New Beginning

The priest did some calculations. “ The name of the baby girl should start with ‘ I. ’ ”

“The name of our princess is “Ishani”(boy name will be“ Ishan”). ” The king announced. The Brahmins were served food first than other people alongside the guests, who were all royals, so they were served in different rooms. The celebration ended in the afternoon.

Ishani started to grow day by day. She became a source of energy with her cute and lovely personality for everyone in the palace. There are only 20 days left for my 18th birthday. Soon I will be living my life as a boy. I will travel around alone and will make some new friends. I know it's fun to live as a girl when I am a boy, but not that much. It's a fun story about how I found out that I am a boy. I have a cousin who is younger than me by full four years. She was a baby of 2 years old, and I was 6 years old. Her mother means my aunt was about to bathe her. She is a girl, so i saw she looked different from me in the lower region of her body.

So i started crying and ran to my mother who was in her room. I was crying and mother was trying to console me, so after some time I calmed down. I look different from Siya (cousin's name). So she asked me what happened and I told her everything. So she smiled at me and said, Kiddo listen, you are a boy not a girl, so, of course, you are different.

So she told me the story about my naming ceremony and what had happened. So you have to live as a girl until you are 18. So made me promise her not to tell anyone until I became 18 years old. My mother the queen never went easy on me because I was a boy. She told me how to cook, clean, read, knit and how to do beautiful art on cloth with thread and needle, which I also like.

My father taught me how to do horse riding, spear fighting, some defense fighting without any weapons and taught me political work. I have gotten the best of both the worlds.

I also enjoy the process of all these things. Every year there is a big celebration for my birthday. So I am looking forward to this year too but this year on my birthday my dad will announce me as a prince and the next king of our state. Father always says I have grown up to be a good person and I always want to be like that.

Every day went on as usual until today. We got a letter from our general that our enemy are going to start war, so we need send him more rations to defend against them in case of any causality or lengthening of the war period.

Father started to prepare for war. He prepared the soldiers and rations for emergency situations. The soldiers and weapons sent rations to the border. They reached there in three days at fast speed. By the time they reached there, the war had already started. The war went on for five days . The soldiers of Indrapuri are at a disadvantage against TrilokPuri state.

Both sides' soldiers died in numbers of hundreds in one day. Many women became widows and childless in just five days. So the king, aka my father, decided to send a letter of peace to negotiate a way out of war because we couldn't stand pain more for our people. We sent our fastest horse rider with the letter to the border. The letter reached there within 2 days.

We got a reply that in 2 days they would only negotiate with the king himself, otherwise they wouldn't mind having more bloodshed than had already been done. The minister told us there could be some trap in this. We should make any decision very carefully which can end all of us in a bad situation.

We need to negotiate this war. We lost two captains in this war who are not even 20 yet. So I will go and negotiate with them because I can't stand any more harm done to my people. The king said,“ I will go there personally. No more discussion on this matter. ” After that, he went to his room. I followed him there.

“ Papa, it can be really dangerous. They just want our land. After killing you they will get our state more easily. So you won't go there alone. I will go with you please. ”

“ No Ishani, you can't go there with me. You need to take care of people here. So they won't panic about not being me here. Their kingdom is kind of rough people. I don't want you to deal with them just yet. They really don't mind bloodshed at all. So they will get whatever they want at any cost. So please stay here. ”

“ Papa, you might need me more there and mamaa is here. She is the queen. People will listen to her more than me, who is just a princess. So please let me go with you, papa please. ”
