"I'm Persephanie, I'm 17 years old, 18 in a few days. I go by Persie, I like art, reading and music." I moved here from Florida due to my dad getting a new job." I looked at the class in front of me, some seemed interested, while others didn't. "I have a twin sister, her name is Athena. Yes, my parents have a thing for mythology." I stared deadpan at the class, daring someone to laugh. Anyone? okayyyyyy, no one. "Does anyone have any questions for Persie?" the teacher asked. I could've died there. I hated public speaking enough when I knew people. "I have one," A girl raised her hand at the same time she spoke. Uh oh.... Blonde, in pink, excessive makeup. A popular. This should be good. "Who did your makeup?" she smirked and her posse giggled "it's so dramatic." "I did," I stared back at her intently, "Who did yours? The carnival? Because you look like a-" "Okay ladies!" the teacher interjected as the rest of the class erupted into laughter "Persie why don't you have a seat by Theo." I looked to where the teacher was pointing and had to stop my mouth from dropping open. Waving at me with laughter on his face and tears streaming down his eyes sat the most attractive boy I've seen in my life. He had dark black hair and olive skin. His eyes were a bluish green. He was tall and muscular, in a natural way. Not like a body builder. he had a few piercings: nose, lip and ear gauges. I shook myself mentally and started walking to the seat. I placed my stuff down in the ground and sat once I made it there. "Theo, could you share your textbook today, I'll have to find an extra." the teacher asked "Absolutely Ms.W". his voice was not overly deep like I expected. It was soothing, not high pitched but a nice medium. Get a grip. I chastised myself, he's probably a jerk. Theo moved his desk next to mine and put the book in the middle. "Don't worry Ms. Mermaid, I'm nice." What did he say? My eyes widened in shock. How did he know? Who was this kid? I decided to play dumb and just give him a nod. As I finished up my assignment, I pulled out my class schedule to see what was next. Math I internally groaned. As almost it he could hear my internal monologue, Theo looked over to me curiously. Before I could do anything he slipped my schedule from my hand. "Well won't you look at that," he smiled widely "We have all the same classes except for you have art while I have pottery." Greaaaat. just great. I forced a smile on my face as best I could, and eased my schedule out of his hand. He gasped when I accidentally grazed his hand. Freezing like something surprised him. "If you want I can be your personal tour guide until you get the hang of the school, it's kind of big and it can be easy to get lost. " he offered after a minute of silence. I thought about his offer, and realize I probably should utilize the knowledge he had of the hallways. The school really was big, a lot bigger than I was used to. I nodded my head. "Thank you, I will take you up on that offer I appreciate it, really I do." "All right first things first, where's your locker located?" he smiled at me charmingly. "It's number 302." I responded "you are kidding me, right?" he said in mock astonishment "my locker is 301, this is fate at work. " he said wiggling his eyebrows in a joking fashion. "I don't know about fate but I DO know it's convenient." I laughed at his enthusiasm. "I choose to believe fate." he smiled back at me. The bell rung indicating it was time to swap classes. " I'm gonna run to the rest room, wait for me by our lockers and I will walk you to our next class." he ran off quickly and I turned to make my way to my locker to put my new textbook away. "Well we'll, if it isn't the new girl." I heard a voice behind me say. I sighed and put my book in my locker and closed it then turned to see Ms. Popular and her posse standing behind me. I stood there waiting for them to say something else and when they just stared back I moved to walk passed them. "You know, it's not smart to make enemies on your first day of school, Newbie." Blondie said with an ugly sneer covering her face. The other two lackies nodded in agreement. "Did you also know that Sephora had ladies to help you find the right foundation for your skin tone so you don't walk around looking like a carrot?" I mused, a calm smile plastered on my face. Just then Blondie's eyes flashed from blue to yellow "You little bi-" she started but stopped he mouth clamping shut almost as if forced. "Audrey that's enough, go somewhere else..like somewhere you're wanted." a familiar voice said from behind me. "Theo, don't act like that isn't your room." she practically purred. This made my stomach knot up. Judgmentally I couldn't help but wonder why someone like him would want her. I guess weirder things have happened. I was spacing out wondering about the oddity of the two coupled when I heard a loud voice in my head SISSY! the voice shrieked, instantly I moved and watched my twin barrel through Audrey and her minions. "Watch where you're going, freak!" Audrey shrieked from the ground. Not yet looking up. her friends helped her up and she turned to face Athena. Then she realized she had to look up. her face blanched and she took a step back. "Sorry." she mumbled and I giggled internally. Athena is tall, but femininely so. Shes thin and platinum blonde. She honestly looks like a supermodel. Athena made everyone nervous, didn't matter who you are or what your sexuality. "Aw, don't apologize," Athena said kindly "I should be the one doing that. I shouldn't have been running but I just missed my sister so much." she wrapped her arm around my shoulder and I tried to wiggle out but couldn't manage it. "Sister?" Theo and Audrey both said simultaneously. "Yea, my big sis. By seven minutes" she smiled. "Im Athena. nice to meet you." Every person just stared and I felt myself getting uncomfortable. Theo seemed to notice and snapped out of it. "Come on, Persie, let me get you to class like I promised." I nodded as Audrey clicked her tongue. When my sister heard it she narrowed her eyes at her. Audrey took another step back. "My class is by yours, so if you don't mind I will join you." Athena said going from intimidating to sunshine in one quick movement. He's cute Athena mind linked me. She was checking him out, I rolled my eyes. You don't think so? He's been eyeballing you since I walked up. She grinned at me and I shook my head. We finally made it to our class and Athena went to hers. Theo opened the door and waived me through "Ladies first." he said smiling a very charming smile. "Thanks." I said rolling my eyes.
