In all actuality, he knew that he didn't have anywhere to go. he had been raised in his tight knit but small resemblance of family. most h ad already passed away, or moved on to another place far away from where he now was. without his parents he was truly alone.
As he walked on into the night that realization hit him like a ton of bricks.with no one to turn to ,he knew that he must now fend for himself. it was at that momeent that he had felt totally and utterly alone. it ent shivers down his spine that shocked him to the core.
he shook the thought from his head. he told himself that what was done is done. no amount of crying or wishing was gonna change that. now he must keep the only thing that mattered to him in his mind. survival. he must fend for himself.he decided he needed to make some money eyes and fast.
he decided that he was going to go home and get his parents pistol. it was a small 28 snubnose revolver, easily concealed in a pocket but powerfully enough to put a hole through someone. it would work perfectly for what hea was gonna do.
without any hesitation, because he knew that if he procrastinated, he would probably lose heart and end up not. following through with his plans, he started in the direction of the closest gas station.
right before he got there hhe took off his shirt and wrapped it around his face to conceal himself and quickly went into the store.
he walked up to the girl at the register and pointed the gun at her.
she hadn't looked up at first, due to her being distracted by her phone. but when she did, the barrel tat now was aimed at her face seemed so cold and fearsome. she suddenly felt the urge to swallow. as she tried to gulp. away her fear, she inadvertently put her hands up.
"please dont kill me" she pleaded with him.
"I'm not here to kill u". he responded to her fear stronghold face.
"I dont really even want to do this. but I have to" he added.
"what do u mean u have to" she asked.
S he looked at her he felt shame in what he was doing. and he almost changed his mind. but then he remembered that if he didn't do this he wouldn't eat tonight.
" just give me all the money in the register and I won't hurt u" he told her.
There was something in his soft blue eyes that put her mind at ease. suddenlyshe no longer felt as if she needed to fear him or the situation anymore. it was then that she decided to give him what he had asked for.
"I'm just gonna reach under the counter to get a bag for the money", she told him. his only answer was a small brief nod.
As she began to open the register and retrieve the money from within, she couldn't help but scrutinize the young man's appearance. his clean cut appearance and his ability to clearly communicate with her left her puzzled. she could tell that he was actually a lot bag younger than her first guess. the beard that she thought she had seen when he had first entered actually ended up being the shadow of small patches of peach fuzz. the clearness of his eyes showed no trace of addiction. after taking all of this in she still felt that something didn't feel right about the situation at hand. she had a question swirling through her mind over and over. what was it that had pushed him to pull off a strong arm robbery. the sound of the bell fastened above the door set to be triggered when the door was opened startled them both. the blood instantly drained from his face instantly, and his heart began to race. it beat so hard that it could be heard and felt in his ears. walking through the doorway was a city police officer.
