Introduction to "Sin of the Father"
There are a select few amongst every generation, no less than 100 and no more than 500, that are born with the mark of rebirth. This mark means they will be chosen by one of the three main deities at the time of their death and be reborn to serve them in the afterlife. Legends state that with each new generation, an older generation is relieved of this responsibility and is able to move on towards their final peace.
For over ten generations, the Blackleach family has been ignored by the gods. Their bloodline has been reduced to only producing one son after the next, and the shame turns them to social pariahs. The tides of this bloodline will change when Moriah, born as [redacted], is brought into the world. Not only is Moriah the first Blackleach in generations to be born with the symbol of rebirth, but as the years march on, it seems Moriah was also born in the wrong body entirely.
Armed with the love of her family and the support of her closest friends, she works with an elder healer to right the wrongs of birth so she may live her live as authentically as possible. She aspires to be like her incredibly great-aunt, Rohana Blackleach, who had been remembered through stories passed down from father to son and now father to daughter. When she hears a school history lesson on the more commonly known details about her own bloodline and their history in the monarchy of the world, she is surprised to not hear a single word spoken of Rohana and is advised to never utter that name again should the immortal tyrant king hear whispers of the princess that he claims never existed.
Stunned, Moriah vows to learn the truth of her greatest-aunt. In the dead of night, she and her few friends embark on the selfless journey to seek the truth. Along the way, they meet new ally's and eventually come face to face with the tyrant King Aric Blackleach himself. Will the truth finally be brought to light or will the immortal man maintain the written history of their family bloodline at any and all costs?
