We were taken to a tent, given food as promised by Torin and later we were summoned to face him. As we sat down around a table, my heart started racing fast as I feared that the worst was about to happen. I sat down beside Voridian while Maverick was to my left and Karius sat beside Torin.
“So you need my help against Harry’s son who had killed his father?” Torin asked the same question for the umpteenth time and each time Voridian nodded in response.
I heaved a deep sigh because he was our only hope and if Voridian believed in him, there must be a reason.
Torin didn’t respond right away. His fingers tapped silently on the table. He looked at me and stared back and then he looked down at the necklace around my neck, the one my father had given to me.
