My eyes fluttered open, and everything was dark. I could barely see anything, and my heart raced with fear, thinking the enemy must have captured me. But then, the light came on, and a confused Vordian rushed to my side.
“Elowen,” he shouted, sitting beside me. “How are you doing?” he asked.
I gave him a smile and looked around the room to confirm if I was dreaming. I reached out and squeezed his shoulder.
