Life could be cruel!
The morning time came, and the soft orange light peeked through the window onto Gemini's face. The room was silent except for the distant sound of chirping birds and the faint rustling of leaves outside. Gemini stirred in her sleep, and as she did, she used a hand to shield her eyes from the sun that had already made its appearance. As she opened her eyes, they slowly fluttered open, and she let out a groan as she felt sore all over. Suddenly, realizing how cold the air was hitting her upper body, she pulled the blanket up close to her chest. It didn't take long for the memories of last night to come rushing back - yesterday had been her wedding night. A shiver ran down her spine just thinking about it. Aiden was a beast in bed! Just as she turned to the other side, she found a man staring at her intently. His gaze was intense, and Gemini blushed scarlet as their eyes met. She murmured a good morning, but quickly pulled the sheet over her head shyly to avoid Aiden's gaze. "Morning wifey!" Aiden chuckled, moving closer toward the blushing Gemini. She felt his hand on her backside, and with a tug, she swooned slightly. "Don't forget I saw everything," he added teasingly. Gemini couldn't help but throw a glare at Aiden as she pulled off the bedsheet from her head. He had the most mischievous grin on his handsome face that always seemed to make her go weak in the knees. For a moment, Gemini was lost in his beautiful hazel eyes; she couldn't believe how lucky fate had given her such a handsome and sexy man. Then, tracing her eyes down to his bare chest brushing against hers, she couldn't resist running a hand over his broad chest. "You look so handsome," she whispered, looking up into his eyes again. "Don't forget you told me that yesterday on the aisle and the dance floor," Aiden said with a teasing smirk. Gemini glared at him again, about to remove her hand from his chest when Aiden held onto it, raising it to his lips and kissing it softly. A small smile played on Gemini's lips. He was so incredibly romantic. Ignoring his comment, Gemini eyed him, "Why are you awake? Don't you feel tired?" Auden grinned mischievously, "No wifey, we can have another round." Gemini was quick to pull her hand away, and her ears turned red. "I am serious." Although Gemini had said this, she couldn't bring herself to look into Aiden's eyes. Aiden shrugged nonchalantly, "I couldn't sleep well because of how loud your snores were." Gemini was shocked! She threw a fierce glare in Aiden's direction while he threw his head back in laughter. Quickly pulling the sheets up to her chest, she grabbed a pillow and began hitting Aiden while he continued to chuckle. "I don't snore, you asshole!" Gemini repeated her words as she hit her husband with the pillow. But just as she was about to hit him again, she gasped in shock at how the man suddenly straddled her, his eyes full of both lust and love. "Don't you dare!" Gemini said, thrashing to be set free. A chuckle escaped Aiden's lips, which was like music to Gemini. "Shh," Aiden said soothingly as he took her hands and placed them over her head. Slowly, Aiden bent down and nipped at her top lip, pulling it gently with his own. The words that Gemini had in her mouth vanished away. Then he moved to her lower lip and repeated the caress. Gemini's heart melted with love as she raised her head to hungrily devour her husband's lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss with every passing second. As they kissed, an overwhelming sense of passion overwhelmed both of them. They both knew that they belonged together, here, now, and always. Finally breaking the kiss, they looked deeply into each other's eyes, a shared feeling of love and contentment between them. "I love you," said Aiden softly, brushing a strand of hair away from Gemini's face. "I love you too," Gemini replied, a smile on her face as she pulled him in for another kiss. Then they broke the kiss, and Aiden kissed the side of her lips before tracing his tongue from her ear down to her neck, and then finally down to her chest. Just as he was about to pull the sheets off Gemini's naked body, a phone rang and shattered the mood. Gemini felt Aiden tense and she frowned, watching him avoid her eyes suspiciously. "We said no phone calls until we're done giving each other the attention we need. You broke the rule, Aiden," she scolded gently. Aiden sighed before explaining himself. "I planned a surprise for you. I hate to say this…" he murmured, not wanting to ruin the surprise. Gemini's eyes widened in excitement as she asked eagerly, "Really!?" Aiden gave a little smile before rolling out of bed and moving over to the couch. He clicked his phone before tossing it back onto the couch and then made his way over to the little table at the center of the room. There, he poured coffee and added some milk - just as Gemini liked it. "Here, I ordered it since I knew you'd want some coffee," Aiden explained as he knelt beside her on the bed, placing his hands gently on it. Gemini smiled beautifully as she accepted the coffee, feeling grateful for her thoughtful husband. "Thanks, hubby," she said, feeling blessed to have such an amazing partner. Then another phone call came ringing again! She saw how the smile on Aiden's face vanished and she turned worried. Was everything alright? She could feel her heartbeat getting faster as she waited for him to tell her what was happening. Aiden turned in Gemini's direction and found her looking at him, he flashed a smile and then took the call. "Hello?... Okay, cool... Hope it's in a ribbon... Okay cool... Sure... You're welcome," he said to the person on the other end of the line. Gemini listened intently, trying to make sense of the conversation. Judging by Aiden's tone, it seemed like a delivery personnel was on the line. But this wasn't enough to dissipate the bad premonition arising in her heart. Taking one more sip from the coffee, she waited for him to speak first. "Baby, I got to go down," Aiden finally said, moving over to a top already spread on the couch. Gemini couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right. "Is that the reason why you look like something terrible had happened to you?" she asked, her voice quivering with emotion. "I'm sorry baby, the delivery guy spoilt my initial gift and he has been apologizing," Aiden explained, scratching the back of his head. "My mood turns awful when I have the thought that you and I wouldn't be pleased with any adjustment." Gemini looked away from him and let out a sigh. "It's alright, whatever you give me would be much cherished, Aiden," she conceded. "Sure!" Aiden grinned before slipping out of the room without giving her a goodbye kiss. Gemini lay back on the bed with a scoff and furrowed her brows in displeasure. How could he be so dumb not to kiss her before leaving? She was going to give him a lot of attitude once he returned, she promised herself. ~ ~ ~ Gemini woke up next when she heard a few shouts and commotions going on, on the down floor. Gemini Frowned and when it became louder to her that something was happening at the hotel, she sprang up. Looking at the wall clock, it read past 1 noon and Gemini panicked when she didn't see Aiden back in the room. "s**t!" she cursed under her breath. Quickly reaching for her phone on the table, she put off the airplane mode and tried to call Aiden's line but it was disconnected. Immediately, she made another call but it rang without an answer. The bad premonition which she had tried to subdue since morning began to grow more intense and intense. Panicking, she made her way across to a paper bag that had a few clothes, and picked up a pair of joggers and then a long sleeve shirt. She was about to button up the last one when she heard a loud scream rent the air. "No!" she shouted as soon as she heard the voice. It was so familiar that her blood turned cold. It was Aiden!
