Isa’s POV I stood between the two guards, wobbly from the obvious blood loss, in addition to the withdrawal Evette had made, as the gash in my thigh continued to saturate my leggings. Lumis continued to bleed his puncture wound into Pipa, who drew a sharp breath, sputtering now as she returned to consciousness. “Thank god,” I breathed as she lifted her head up at last. The guard had returned. He stood off to the side, holding the red bag in his hand. Lumis looked from Pipa to another set of guards that had returned with the third and he spoke. “Take this one down to the infirmary.
