CHAPTER 14 “SLOW DOWN, JIMMY, wait for me!” As Roz jogged past the usual gaggle of gossiping women walking along the footpath to the village school she was rapidly coming to the conclusion that you could lead a man to healthy food, but you couldn’t make him eat it. When she’d returned home the previous night from Pilates, the smell of frying bacon had still been in the air. The delicious nut roast had been taken out of the oven, two tiny slices had been cut from it, but the rest had been left for her. It was clear that Mark and Jimmy had visited the late night supermarket as soon as her back was turned.
