Chapter 1: Start of New Semester
I am currently here at my university, Limari University. I am now in my 3rd year, enrolled in Business Administration. Yes, I have survived those past semesters with a smile gaslighting myself that I can have a good life after I finished.
I am an independent woman living in an apartment near the school. I have taken various part-time jobs to be able to pay my tuition. My parents and I are living separately ever since I have been a college student.
“Elaine!”
I turned around and saw my best friend, Denise.
“Hi, did you see your room number?” , I said.
“Hmm, yes and luckily we’re on the same block room” , she said happily and hugged me.
“Now let’s get walking, shall we?”
She linked her arms to mine and walked excitedly towards are room.
“Hi, Elaine. Do you still remember me?”
I stopped on my tracks. Hearing the voice of the one I hated and made my freshmen year a hell. Seeing him there standing and with a smirk in his face makes me want to vomit.
“Oh, isn’t it the one and only devil himself, Randall”, I replied back sarcastically.
“ Do you miss me?”
“Hmm, no” , I said with a stern face and rolled my eyes.
“Oooohh”
I didn’t know that there is a crowd forming as we are talking.
Me and my best friend left him there and continues to walk to our room.
“Hey, Elie, do you uhmm like you know…” she said with a teasing tone
“What now Denise?”
“Uhm, you know.. Those kind of things.. Enemies to lovers? Just like your situation with Randall? HAHAHA”
“Really? Pft. Quit reading those books now Denise. You really do have a wild imagination, eh?”, I said disgustingly.
“Oh, come on. You never know what will happen”, she tickles me and pinched my cheeks.
“Ouch. Stop that. It will not happen over my dead body, Denise” I rolled my eyes at her.
That’s nonsense. Me and Randall? Pft. That’s gross. I can’t even bear to be with him even just for a second. He also made my college years a torture with his personality. He’s cold and a badboy. I’m carefree and innocent at ways. We’re opposite.
I sighed with my thoughts.
“Come on the professor might be here soon”, I said ro dismiss the topic.
