Chapter Five: It's My Party...

Eleven Years Later... Lanas' P.O.V. 

My alarm goes off but I'm already awake. 

Todays the day!!! MY sixteenth birthday!!! Oh my gosh, this is so exciting!!! I've invited so many people, especially Kyle, from school to come to my birthday party it's unreal. This school year is going to start with a bang. 

I throw the covers off me and run to the bathroom. Locked? Ugh... 

"Danny hurry up. I need to start getting ready," I bang on the door with my fist.

"There's another bathroom just down the hall sis. Use it," he turns the water on.

"All of my stuff is in THIS bathroom, Danny. You know that."

I hear a sudden commotion in the bathroom before the door unlocks. Danny opens the door with things in his arm. Dropping his arm to his side all of those things hit the floor. I look to see all of my stuff is now on my bedroom floor. 

"And now they're not," Danny laughs as the door closes. I hear the lock click and know I've lost this one. 

"I'm gonna get you back for this Dan," I say as I put my things in my makeup bag. I hear is laughter course through the bathroom. We'll see who's laughing when I show him who's boss. 

My feet hit the cold hardwood flooring of the hallway. I make my way to the other bathroom upstairs and sit all of my things on the counter. 

Today has to be perfect. Ashley and I made a promise that when we turn sixteen we'd ask our crush out. Little does she know Kyle is actually the love of my life. Even if he doesn't know it yet. I mean, it was a simple little crush but that was until we had our first kiss. We'll he was my first kiss. Ashley was his... But it's not the way you think. It was because of spin the bottle at my thirteenth birthday party. 

*Flashback*

After the party was over Ashley decides the party shouldn't be over yet, "Hey guys. We should go up to Lanas' room and play a game," Her smile said nothing but mischief. 

"What kind of game?" Alex asks with a smile of his own. 

"Spin the bottle," Ashley says as she waves an empty soda bottle in the air.

"Hell yeah. I'm down."

"Are you guys gonna play as well?" Ashley looks around. With a bunch of 'hell yeahs' sounding off, Tommy, Kyle, Alex, Mikey, Sandra, Rachelle, Ashley, and I head up to my room. The girls giggling away at the thought of playing this game with the boys that are here. All the girls have a crush on each of them. 

As we all sit around in a circle no one makes a move to go first. That is until Rachelle gets enough balls to speak up, "Here. I'll go first since no one else is." She grabs the bottle and spins it. The bottle ends up landing on Mikey who happens to be Ashley's crush. She gives me a look that says she's NOT happy about this. 

"Pucker up pretty boy," Rachelle gets on her knees and leans in. To say this is the first time she's played this would be a lie. But this is my first time playing and the first time I'll actually have a chance at kissing Kyle. The boys lightly push on Mikey and laugh while Sandra giggles. I'm not laughing at all because I know how Ashley feels. 

"Promise me if the bottle lands on Mikey you won't kiss him," Ashley whispers in my ear.

"I promise. And you promise you won't kiss Kyle either right?"

"Yeah of course. What kind of friend do you think I am?" Oh, thank gosh... She's such a great friend. 

"Okay, now it's Mikey's turn to spin the bottle," Rachelle says as she sits back down. Mikey doesn't hesitate to use his turn. 

As the bottle comes to a halt the bottle lands on... Ashley! Yes, girl! Kiss your dream man! Mikey gets up on his knees and leans over to Ashley. They peck lips so quick I'm sure if I had blinked I would have missed it. As she sits down I can see a blush creep on her cheeks. 

"Okay. Now it's Ashleys' turn to spin," Mikey says. 

She spins the bottle... Landing on Kyle, she looks at me for a second before turning to Kyle. I know she's not going to do it so it's oka... Wait why is she getting up? Why is she leaning over to Kyle? Why is SHE kissing Kyle? as she sits back down she whispers to me, "I'm sorry. I just felt pressured to do it. Everyone was looking at me," She said quickly. 

"It's okay. I forgive you," I try to smile but at the same time I can't. She promised me... 

