Crane exclaimed;
"I'm so damned!, but I won't go down without a fight"
Darca smiled and said;
"anyhow you wanna bring it; bring it. I won't fight back; not even a punch".
Crane yelled and picked up his broken sword and dashed towards Darca; he tried to cut him but Darca was fast, he tried every move he learned but they were all useless. He decided to try out of the moves Jeremy taught them; he called that distracting the enemy.
Crane dashed towards Darca and tried to slashed him on the feet, Darca jumped up while Crane jumped after him and kicked him on the ribs. The kick pushed Darca back and he smiled and said;
"that's quite impressive, you got anything else?"
Crane threw his sword at Darca and dashed after the sword; Darca avoided the sword but was unable to avoid Crane kick. Crane gave him a knee kick on the jaw which sent Darca to the ground. Darca made to stand but he rushed after him and attacked with tornado DDT. Darca leapt on him feet and Crane gave him a drop kick which sent Darca to the ground and Darca shouted;
"stop! stop now or I will fight back"
Crane told him that he's not afraid, he said that fighting back will only make it more interesting.
Darca stood up and Crane tried to give him a push kick; Darca caught his leg but Darca spun horizontally in air and used the other leg to give him a drop kick on the face. They both leapt on their feet and Crane dashed to Darca but Darca grabbed him and crashed him on the ground with reverse powerbomb. Darca tried to pick up Crane but gave him code breaker and jumped on Darca trying to take him down with huricanrana but Darca stood his ground and hit Crane on the floor using powerbomb.
Crane tried to stand but Darca gave him a head stomp then grabbed Crane pinning him on the ground with sleeper hold. He asked Crane;
"give up?"
Crane shouted in between his breath;
"Never!"
Darca then replied;
"quite impressive; let see how long you can hold on".
After struggling for sometime, Crane quit and Darca let him go. Crane was on the ground groaning while Darca stood up and complimented him;
"wow, that was really good. I guess the alien kid is doing a good job teaching you guys all those moves".
Crane replied;
"No thanks to him; I learnt all this moves myself. Jeremy is nothing but a pain in the butt".
Darca smiled evilly and then said;
"wow, we both have something in common and that's; Jeremy is nothing but a pain in the neck for us. why don't join my league so we can crush him?"
Crane replied him that they don't have anything in common and he wasn't going to join his league with their stupid illusion of destroying the ring. He then said;
"if you won't mind; I got something important to do with my time than being part of your imagination".
Darca then replied him;
"like watching Jeremy take your position as the military commander and also taking your childhood crush; Diana".
Crane yelled and charged to attacked Darca but he grabbed Crane by the neck and gave him a choke slam. Crane grunting in pain asked;
"How did you know?"
Darca replied him;
"I watched the both of you grew up; I saw how you loved being around her. you, Diana and Chance were best buddies and I also knew you worked very hard joining the army just to impress her".
Crane told him that they have nothing in common and he rather watch Jeremy rule Ezra with Diana than teaming up with him. He also told Crane that Diana and Jeremy were having issues and if it continues; he might get a chance with Diana. Darca laughed and said;
"let's wait and see; how long you gonna endure watching by the sidelines. well; I will give you time to think about it, I will be here in three days for your reply".
Before Crane could turn; Darca was no where to be found.

Chance walked into his chambers and saw Jeremy, he was startled which got him to asked him his reason for scaring him. Jeremy told him that Darca was in the ring; he told him to deliver the message to Diana and also to secure the ring. Chance left immediately and sent some guards to guard both Ezra and Diana. He took some soldiers and went where Jeremy told them Darca was.
When they get there; they saw branches of tree and wounded Crane on the floor. Crane told them that Darca attacked him. they searched the whole garden but couldn't find Darca. they took Crane to their physician.
Diana was arguing with the guards when Chance walked in; She approached Chance and asked why the guards won't let her leave her chambers. Chance explained that he gave the orders; he said that he did that for her own good because Darca was in the ring. Diana then asked;
"Are you sure about that?, Did you see him yourself".
Chance replied that he didn't; he went further to say that he was told by Jeremy and he didn't wanna give any chance for Darca to attack them again. Diana flared up;
"what? Jeremy?, Jeremy told you and you didn't confirmed it before having my movement restricted. Don't you know; that blood thirsted monster was only trying to install fear in us".
Chance replied calmly;
"first; Jeremy is not a monster and neither is he blood thirsted; secondly, why would he wanna install fear in us?"
Diana then replied;
"he just want me to lift the ban on him going outside the ring. no Darca visited the ring, why would he even visit the ring alone?"
Chance walking towards the exit replied her;
"maybe you should ask Crane; he said Darca attacked him, he's in the right position to explain better. I'm going for security check, l need to ensure everyone is okay".

Diana met with Crane who explained everything that happened; Diana was grateful to Crane for defending their home, she applauded him for putting Ezra first even before his own life. She reinstated Crane as the commander of their Armed Forces.
The physician came, she said that Crane sustained no internal injuries and so would be discharged the next day.

Three days is already gone; Crane has fully recovered. he received a lot of gifts from Diana's when he was injured. He decided to approached Diana and thank her for her benevolence and then makes his feelings known to her. He approached Diana's chamber and heard some mumblings, he drew closer to the door and heard Diana's voice and a voice that sounds like Chance discussing.

Diana was sitting in her chambers lost in thoughts when Chance approached her. He greeted her while she responded with a wave, Chance then asked her;
"Can I talk to you?; as a friend"
Diana replied him nonchalantly
"if it's about Jeremy; better leave".
Chance walked to an available seat and sat down, he then said;
"This is madness; how can you be avoiding a person and yet; your body needs him. When will such madness stop? you're just becoming the shadow of your former self".
Diana weakly said to him;
"being a queen in time of crisis can be heavy for anyone"
Chance told her that he don't believe what she said; he told her that she should reach out to Jeremy so they can talk things out. maybe she should try to see things from Jeremy's perspective. Diana then responded;
"I love Jeremy; I really do. But I don't know if he still loves or care for me, especially after what he said during our last encounter".
Chance got up and smiled at Diana, he then said;
"Jeremy loves you, he might not say it but his actions, the look in his eyes every time he sees you said it all. Why do you think Jeremy is hell bent on stopping the beast; that might not be for Ezra; it might be for you. Can I tell you what Jeremy said the day Darca visited; He said I should take care of you and make sure you're safe. He didn't say Ezra but you".
Diana smiled and responded;
"oh; I don't know what to say; but it gladdens my heart knowing that he still cares; I think I should take your advice and make up with him, maybe try viewing things from his own perspective".
Chance stood up and took permission to leave.

Crane was outside eavesdropping when he heard Chance saying he was leaving; he dropped the bouquet he has with him, stomp on it till it's squeezed and he left for the gardens.
Chance came outside and saw the crushed bouquet, he picked it up and wondered who might dropped a crushed bouquet at the queen's chamber.

Crane was pacing at the garden when Darca walked in and saw him, Darca was surprised that he said;
"I never expected to see you but seeing you waiting for me gives me a feeling that you got good news for me".
Crane turned and smiled evilly, he then said;
"let's do this".
