If only

253 Words
I was the one who you laughed with, but it seems time changed or I was the one who changed and didn't spend time with you. I am at your side when you cry, scared and my name is the one you called first, but now not even a single syllable of my name can utter. I heard a thousand questions and different stories from your day but now not even a single verb I have heard from you. The gap seems longer than the longest bridge in the world could. If only I could turn back the hand of time, then I would spend most of my time listening to your make-up stories. Unbothered to your grammar and white lies because your smile is purer than purified water. Body ache is nothing compared to the heartache of disappointment and unexpected turn of events that you thought adults would never do, but life is cruel at a young age. You see the side that every adult tries to fold for you to see the rainbow only. Hyperacusis is nothing more than the unheard voice you want to state, an opinion you want to share, a view you want to show and remind us as an adult that there is beauty in every pain. If only I could, then I would, but life isn't fantasy. A thing I could do for now is to make-up time for you. Hope you will give me a chance to fill those absences and make a memorable memory.
