Chapter Eight
Elsie started to disagree, nodding her head when she noticed what felt like a hum of energy in the air.
"If you're asleep, you can catch a lift back to your world with them," Autumn said. "Not that it'll help if you won't at least try to reach us."
Elsie started to argue that she'd tried, but the look on Autumn's face made her believe the young woman had already made up her mind about the situation. She closed her mouth, trying to figure out how to escape. There was no way she could fall asleep right now. "How often do they come here? And how do you know they're from my world?"
