Chapter 15 Fifteen months ago, Kristen never imagined she’d ever be able to smile again, but now she couldn’t stop. Every time she thought about Jax, the broken pieces of her heart felt a little less broken. It had been a few days, yet she couldn’t get his kiss off her mind. She could still sense the soft press of his lips on hers and his protective hand on her waist. For so long she felt that at any minute she would crumble, that the thread she was clinging to would snap, but today, she didn’t feel that way. Today was good. She made the kids breakfast and set the table all while singing along to a cheesy love song in her head. She couldn’t remember the last time she wanted to sing.
