4. OF PLOTS AND PLANS "Are you ready to tell us now?" Ava asked. Camila was seated right beside her as they all had dinner together. "Nothing is wrong, I am fine," Camila said. She wasn't usually one to keep secrets from her friends, but at the moment, she wasn't ready to share yet. The pain of seeing her boyfriend with her step sister was still fresh in her memory. She was still trying and very hard to get rid of it. "You can not just keep it to yourself, Camila. We are friends. There is no way that we would believe nothing is wrong. You came back from Alex's house the same day you left, and you have been moody ever since," Brielle said, and Camila sighed. The disadvantage of living with your friends, you couldn't hide anything from them. Not that she really wanted to. She just wanted the time to deal with it alone, and she got it. It was best at this point to just let her friends know. "Brielle is right. What did the bastard do so that we can go on beat the he'll out of him?" Ava asked, and Camila covered her face with her hands and groaned out of embarrassment. How was she to deal with this? It was really so embarrassing. She realized then that she had been keeping it to herself because she was so embarrassed. There is absolutely nothing to embarrassed about, or ashamed of, Camila assured herself before she cleared her throat, and then she started from the very beginning. "You caught him kissing your sister?" Brielle screeched. Camila resisted the urge to close her eyes. "And on your anniversary?" Ava contributed, her tone as high as Brielle's. Camila looked at both her friends and nodded. That day after she came home, she sat down and thought of everything, but she didn't cry. She was hurt and pained, and it felt like a lot of daggers were pushing into her chest, but she convinced herself that she was fine, so she hadn't cried since then. "He is bastard, a real one. He is definitely going to pay for this." This was from Ava. Her eyes looked sinister, and knowing Ava, she was probably thinking of the various ways that she could make Alex suffer. Camila approved greatly. "I would never have imagined that he had it in him to cheat. Alex, he always seemed so calm," Brielle said and tingering, feeling overcame Camila. It was just like she felt previously. He didn't seem like the type to cheat either to her. Had she been so blind to all his faults? He fooled them all, it seemed. Or maybe, just maybe, it was her fault. Camila killed the thought even before it surfaced. It wasn't her fault. It couldn't be. He was sleeping with her sister all the while being with her. Alex was the scum and he needed to pay. "It is always the quiet ones, Brielle. They are always the deadliest. He fooled all of us and our poor Camila most of all. He has to pay for what he did. I never trusted his sly smile. People like that always have something up their sleeves." Camila nodded at Ava. She felt sorry for herself for falling for all of his lies. The picture of Alex passionately kissing Jessica came to her mind closed her eyes in pain. It still hurt. "It is okay, Camila, don't blame yourself, it will all be fine," Brielle said and hugged Camila tight. From the day that she caught them together, she was unable to bring herself to cry, but there and then, in the arms of her friend, she felt her eyes begin to water. She was truly pained. "It is okay to cry, Camila," Brielle said, rubbing her back. The tears came hard and fast then. "I am going to make him pay for making me cry this way," she sobbed, and Ava came over and rubbed her back. "You never cry, Camila. We are all going to make him pay together. Whatever you want to do, we are going to be by your side. We are best friends forever," Ava said, and Camila smiled through the tears. "It just had to be with Jessica and no one else. There are so many women in the world. Why was it my step sister that I positively loathe? It is almost like he was trying to hurt me on purpose." "All the reason why you should make him pay. He shouldn't be able to go scot-free just like that." Camila loved the way Ava thought just like her. Camila's plan came to her mind. She shuddered at how odd it might sound to her friends. That was the reason why she hadn't shared it with anyone. She was sure that they wouldn't get it. Was she going too far? She frankly didn't care. She wanted both Jessica and Alex to pay, especially Alex. She could deal with Jessica later. Her sister seemed to have forgotten that she held several cards against her. Camila let go of Brielle, who looked at her oddly. She was sure she had a strange look in her eye. She cleaned her eyes, and she sat down comfortably on her chair. "I have a plan," she said, and both her friends stared at her intently.
