When I pulled my car up to the front of the house, Mathis was there waiting for us. He opened the door to my backseat and helped Dahlia get Lily out. “Valric, get them to the infirmary. Whatever they need, make sure Lily and Mathis get it.”
Mathis nodded in my direction and mouthed ‘Thank you’ as he scooped his mate up into his arms. Once they were inside, I parked my car, just in time to see Pipa parking a few spaces over, with Isadora riding alongside her.
“Close your eyes!” Pipa said to me as she opened the trunk. “Don’t you open them!”
