Third-person P.O.V
Felicia noticed the sudden change of expression on her sister’s face and looked at where her gaze was pointing towards. Her eyes fell on five handsome men who were wearing military uniforms and looked to be heading their way. “Ezerette, do you know these gentlemen?” Felicia politely asked as she saw the men glancing at Ezerette with a look of recognition.
Suddenly, fear wrapped around their eyes and they were quickly moving away from the small group. “Yeah, obviously I do. Damn right I do! Felicia, come with me! Mother, Mara, Sarah, can you please continue the shopping spree? I and sis have found someone that we haven’t met in a long time!”
Without waiting for a reply, Ezerette pulled her elder sister away with her body and eyes showing anger and disappointment. Felicia did not say anything, but she could guess who the mischiefs were just from her sight. They were the unit she was going to teach, and it was obvious they were skipping out. Felicia held her sister’s collar tightly stopping her in her tracks. “What?! Why are you stopping me?! We have to get them back to the camp!”
“Calm down Ezerette. You are too angry but think rationally right now. We know these markets and alleyways, so we can corner them.” Her little sister’s eyes twinkled and mischievousness was written all over her face. “Alright, my bad. Fine then you go from the front, and I’ll keep going the same way.” At that, they nodded and ran.
While Ezerette was speeding up and reaching the invisible parts of the mall, the older one was calmly approaching the other side, unknown to the boys who were just running without caring where they were going. “Yo, how the hell did she find us?! I was sure she was on duty today.” The other one, looking for a response, said quickly, “That devil, I completely forgot that she was taking off today. But why did she had to be here?”
“Hey, do you think she was out shopping? If so, then that must be her family. I remember seeing a tall girl. She looked frail, so maybe we can negotiate with her. There should be an exit right there. I think she was going into the coffee shop on the third floor.”
“Oh? May I ask who you were going to hold hostage again? It couldn’t have been me, could it?” and there she was, with a smile plastered on her face, and hands behind her back. The guys whistled and slowly approached her. “Yes, so would you mind? I don’t give a s**t about what will happen to you, but I don’t want that devil to catch us, so help us just this once, okay?” and with that, they had surrounded her.
“Hey, you brats! How dare you g**g up on my sister?! Do you know what you are doing is equivalent to suicide?!” Suddenly, Ezerette was squeezing one of the boy’s ears, which Felicia guessed to be the leader. “Hey, you’re embarrassing me here! Besides, I’m older than you, so how do you even have the right to call me a brat!” He yelled at her making her loudly click her tongue. “If I say you are a brat, then you are one, any problem with that?!” She replied back, gripping his ear even more tightly. “Get lost! What do you want anyway?!”
This time, instead of getting even angrier, she was intimidated. Not because of the person in front of her, but rather behind him. “S-Sis, it’s okay. I-I’m sure he didn’t mean it. He probably just said it in a fit of anger.” But it was too late. Felicia slowly walked up and grabbed the man’s shoulders, and squeezed. The man screamed in pain and the others looked on in shock as to what was happening.
A frail little girl was putting a big man to shame in terms of physical strength. “My sister kept warning you over, and over again, yet you disobeyed her and disrespected her. As your superior, I will make sure you receive thorough training in regards to discipline. That the importance of patience and abstinence is nothing less than being physically good. Now, apologize to Ezerette and please return back.”
The situation was very weird as the men looked at Felicia in amusement. “Just who are you?” One of the people managed to break the silence and ask cautiously. Felicia turned around and said loudly enough for them to hear, “Ezerette’s elder sister and your future instructor. A pleasure to meet you.” She took her hand out for the man to shake, but he immediately became cautious out of instinct. “P-pleasure to meet you too.”
The onlookers in the group gasped at their friend’s politeness. He was like a completely different person! “The name’s Nathan. Can I ask what’s yours?” Everyone was shocked by his behaviour, Even Ezerette was looking with her mouth hanging open. “Felicia. We’re outside, so I’m allowing such behaviour, but I hope you can be more polite when I see your group next time.”
Although the words themselves were harmless, they held authority. They demanded respect and held no place for contempt. They gulped. This person was downright scary! They had to tell others about this person before she would reach the place. “Well, I hope you can excuse us, we have to go.”
As soon as they were about to walk off, Felicia held Sam’s arm. “What guarantee do I have that you will be going straight back, and not somewhere for more fun? Ezerette,” she spoke, turning towards her sister “Let me go with them. I’ll check out the place and also get acquainted with my unit, all right?”
“Yeah sure, I don’t mind. Just make sure they don’t escape.”
“Don’t worry, that won’t be happening, right guys?” Her refinement was not to be messed with. It was like a layer that was preventing her from beating them up. “Now then, follow me, and don’t get lost, okay?” Every time she smiled it was like a weapon reminding them that she was not like others. She won’t hesitate to beat them, even in public. “Yeah sure Felicia, le---” he couldn’t finish as the younger one of the two sisters coughed, reminding of what she just said. “I-I mean, teach.”
They waited for a moment, being on their guards. After a while, when they noticed that she wasn’t moving, but was just smiling, they knew that she approved. They sighed slowly. Never in their life had they been so scared of a woman.
