SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS.

Diana was at the field watching the armies train, immediately, Jeremy walked in right through the boundary; she walked straight to him and confronted him about going outside the ring to attacked the beast but Jeremy swore that he never threw a punch out there let alone fighting an army. He tried to explained to her but Diana doesn't wanna hear it. she now said to Jeremy;

"I don't care what you go out there to do but whatever it is must stop, I'm forbidding you from leaving the ring from now on"

Jeremy was surprised and he asked her why such harsh decision, she then said;

"That's the rule, the boundary was there to protect us. it was built so no one will go in or out"

Jeremy asked her if the ring was protecting them then, He told him that it won't be long before the beast will come knocking. Diana responded that she doesn't care as long as they weren't the one that threw the first punch. Jeremy reminded her of his identity saying;

"You said the ring was here to protect us but I can take care of myself, I don't need the ring protection".

Diana then responded that it was the rule and must be obeyed. Jeremy reminded her;

"Remember, some rules are meant to be broken; and the world gives more credit to those that breaks the rule and set up new one"

Diana frowned and said;

"other rules might be broken but not my rule. No one is to leave the ring; and I'm now stripping you of your position as our army commander. The queen has spoken!"

With that she left the field. As she was leaving; Jeremy flared up and shouted at her which made her to stop;

"what have I done to you?, How did I ever offend you?, where are you so knee on tormenting on me? if I did anything wrong I'm sorry!"

Diana just continued walking while Jeremy exhaled and said again;

"you know what? I don't care anymore. I don't give a f**k about you; the ring or anything else. if I could leave, I would've done it long ago. I got trapped in chaos world and none of you is helping matters.

Chance tried to stop him but he shush chance and continued;

"Shut up Chance and let me finish, as for the shield; I will never stop going out there. I will never stop till I breaks Darca limbs to limbs till he tell me how to free my mother".

He started walking away then turned and said;

"I understand that no of you wants me in your midst anymore; I also want that too but I promised not to disturb each and everyone of you. From now, I will cease to exist among you. None of you will ever noticed that I'm still in the ring".

immediately he said that, he disappeared from their midst while tears dropped from Diana's.

It's already a week after Lydia and Cazi's showdown, Darca was already on his feet though the mercury poison still affects him, Lydia having no immunity to Mortal weapons was still unconscious receiving treatments. When Darca learnt of what happened and the role Lydia played; she was grateful for Lydia's actions. Zuma's action when he killed Cazi bought him pardon from Darca, Darca decided to bury the hatchet and accepted Zuma and his men back to his army. Is not like he have a choice; he needs more men in his troop.

Darca recruited more soldiers even women and children who were trained to be warriors. He divided his soldiers into three troops; The three soldiers that assisted him when he was ambushed by the Minotaurs, he made the commanders and Agar he made a general.

Chance approached Diana and confronted her about her reactions towards Jeremy. Diana confessed to him that she was scared about the ring, she told him that she was afraid because the ring might corrupt Jeremy. She then explained how Jeremy was becoming war thirsty; how he always seeks for a fight to extent of going outside the ring to challenge the beast.

Chance suggested that she dialogues it out with Jeremy but she responded that even the dialogue failed too. Chance then asked her;

"would you rather lose Jeremy over an issue dialogue can solve? "

She surprised Chance by her answer. she responded;

"I rather have him hate me than watching him to into a monster".

With that; she left the room.

Darca was in the attic looking around, he wasn't doing anything there. From the windows; he saw his army he sent on a hunt returning home. He was gladden to see them but when he approached them and realised they have no game; he was disappointed.

He started asking them why they have no game, they explained that they Wastelands were running out on food; that their animals will soon face extinction. They told him that even the Mavalon; the forest before the ring has being over hunted and they need an alternative as soon as possible.

Chance was checking out the garden, after searching for Jeremy for sometime, Jeremy showed up from a tree and asked him what he was doing wandering around the garden; He spun and saw Jeremy.

He tried to convinced Jeremy about making up with Diana but Jeremy response was that he wasn't having any issues with her; he said that he was only respecting his boundaries. Chance tried to convinced him into talking with Diana but he was still adamant on being invisible to everyone. He made Chance understood that he doesn't go back on his word.

Darca decided to visit the ring again. he wanted to see Jeremy after their last encounter. He walked passed the shield right into the ring. he came to the fields and used his connection with the ring to track the location of Jeremy.

Chance tried as hard as he could but couldn't convince Jeremy; He decided to give up for that day and try another time when Jeremy would be in better mode. He left Jeremy while Jeremy started practicing with a sword.

Jeremy heard footsteps behind him and without turning; he asked thinking it was Chance;

"I thought you said you were leaving?"

The person replied Jeremy;

"hello my little nephew"

Jeremy spun and saw Darca clad in black cloak and hoodie. He pointed his sword at him while Darca said again;

"by now; you should have known; that can't hurt me, and you're also as useless as that toy you got there".

Jeremy withdrew his sword and asked him while he was there at the ring. he responded;

"we couldn't finish our discussion the last time; because we had little company that came to play, so do we have a deal?"

Jeremy was confused and he asked;

"what discussion and what stupid deal are you talking about?"

Darca walked closer to him and said;

"I offered you truce; alliance. think of what we will achieve if we work together...."

Jeremy cut him in by waving him off;

"I'm not interested with your mad plan, so scram"

Darca tried to talk him into it saying;

"I'm doing this because I care for you, you're my nephew and I love you like an uncle. common, take this chance and rule with me"

Jeremy chuckled and replied him;

"you care for me?, I guess just the very same way you loved and cared for my mother too; by trapping her in prison for fourteen years".

Darca was surprised when he heard fourteen years because he doesn't think it's that long. Jeremy slowly move under a tree while Darca followed him, Jeremy raised his hand that has the ring on one of it fingers and pointed it at Darca saying;

"Maybe I can't hurt you directly with this; but I know just the way to use it against you"

He raised the hand up and a ball of energy hit a the branches of the tree and three huge branches fell on Darca knocking him out. Jeremy immediately left the garden.

Later that day, Crane was walking around the garden gathering some fruits when he saw a pile of branches gathered together. He walked closer to it and saw someone under it. He wanted to raised alarm but when he noticed the person breathed, He decided to rescue the person first.

Crane happened to lift of all the branches and the victim yearned and raised his face, that was when Crane noticed his identity; the victim was Darca. Crane fall back while Darca stood on his feet, Crane grabbed his sword and dashed towards Darca stabbing him. Darca said;

"aiya, but that kinda tickles"

Crane looked at his sword and realised that the edge of his sword broke when he stabbed Darca, he looked at Darca while Darca smirked. Crane exclaimed;

"damn me!"