"Your turn to spin Kyle," Ashley says a little too flirty. What? Did I misunderstand her tone?

After a couple of spins, the bottle is back in Kyle's hands. So far the bottle has let to land on me and I am thankful for that. I really want Kyle to be my first kiss. He spins the bottle and I feel like time has slowed down as I watch it come to a stop. 

Me? 

It landed on me! 

Yes! 

Kyle gets up on his knees and I blush heavy. I've always wanted to do this and here I am. I just wish everyone else wasn't here. Then it would be perfect. 

He leans forward and I meet him halfway. As our lips collide, I smell the mints he was eating earlier.

Before I can explore any further, his lips are gone and he's wiping his kips off. Did I drool on him? Are my lips too wet and it grossed him out? 

"Your turn Lana," Kyle says as he wipes his lips with his shirt sleeve. Now I feel so embarrassed. Everyone just watched him do that... Ashley nudges me and I look over at her, "It's your turn," She says with a raised brow. 

Oh yeah. I guess I better spin now. If anyone will want to kiss me after that. Maybe I don't want anyone else to kiss me. These lips are for Kyle and Kyle only. 

"Just go already so someone else can..." Rachelle points to the bottle as she looks at me. 

Here goes nothing. I grab the bottle on the floor and give it one good twirl. It spins and spins and spins until it finally lands on... Mikey... 

I can feel all eyes on me. Man Ashley was right. There is a lot of pressure when your the one having to make the first move. Well I mean she did kiss Kyle so she can't be mad at me for kissing Mikey. 

Well... Here goes nothing... I get up on my knees and look over at Ashley. Her mouth is agape. Before I have time to back out of this kiss, Mikey's fingers land on my cheek and pull my face forwards until I meet his lips with mine. 

Wow... This kiss is way different than Kyles...

His lips move against mine. I'm not sure what to do so I just pull away from him. 

"Save some for the rest of us, Mikey," Alex says and everyone starts laughing. Ashley gets up and storms out of my bedroom. Everyone follows her retreating form while I jump up and follow after her. 

"Ashley wait... Ashley... I'm sorry," I call out to her. 

She turns around so quick I almost run into her, "How could you Lana? I trusted you!"

"I just thought that since you kissed Kyle that..."

"That what? That you could break your promise and kiss Mikey? Your such a backstabber!" She whisper yells at me. 

"I'm sorry. Please don't leave. I'm sorry. I won't do it again," I plead.

Ashley crosses her arms and looks like she's debating on forgiving me or not, "Okay. I forgive you."

*End Of Flashback*

Tonight I will make a move on Kyle and I have to look my best. 

I jump into the shower and let the steamy water work its magic. I later in the shampoo and rinse it immediately I add some conditioner to my palm and rub my hands together. 

After putting the conditioner in my hair I get to work on my body. First I scrub my body with my 'Lustful Wishes' body wash and then I start shaving. It's going to be a pool party so I have to make sure I look super smooth everywhere. And I do mean EVERYWHERE. 

I rinse the body wash off my body and conditioner out of my hair. turning the water off, I grab the fluffy pint towel and wrap it around my body tightly. 

I twirl my waist-length hair up on top of my hair and pin it up. I dry off with the fluffy towel and rub some lotion on my tanned skin.  Now I'm looking touchable. 

With my hair pinned up, I start on my makeup. Only the waterproof stuff will be used today since it's a pool party. I grab my mascara and run it through my eyelashes, making that weird face all girls make. You know what I'm talking about. 

Now that that's done let's add a little bit of eyeliner while a wing. 

And... Perfect!

I down neet to fill in my brows since I have blonde hair so I guess that's all for the makeup. I'm not going curl or straighten my naturally wavy hair because it'll be a waste of time if it gets wet. I'll just put some products in it to keep it from getting frizzy. 

I take the clip out of my hair and turn my head upside down. I grab the bottle of 'It's a 10' spray and add it to my hair. I shake out my hair my fingers and flip it a couple of times. Now it's time to head back to my room and decide on my bikini and the coverup. 

