“I don’t understand you.”
She says, her voice cracking slightly.
“You keep pulling me closer and then you push me away.”
I loosen my grip on her.

She turns fully to face me.
“I need you to tell me what this is.”
She says and my jaw clenches.
I hate that question, because I don’t have a simple answer.
“You make everything complicated.”

She asks quietly and I immediately shake my head.
