Ben’s POV
“BOSS!!”
My eyes snap open and I feel the pain hit me like a freight train. Physical pain like I’ve never felt before in my whole life. A pain that feels like it might turn me inside out, chew me up and spit me back out again.
“BOSS!!”
The muffled voice penetrates through the invisible balls of cotton wool that have been rammed into both my eardrums. I try to talk but the action steals the air from my lungs, and instead, all I can manage is a stifled groan as I roll over onto my side.
I stare at my useless arm lying beside me, limp and badly burnt.
Fucking do something!!
Fucking move!!
My demands go unheard. So I try with everything in me to summon every ounce of strength I have left.
“f*****g HELL!!”
The muffled voice gets closer and I look upwards into the fog
