Kathrine was still not convinced she had the whole story. Martin wanted Cade at the game, true enough. Was insisting, in fact. But why? Cade, by Ava’s assessment, was a mediocre player. And what possible bearing could Cade have in Martin’s quest for Mrs. Ng? She got up and went for the wine bottle.
