Mia and Sophie headed to their locker as the number was located in the corner of the timetable sheet. She opened hers placed the books from her bag inside while grabbing the ones she needed. She looked down the hallway, it was plain with yellow lockers, the doors to the classroom was blue; some had locks and some did not. Closing her locker, she waited for Sophie to finish organise her's. There first-class was History; Mia admired history, she loved learning about the past and seeing it a different person point of view. She glanced at Sophie and finally decided to ask, "Why were you glaring at the boy in the school office?" Shutting her locker, Sophie's dark brown eyes peered up at Mia. She flicked her long wavy black hair to the back of her shoulder. "I could read his thoughts; he thought I was weird and cute. I hate thinking I'm cute, much less weird." Mia leaned against the lockers, feeling her mouth drop at her sister's confession. She wanted to smack some sense into her sister. That is why her sister glared at the boy because of what he thought. If anything she thought her sister would have been grateful. Being thought as weird isn't a bad thing. "Maybe he likes you, most guys find some girls cute." Mia held her breath before looking at her sister and pleaded, "Please don't start a fight." Her sister glanced at Mia and slowly shook her head, "Don't worry Mia, I won't do anything. I'm just not used to these situations; I hate being in a new place." "I'm not either Sophie, I'm never okay in these situations!" she explained, feeling rather irritated at her sister's statement. The bell rung, signalling that the first period was just starting. Soon the hall was filled with students heading into the classrooms. Mia bit her lip as she entered the classroom, taking the desk that was seated in the second row and next to the window. Her eyes drifted towards Sophie, who sat next to her. She shuffled through her bag, grabbing out her pencils and books. She peered over to Sophie who was putting in her headphones. Mia's eyes glanced around the room; posters we're everywhere along walls, not to mention a giant blackboard in the middle of the room. Soon enough the classroom was packed with students and the teacher following swiftly behind. The teacher wore a brown suit with a yellow shirt and an ugly brown/yellow tie and business shoes; he even carried a leather brown briefcase that he placed on his table and began pulling out sheets of paper. He clapped his hands together and began writing on the clipboard. "Welcome back class, I hope you've had a nice school break. As you know I am Mr Kinley, but we've got two new students. Please welcome Mia and Sophie Smith." Mr Kinley said. Mia felt an unfamiliar feeling wash over her - which made her shiver; the feeling was vile and frightening. She took a deep breath to calm down, feeling her sister's hand rub her palm. She could feel his emotions and they weren't good emotions either; they were s****l and disoriented. "Sophie Smith, can you please remove your headphones, I don't allow them in my lesson," Mr Kinley asked as his eyes fixed on Sophie. He noticed the pink cord that was connecting to her phone. Sophie stiffened, what? No, she couldn't. "Sir, I prefer not too." "It's the rules, Miss. Smith. Please, I don't want to have you sit out of the lesson on your first day," Mr Kinley tried once again. Sophie gulped and took out her headphones, placing them in her pocket before whimpering softly. So many voices. Her sister could hear people's thoughts, she hasn't quite got it under control yet and hates it. It screws her up, that's why it was hard for her to move. At her old school, she knew everyone and knew how to control it there. But these people are all new, and she's got to start all over again. Mia leaned over and gently rubbed her sister's back, wishing she could be closer to her sister right there. Sophie bit her lip so hard that it could burst at any moment. Throughout the lesson, she was listening to Mr Kinley and writing down her notes. She was silent and kept to herself while her sister was having a hard time concentrating on the lesson. ~^~ History lesson had finished, and the students were heading to their next class. She slowly collected her books and placed them one by one in her school bag. As soon as the bell rang, Sophie ran out like there was no tomorrow. Mia did an abrupt look around to see her sister's lime water bottle sitting on the edge. Mia reached over towards Sophie's bottle, grabbing it, and placing it in her bag; she zipped it up and began heading towards the door. "Mia, may I speak with you?" Mr Kinley called. She stared at him, feeling her heartbeat quicken. The room was spinning. “Sure," she squeaked out. Why did he want to speak with her? Mr Kinley smirked and reached his hand up, touching her arm making her gasp. What was wrong with him? She slowly backed away from him, gulping. She didn't like this at all. Mia went to turn and open the door, but his arm was pulling her back, making her cry out. Letting out a slightly painful groan as her back hit the blackboard behind her. Mr Kinley smirked as he blocked her in, his hands either side of her head and his legs either side of her legs. "What do you want?" Mia asked. she wanted out of this situation but the class was empty. She wanted to scream, but her body was fighting against her, just like at home. She trembled a little, trying to get out of his hold but he was much stronger then she was. "You can't go, not just yet," Mr Kinley replied. She took a deep breath and closed icy blue eyes, but her thoughts were in interrupted when the door opened and there stood the boy from the principal's office. "W-William," Mr Kinley stuttered and backed off from Mia. She ran forward and hid behind William a little; feeling tears spill from her eyes. She was shocked to see how Mr Kinley sort of bowed towards William. "You stay away from Mia, you got it?" William growled, his eyes switched between blue and a darker shade. Mr Kinley whimpered and looked down, "Yes." 