Ava’s Point of View The second I step outside, Luna pushes herself off the car and straightens. Her eyes immediately narrow slightly when she sees my face. “You look terrible.” I glare at her. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” I groan softly and walk past her towards the passenger side. “I really don’t want to talk right now.” I mutter while reaching for the door handle. Luna watches me carefully for a second before sighing. “Fine.” She says finally. “But we are talking in the car.” I close my eyes briefly. Of course we are. I climb into the passenger seat without another word and she gets into the driver’s seat a second later. The silence between us is painful. Not angry, and not exactly awkward either. Just... tense.