With the towel wrapped around me still, I bolt out of the bathroom. Not realizing anyone would be here I turn the corner and run straight into someone. 

Oh no... Kyle...

"Excited to see me, Lana?" He smirks as he looks at me. I watch as his eyes trail my exposed body.

"Kyle is that you?" Danny yells from his room.

"Yeah. I'm headed that way," He says without moving his eyes off me. 

I give him an innocent smile as I walk around him, adding a little sway to my hips. When I get to my room I hear Kyle in Dannys' room. 

Ha! Danny left both doors open. Wait a minute. Why did he open my door? I'm about to go over there when I hear Kyle again, "Man. When did your sister get so... HOT? Does he think I'm hot? No. That can't be. 

"Dude," I guess he realizes he left the door open because he closes his bathroom door. I walk over and close mine and lock it from my room so he can't open it again. 

I smile as I lean up against the door. He thinks I'm hot... Now I actually feel like I have a chance to win him over. 

I walk over to my walk-in closet and open the doors. This outfit HAS to be perfect. I look through my bikinis but nothing is speaking to me until my eyes run across this red bikini. That's the one. It's perfect. 

I grad the bikini and a coverup and lay them on my bed. I'm so glad mom and dad are gone for the weekend. They'd kill me if they saw me dress this way. I had to order this online so my mom wouldn't see it. 

It's Time To Party!!!

As the guest starts to arrive so does the beer. At eight o'clock the party is in full swing. The music plays by the pool. Some are dancing and lounging around while others are in the pool playing volleyball. Kyle and Danny are over my the grill making hamburgers. I can see they both have a beer in hand. Not judging... Just stating a fact...

Mikey comes strolling by and stops when he sees me, "Happy birthday Lana," He gives me a side hug as I thank him. 

"You wanna go get in the pool with me?" 

"Sure. Let me take this off first," I say as I tug at my coverup. 

"Sure thing. I'll..." I pull my coverup over my head revealing my little red bikini. The base of the bikini is red but it has all sorts of gold chains on it. The top has little gold chains around the bottom of it. They're short on the side and get longer as it gets closer to the middle.

The bottoms are held together by a gold chain on the side with three chains laying loosely from front to back moving freely on my body. The back shows off some of MY bottom leaving little imagination. 

I turn to Mikey after laying my coverup on one of the lounge chairs. 

"Dam Lana. You're looking fine," Mikey says as he checks me out.

"Can I tell you something?" I ask suddenly feeling nervous but I need a guy's opinion. 

"Shoot."

"Do you think this, "I point to my body, "Would get someone's attention?" 

"You've got to be kidding right?" He looks at me for a second before realizing I'm not, "Who's attention are you trying to get?"

"Kyle," I say as low as possible. I'm not even sure if Mikey can hear me and he's standing right in front of me. 

"Lana. He'd be stupid if he doesn't want you back. You're sexier than any other girl at this party. Now, Let's go take a dip in the pool. Get you your body all wet and then... And only then will you go talk to Kyle," Mikey nudges me. 

"Okay," I give Mikey a huge smile, hand in hand we run together. As we jump in the pool I hold my breath as I go under. 

I come up to the surface and gasp in air. Mikey wipes his face and looks over at me. He shoves me under the water again. I come back up as splash him. We laugh at each other and decide to join the game that's currently going on. 

All in all this party is amazing. But I'm getting exhausted in the pool so I think it's time for me to talk to Kyle now. As I leave the pool Mikey gives me a wink. He laughs when I start to blush. I'm getting nervous about this. Ashley swims over to Mikey, chatting to him by the edge of the pool. 

Okay, Lana. You've got this. Just go up and say hey. That's all you have to do. The rest will come naturally. 

I slowly walk up the pool steps to add a dramatic entrance. With a sway of my hips, I walk over to Kyle at the grill. 

"Hey Kyle," I casually say as I start putting a hamburger together. 

"Hey," Kyle turns to me, "Wow... You look... Different." 

"Is that good or bad?" I can't look at him right now. 

I'm so nervous he's going to turn me down.
