Olive wondered why she hadn't heard about the festival before. Strange though how they were going to limit numbers, maybe it was some very fancy soiree where the rich danced to live music and drank cocktails with names that she couldn't even pronounce. Funny how they had written 'Nature Lovers', perhaps they would be raising money for a wildlife charity or some other good cause. Olive was determined to ask the Crawfords about their festival when she collected the fruit on Saturday, maybe she could persuade Geoff to get out his best suit and take her. It was ages since they'd last had a really good night out and a party at the manor house might do them both the world of good.
As it happened, Olive didn't get chance to tell Geoff about the offer of apples or the Summer Festival that evening
