Chapter 28 - The Declaration
[Calysta] "Are you alright?" Gwen asks me as she studies my face. I had not realize that I've been spacing out for a while as I sit on my bed. "I'm fine." I reply as I run my tongue across my lips, feeling how dry they are. Gods, were they this dry earlier? Gwen furrows her eyebrows, looking at me like I've done something suspicious. I have to stop her from imagining things. "Just a bit hungry." I reply as I watch her dust her pillow off to get ready to sleep. "How would you not be? You didn't even have dinner." She replies. I chuckle, rather nervously. "Everyone else was looking for you, wondering where you've run off to. Uly was quite worried." She goes on as she finally lies down and pulls her blanket over her body. I lie down as well. "Even Gabriel wasn't there." She adds,
