Chapter Seven When Elsie would have spoken again, Caidon clamped his hand over her mouth, preventing her. She glared at him, once again making unintelligible noises. He continued to meet her gaze. "I'm sorry I have to do this to you." He tightened his grip around her before drawing her away from the wall. She continued to struggle as Caidon dragged her down the corridor and into a kitchen, a trapdoor open on the far side of the room, steps leading down to a long narrow room. It was filled with cages, five on either side. Only three were filled. In the first cage on the left, a young woman came to her feet. She gripped the bars. "I changed my mind, Caidon. You can go to our father and tell him. Any plan he might have for me would be far better than spending another day in here." Caidon
