he quickly conceled the gun in his pocket, hoping that he was fast enough so the the police man didn't see it. so far it didn't seem like he did. he just went about his business of getting some coffee.
he was struggling with his next move. part of him wanted to run, which was probably the logical thing to do. besides what was he gonna do ,wait for her to tell the cop that he had just walked into a armed robbery.
he was just about to turn and hurry towards the exit, but her words stopped him.
"don't forget urge change sir" she said, as she gave him all the money in the register.
With a startled and confused look on his face he took the cash, as he told her thank u. he then turned and quickly exited the store.
why did she do that? he asked himself. why hadn't she just yelled to the cop for help? he still couldn't believe that she had just handed over the money like that. he surmised that she must have seen the pain he carried in his eyes. they were the one thing that always gave him away. his mother used to tell him his eyes never lied even though he might try.
he had only stole about 350 dollars, but hey it was a start.
after a lot of contemplation, he decided the armed robbery wasn't to his liking, and due to the fact that he was too young to find a job, he thought that drug dealing might be his only feasible option. since he had a quick and almost brilliant mind, and an apt with numbers, it came to him.pretty naturally. over the next few days he was dillagent with his self control. he only spent what was truly necessary and saved the rest. he always reinvested with a.lil extra on top. before he knew it he was getting pounds of weed. he mostly would roll blunts and sell them for 10 bucks each. it tripled his money every time, and it didn't take long before he was making good money. he made sure that his good business ethic showed in order to make sure that his customers were happy. But it wasn't too long before he was faced with one of life's brutal realities. One could never make everyone happy. u may try everything u can possibly do to appease everyone, while others may see it differently, and in doing so one can create himself some enemies along the way. the one place that always stood true, if jealousy was involved, we'll that was a explosive mixture just waiting to explode in some shape or form. one can be fed by the brutal concoction, which leaves a person drunk on covetness. it wasn't long before he was to find out that harsh reality.
