Carly stepped out of Vivian’s apartment with a puzzled look on her face. She turned around and nodded at Vivian before giving one last glance at the two cars still parked on the curb.
Vivian had tried to explain what she could to her without breaking her agreement with Marcus, but Carly could tell that she was hiding something and had asked her about it multiple times, but Vivian shrugged off all the questions that Carly asked that she could not answer.
“See you soon. Carly,” Vivian called out as she waved her friend off, “I will be in the office in an hour to announce the news to the company.”