'What the hell was that about? Was he afraid of a student? Why would he be afraid of William?' Mia thought to herself. This was really weird, she's never seen that before. A teacher afraid of a student? It confused her deeply, but right now she was so thankful that Mr Kinley was afraid of William. It made her feel a whole lot safer, William gently grabbed her forearm and escorted her out of the room. "Be careful of him, he tends to do that to very timid girls.." William explained. She shivered slightly hearing what William said, she was so shy and timid and that made her an easy target. "Are you okay though?" William mentioned at her silence. Mia looked up at William and shrugged, she didn't know what to say, she gently scratched her arms. "I should be okay, thank you." She was confmodern-days he knew she was in danger, she didn't yell or anything. "How? How did you know?" she inquired. "Well, I saw your sister enter chemistry without you and I saw your name on the student roll. I decided to come looking for you in case you got lost. I saw you through the window of Mr Kinley's classroom, and you looked scared" William clarified, he could sense the fear in her emotions. He knew she wasn't ready to know who he truly was, it seemed that she hasn't gotten her wolf abilities yet. Which confused William, as normal wolf children got to their transformation stage at the age of five. ~^~ Mia was in her art class, sitting next to a girl with blonde hair, named Liselle. They were currently drawing their first assignment for Art Class, Mrs Summers has given them the task to draw something that reflected them. Mrs Summers was around twenty-seven years old, she wore a black floral with jeans and black flats. Mia knew what to draw instantly, she sketched a picture of a modern day Cinderella cleaning the house in nothing but rags. As that's what she felt like at home a slave, she couldn't dress up or look pretty because Michael wouldn't allow it. It was no wonder she sometimes came behind in her subjects, she has so much work to do at home she would instantly fell asleep as soon as she was done. She had blended into the picture Rapunzel, she had her looking out of her tower waiting for the right person to help her anxiety. For her, Rapunzel symbolized her anxiety and feeling so isolated against the world, from Michael and her anxiety. Michael wasn't one to allow her to leave the house unless it was for him only. Liselle peered at Mia's drawing and was astonished as to how beautiful it was. Liselle had beautiful, curled blonde hair, her green eyes reminded her of the grass in her favourite field. She loosely wore the tie around her neck matching it with a leather jacket. "Wow, that drawing is amazing," Liselle remarked making her lookup. A small blush appeared on Mia's cheeks, and she peered at Liselle's drawing to see a rainbow in the sky. "A rainbow?" She asked quietly. She bit her lip hoping Liselle wouldn't be annoyed she asked. "Yeah, I find Rainbows happy and I'm always happy. What about yours? Cinderella and Rapunzel are two very sad girls until they find true love." Liselle immediately replied with a smile on her face. She didn't know what to say, "Well, at home I do all the chores and I feel as if I can never escape the constant hell of my anxiety" she clarified. Liselle rose her eyebrows as she heard Mia's explanation. She could actually see it, Liselle felt terrible about Mia and what she had just said. "Wow, that is deep. You've presented that really well in your drawing, can you teach me to draw like that?" She asked. Mia bit her lip and thought about it. Could this mean they were friends? No, they just met? "Sure, I'll be happy to help," she smiled. "Great, here is my number. You can text me the details and maybe we can hang out" Liselle grinned widely, passing Mia a piece of paper with her number. She smiled and grabbed the paper, placing it in her pocket. Throughout the class, Mia finished her drawing leaving them both black and shaded as that's what her mood felt most of the time. She looked around the room to see people still drawing, but Liselle was typing away on her phone. Wouldn't she get caught? She shrugged and slowly stood up handing the teacher her drawing, feeling her anxiety well up as she noticed everyone was looking at her. "She finishes early doesn't mean you all have to stare." Liselle piped up. "Maybe if you weren't concerned, you would be finished too." Mia swivelled around and couldn't believe Liselle was sticking up for her, no one has ever done that before even if that person has asked to hang out. "Thank you," she whispered to her new friend as she sat back down. Liselle shrugged and smiled towards Mia, "Don't thank me, I did it because I could see how uncomfortable that made you. Half of them aren't even drawing, so they have no room to judge you for finishing." the blonde girl smiled. The bell rung, signalling that school was over. Finally, she could go home. She packed her things and slung her school bag onto her back. She headed towards the school pick up zone where her sister was standing. Wait, why was she here instead of in drama? She couldn't be that fast. "Sophie?" She asked. Her sister whirled to see her, "Yes Mia," her voice sounded as if she was infuriated. She could feel it too, her sister's body was filled with so much hatred towards the school. "What are you doing out here? Have you been here since class?" She asked. Her sister groaned and rubbed her face, "Will you shut up! I was kicked out of class because I didn't take my headphones out! I hate it here!" her sister shouted. Her eyes widened and felt her heart racing, she's never heard her sister speak to her like that. She looked down and played with the gravel with her shoe before seeing Michael's car pull up. She got inside and shut the door behind her, placing her school bag in front of her. Sophie slammed the front passenger door shut.
