CHAPTER 37
ROZ SPRINTED UP the stairs to the Pilates room, but was disappointed to see a notice on the door saying the course had been cancelled due to lack of interest. On hearing a sound behind her she turned around to see Alice slowly climbing the stairs, straining her eyes to read the notice.
“It’s cancelled. Lack of interest.”
“Oh no! Just as I was getting into keeping fit.”
“We can ask Ann at the desk to see if there’s any other classes.”
“Ok. I must shift some of this weight. My knees are starting to complain.”
As they walked down the stairs Roz had an idea.
“Why don’t you join the gym? I often nip in there for an hour or so while Jimmy’s at school. They have personal trainers who work out the right exercise programme for you. It could be just what you need.”
