AMARIS POINT OF VIEW
The persistent sound of the doorbell downstairs woke me up.
'Ugh, who could it be?'
'It's saturday, my Goddess! Im going to beat whoever this person is, urgggh!'
Im literally dragging myself to the bathroom. Im not a morning person, so whoever is outside should have a good reason for waking me up this early.
Like duh, its just 7:00 in the morning and its weekend.
I take a glance at my reflection and disgusted at how i look. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I didnt bother to change anymore as im wearing a pair of pyjamas, but i made sure to put my bra on.
"Coming," i shouted as i descended from the stairs because the doorbell doesn't stop.
"Hey Amaris, good morning," a cheeky Maycee greeted me as i opened the door.
"What's good in the morning when you woke me up so early? You should have a good reason for it you doll," i said rolling my eyes.
I shut the door once she's inside and i lead us to the kitchen. I suddenly felt thirsty.
"My gosh Amaris, the sun is up already. Your gound has melted already, duh" she said as she sits on one of the kitchen stool.
"You know im not a morning person, yet you keep on ruining my weekend by waking me up early. I only have like four hours of sleep in case you don't know," i uttered the last part before drinking the water in my glass in one gulp.
"Says the one who stays awake at three AM reading supernatural books and wishing that it would come true," she rolled her eyes at me.
"Okay, stop right there. I dont need you to say bad words against my babies again," i call my books babies.
"Anyway, aren't you really going to come with us later? You're missing out on life Amaris." They will be having a family night camp at the beach tonight but i dont feel like going.
"I have some papers to do. I need to submit them on Monday for evaluation. You know that in a couple of weeks i'll be graduating."
"Okay, but at least, go out with me for breakfast at least and you can accompany me to the mall afterwards. I need to buy some things for tonight, please," she patted her eyes on me and pouted like a child. Its her way to make me agree to her, typical Maycee.
"Sure," i agreed. "Just give me some time for a quick shower and we're good to go".
"I love you, Amaris," she blows me kiss and giggled.
I left her at the sala before going back to my room to get ready.
Inside the shower, i feel delighted at the minty scent of my body scrub. I prefer these scents because it soothes and calms my senses plus, of course, its also one of the scents that i imagined my mate would smell like.
I cleared my mind before my imagination will take me to the pack house.
I showered quickly and put on my usual jeans, shirt and sneakers. I didnt blow dried my hair because i want it to dry naturally. I have a light brown wavy hair which i inherited from my mom.
I grabbed my bag and a book before going down.
Maycee and I went to this restaurant called Iceland.
While waiting for our tea and food to be served, i looked around. We are seated near the window and i have an easy access to the entire place.
My eyes were glued at a lean back facing me. He's wearing a black suit and his hair is pitch black. He is with two other men also wearing suits and they look handsome. But the man in the black suit have my full attention. Im silently wishing that he will look around so i can get a glance of him.
"Hey, Amaris. Are you listening?" Maycee snapped her fingers at me.
"Yeah, of course," i say mindlessly but still taking glancing at the man.
"What are you staring at?" she caught me. She turned to look at where im looking and looked back at me with her mouth wide open.
"Waittttt. Oh. My. God." disbelief was evident in her face. "Dont tell me Amaris that all of a sudden i saw you staring at some hunks in suit?" Her eyes is probing.
"Im not staring okay, I just happen to have a glance thats all." I sneered at her.
A staff is approaching us with our meal and i cant thank the moon goddess enough for saving me at this instant.
