Her Three Mates

Chapter 9

Ruby’s POV

“She is waking up.” Rowan's dejected voice says, I open my eyes slowly, I am surprised I am in another environment. How I got here I don’t know. My body seems so heavy, but I don't feel any pain. I remember getting stabbed, and losing my consciousness.

Three pairs of eyes are looking at me, the shock and pain is evident in them. Rowan kneels beside me and takes my hand carefully.

“I don't know what I could have done if anything bad had happened to you, Ruby.” He speaks his eyes on my hand, I can feel how hard he is holding his tears.

“Don't you dare touch her again, blood sucker.” Owen interjects, yanking Rowan off me. This is what made me get hurt, these fights, how am I going to make peace reign between the four of us? “You lost that right when you hurt her.” He adds, blocking the path to both Damien and Rowan with his huge arms.

“Stop it please.” I beg. I feel so defeated.

“You have to ask them to leave Ruby, you are mine.”

“She is mine too.” Damien and Rowan say in unison.

“But I haven't accepted any of you yet.” I say, trying to get up so I can look at them better. I pull myself backwards and lay my back on the bed. I still don't know where I am yet.

My words seem to bring them to reality, since they all stop arguing and turn to face me. Their angry faces change and become like little boys who are begging for some toys.

“Where am I?” I ask

“In my house Ruby.” Damien answers, moving slightly forward towards me.

“The alpha house?” I ask just to make sure.

“Yes Ruby.” He answers politely. I wonder how they came to a conclusion to bring me here, I know how they can get with each other.

“How long have I been out.”

“Three days.” Rowan answers, looking down, I feel so bad for him.

“Does my mother know?” I ask, I hope she doesn't because I have worried her enough.

“We came up with a plan to hide the truth from her baby, Zama covered for you, she told your mum you were spending a few days with her.” Owen says. It's clever and I am elated each time Owen calls me baby. I know he must be listening to my thoughts because he winks at me. I ignore him though, I want to clear the air first.

“But what if I died, what would my mum have done?” I ask, I immediately regret my statement because the trio rushes to my side. Owen jumps on the bed beside me to the right, Rowan takes my hand and kneels right beside me and Damien straddles me, but he doesn’t sit on me. I am now sandwiched between the three, and I swear it feels heavenly, I feel complete.

“Please never say that Ruby please.” Damien begs me.

“If you die, I die baby, there is no life without you.” Owen says, kissing my cheek.

“If that had happened Ruby, I would have driven a stake deep inside my cold heart. I hate myself for what I did to you.” Rowan says, I feel something cold dripping on my hand. My heart breaks, he is crying.

“Rowan no, please.” I beg, raising his chin up, so he can face me. “I forgive you.” I say. I wasn't even angry with him in the first place.

“Really.” He asks, another tear strolling down his eyes. I nod and smile. He falls on my lap and holds me so tight around my waist. I place my hand on his head soothingly. I look and Damien and Owen. “I am sorry for why I said Okay.” I apologize to them.

“You are forgiven, Luna.” Damien says, I decide not to correct him. I scoot a little so that I can make space on the bed, I then tell Rowan to sit beside me as well after he has had his moment to cool down.

“How am I going to be with the three of you, while you hate each other like this? I don't want to be getting hurt each and every moment, I don't want to choose between the three of you either.” I say in a low tone. None of them answer, they just fix their eyes on me. I can feel how their hearts are beating faster than usual. Damien is even sweating.

“What if I go on a date with each of you separately?” I ask smiling. I can't bring myself to reject them, I can't break their hearts because I will be shattering mine in the process.

“Really, that would be fantastic.” Damien says, smiling . I hear him releasing his breath. Same as Rowan and Owen.

“What do you say, Rowan, how about you and I have our first date tonight.” I say, turning to face him. He is the one looking heartbroken.

“I will never say no to you, Ruby, I will be honored.” He answers, takes my hand and kisses my knuckles. he is really a gentleman. His face immediately lights up, and I feel a load being lifted from my heart.

weirdly the others don't oppose, I expected some commotion, but I am glad it didn't happen.

I realize that I am carrying their pain and happiness as well, but we haven't even mated yet, how come?

“So gentlemen, I need to head home now.” I say, looking at my men. I can't believe it, I feel like I am dreaming.

“I will take you.” Owen says, before I can protest, he places a hand behind me and in a flash I find myself in my room. Owen is sitting at the edge of the bed looking through the window and the other two are not there. how he got there so fast, I don't know. By the looks of it, he seems mad.

“Hey.” I call out to him, he doesn't even flinch. “Owen, please look at me.” It breaks my heart to feel how sad he is. This is torture, to have to experience someone's feelings first hand.

I crawl to him, and I find myself embracing him from behind, and I place my head on his broad shoulder. My whole being wants to comfort him, I want to take his pain away.

“Owen, please talk to me.” I whisper.

“Stop Ruby, please.” He speaks in a really low tone, I know exactly what he means because my p***y is already going cuckoo inside my pants due to the proximity. I slowly plant a kiss on his neck, he moans, tilting his head backwards. I run my hands on his chest, but he holds them tight, stopping my movements.

“Owen.” I say his name longingly, I want him, and he knows it. I want all of him.

“No Ruby, you have to make a decision first.” He says, scooping me from behinds and placing me on his lap. His movements are so fast and swift. He cups my face in one hand, "I want you all to myself, Ruby, I don't know how to share.” He says. Is he going to reject me? My heart falters as I wait for his next words.
