“Oh, the packets! Oh, yes, perhaps there is something in the storeroom, thank you Geoff.” She lifted up the counter hatch and led him through the beaded curtains to the rear of the shop. Everything seemed clean and neat, nothing out of the ordinary. Except, Geoff suddenly realised, there was no stock whatsoever on the floor, so the little devils must be climbing up the metal racking to get to the food!
