Camila felt like she was rooted to the ground as she saw her older step-sister kiss the life out of her boyfriend, the man that she loved. She had no idea how to react. The shock was too much for her. It was almost like a huge hammer had been taken into her chest. She was struggling to breathe.
"Alex," she whispered. It was obvious that both of them could not hear her through the door and all, as they roamed their hands over their bodies and moved to the house.
"f**k, it hasn't been long, but I want to have you again." That was from Alex, and the words came with another blow to Camila. Her airflow had been restricted. Alex wasn't one for excessive s*x. At least, that was what she thought. They had s*x, but they could stay one month or two without seeing each other, and he would be okay. Camila was not a s*x addict herself, so it wasn't a problem for her at all.
"I missed Alex. Thank God you didn't have anything planned with Camila. She has a way of ruining all our plans," Jessica said. Camila began to wonder how long it had been going on then. Jessica might have known Alex for a while, running in the same circles and all, but to Camila's knowledge, Jessica had met Alex around six months into her relationship when she took him to her parents. She made it clear to her boyfriend, even before then, how much she didn't like her sister. The rivalry and all they had in all the years, up until now, that they were both adults. What even made them like each other?
Camila couldn't even think properly.
They both rushed into the house and started taking both their clothes off. It was almost like she was forced into an adult movie. They hadn't noticed that she was there. Camila was too shocked in the first few seconds to say a word. She was just glaring at them as hard as she could. They looked thirsty for each other.
She was only able to snap out of the shock when Alex began to take off Jessica's bra. It became more real then.
"Stop!" Camila shouted, and they both immediately turned in her direction. She was shaking. She wanted to fall down and cry as her heart felt like it was breaking, but she couldn't. She didn't have the strength to cry.
"Stop it!" She screamed again. They both looked at her in shock, and then she saw varying expressions pass through their faces. First, it was remorse from Alex, and then shame. Finally, it was something that she couldn't name. The expression mirrored what was on Jessica's face, almost like smugness. It felt like Alex was telling her that she deserved this. Camila did not deserve this. She did not deserve the pain of seeing the man that she loved with her sister.
"Camila. What are you doing here?" Alex asked. His voice was shaking. She definitely managed to surprise him.
"What do you mean. What am I doing here? What are you doing here with my sister?" She asked and then shook her head. Camila did not want to hear the answer to that. She did not want to hear the excuses that she would come up with.
"It's not what you think. I can explain," Alex said and ran his hand through his midnight black hair. A habit that always came out when he was nervous. Camila was seething. She didn't trust herself not to launch herself at Jessica and grab at her hair until her hands were filled with golden locks.
Camila wouldn't, though. She would never stoop so low as to involve herself in physical violence with her sister. That would be letting Jessica win. Camila would never allow it.
Camila shook her head. She wasn't listening to whatever he had to say.
"I am leaving. Happy Anniversary," Camila said. She was still shaking and trying her very best not to burst into tears. She was trying to control herself so that she would start fighting those who made her feel so pained. That was not how she rolled. She gave back in equal measure. There were no halves with Camila Anderson.
"I am sorry, Camila." On hearing Alex's voice, she turned back. His eyes looked almost pleading. Maybe he was sorry, but that wasn't enough. It was never enough. Her sister still looked smug, but that was not the only expression on her face. She also looked shaken and surprised. It occurred to Camila then that they were expecting something else from her. Maybe it was to cry or to scream or to break up with Alex. Camila planned to do that. From the moment she stepped into the house and she saw that entire mess, there were no two ways about it. She knew that the relationship was already over, but the looks on their faces like they were expecting a breakup, it didn't sit well with her. Just because they wanted it, she wouldn't break up with Alex, at least not yet. That would be letting Jessica win, and if there was one thing that Camila didn't do, it was to let Jessica win.
Camila nodded at Alex and gave him a tight smile, not the words that he wanted, definitely not those words.
"Such a cold b***h," Jessica said as Camila walked out of the house. Camila shook her head. She would show them cold, and she would make them freeze. As they said, one good turn deserves another. One bad turn definitely deserved an answer.
