the ring. He saw the soldiers entered the woods, after they checked the perimeter and when they thought it was safe; they all sat down and started discussing.

Jeremy couldn't grabbed anything from what they were saying; he thought that it might be because of his distance from them so he quickly sneaked close to them but still couldn't understand them. That was when he realized they were speaking strange language. He used his powers to interpret what they were saying and that was when he understood that the best were complaining about Darca's new attitude towards them. He learnt that they were planning a revolution so he decided to let his presence to be noticed by them.

He jumped down behind them and one of the cyclops spun trying to hit him with his axe but Jeremy caught the blade with his bare hand and gave the cyclops a push kick which sent him crashing with a tree leaving the axe in the hands of Jeremy. The Minotaur jumped in air and tried to smash Jeremy with his hammer, Jeremy jumped after him and gave him a spinning back punch which also sent him crashing with another tree. The third cyclops tried to run but Jeremy punched the ground which caused the ground to shook knocking the cyclops off his feet. Suddenly, an energy barrier erupted from the ground and covered them creating no way for the beast to get away. Jeremy dropped his axe and raised his hands, he then surprised the beast by speaking in their language;

"I come to you in peace"

The Minotaur got up, he was surprised seeing Jeremy speak their language. He then replied him;

"what made you think we should trust you?"

Jeremy then replied;

"because I want the same thing as you; to stop Darca. Look; you guys are not my enemies, Darca is. Anything you do outside the ring is totally not my problem but trying to extend it into the ring; that when we gonna have issues and that is what Darca is doing. if you really wanna be free from Darca; I will be glad to help you".

The Minotaur looked at both cyclops and observed their mixed feelings, he turned towards Jeremy and said;

it's a trick; attack!

They all charged against Jeremy, he shrugged and said;

"if that's how you want it; I can do this all day"

One of the cyclops got to Jeremy first and tried to hit him, Jeremy ducked and attacked him with and uppercut on the belly which sent the cyclops miles away in air and he crashed with a thud. The second cyclops tried to hit him with a giant hammer, he punched the hammer breaking the head from the handle. He then kicked the Cyclops in the groin which caused it to bend his head; he jumped up a gave him a head stomp. The Minotaur grunt running towards him, he swing into action and tackled the miniature by the legs which got him crashing with the energy barrier. After the barrier electrocuted the miniature; it threw him back while Jeremy punched him while he was still in air. One of the cyclops that raised his head to attack Jeremy saw what happened and dropped his head back where he was lying pretending to have passed out. The Minotaur and the other cyclops continued fight Jeremy while Jeremy kept trashing them.

After five minutes of been trashed by Jeremy, the Minotaur was on the ground groaning with a dislocated arm while the cyclops was with a broken jaw, the other cyclops was still playing dead. The Minotaur got up painfully and asked Jeremy;

"So now; what's the plan?"

Jeremy smirked and replied;

"The plan is easy; the two of you with your smart friend over there playing dead should convince everyone of your kind to leave the castle, then the fairies will attack and defeat Darca for you and you will have your territory back".

the Minotaur then asked;

"That seems like a good plan but what's in it for you? It's not like you'll help us when there's nothing for you to gain in return".

Jeremy replied him;

Nothing except that Darca will let the ring be. you have your territory back; the fairies can be in peace. see; it's a win-win.

The Minotaur then asked;

"is it a deal then? "

Jeremy responded;

"deal. we better leave now before someone sees us"

the cyclops that was playing dead leapt on his feet and shouted;

"good idea"

He dashed towards the exit and the invisible energy shield electrocuted him for sometime before he freed himself. Jeremy chuckled and removed the shield. before they could understand what happened, Jeremy was no where to be found.
