Chapter 15

I and g*n Liu Hyun were pigging out our day. He, being a glutton, would eat then criticized me from time to time when he gots the chance.

"Hey, just a weird theory, is your husband perhaps bent?"

His question made me spit my tea right on his face.

"Yah! I know you're un-lady-like but this is already being crude and disgusting!" he scolded while pulling my robes and wiping it at his face, then look at me with a do-I-look-like-a-flower-that-needs-water-look.

"It's because of you saying random nonsensical things!" Pulling out a handkerchief and wipe my lips. Then continued my afternoon tea.

His eyes turning circles," Do I look like an i***t!? If it's nonsense why did you react?"

I was about to answer his query when we heard a footstep and heard the servants greeting, "Good afternoon, Master."

We're panicking about how we should act. Pointing and doing different scenes.

He was running around like a headless chicken.

"What should we do?" we both whispered.

No time to lose, I hurriedly pulled him that his face clashed on the table before landing on my lap! I hurriedly pick up the book and pushed it onto his face.

"Are you trying to kill me?" he angrily whispered. But I just widen my eyes to shut him up.

"My lady, the master is here," announced one of the maids.

"Ahem, let him in," I commanded while playing with g*n Liu Hyun's hair.

His face knotted and look at me in anger. While I smiled smugly.

"Oh General, what brings you here? Oh right, is it okay for me to let my LOVER stay in your household for a while?"

I gently look at g*n Liu Hyun who is pretending to read a book. But my eyes turned into a circle. The book being read was upside-down!

I secretly pulled his hair to signal him that the book he is reading is upside-down. But the fool cannot decipher the signal. And could only secretly pull also my long hair. Then send a warning gaze but I also returned it with a the-book-stare.

Our staring contest started while I tried to signal him. The-book-i***t-the-book!!-stare.

"Ahem," the general interrupted our little staring game. "This general shall not give in into your request. Until you have given me any good argument as to why I need to let him stay?!," his tone showed he was pissed.

But he cannot easily lash it out on me because I am carrying his child. Which is also bad for the baby, as I heard from the mortals.

"A good argument then is this passable, you and I are unrelated. Our relationship as husband and wife is long gone. You dragged me in here against my will separating me from my lover. Then, had an intention of controlling my life since I am carrying your child. While you and Kang Zue are having a good time and he is freely staying in the household so why can I also not at least have my lover beside me?"

Gun Liu Hyun's hand was trembling in shock. While the General look at me hatefully.

"Then I bid you farewell," he coldly said," Ah Daren your book is upside-down."

"Don't worry he has a unique style of reading," I simply implied while secretly pulling g*n Liu Hyun's hair. And giving him a that's-what-I've-been-telling-you-look!

After he left, g*n Liu Hyun gave me a lot of curses. Which made I and him pull each other's hairs.

"Fool! A simple signal and you can't even understand it. Is your brain made of dog poop!"

"You're the one to talk! You can't even give a proper signal. Your fat legs made me had a stiff neck! Your saliva is raining down on me!"

"Ha! Your hair is greasy! I could still feel it from my hands!"

Our bickering never ended.

It was already a week and I am glad the hateful General only came twice which made me and g*n Liu Hyun dance in happiness, especially him. Since we didn't have to act lovey-dovey in front of him. Especially that after our act, g*n Liu Hyun would look at me and act like he was disgusted, like he was the only one disgusted! And I nearly drove him out with a sword!

After g*n Liu Hyun knew the identity crisis of the hateful General. He laughed his a*s off and pointed at me while saying,"With your face compared to that Kang Zue, of course, I would also bend just to be with such great beauty! He made the right choice!" And with his confession, I beat him black and blue.

It was already night and I kept tossing from my bed, unable to sleep. I can no longer continue such act. I stood up and went for a walk, holding only a lamp to light my way.

I didn't know why but my feet lead me to the maple tree garden. It was quite beautiful now, under the bright rays of the moon it made their leaves look flame red and thus, it is how the tree got its name as a Fire Tree.

I was humming while rubbing my belly. As if letting the child inside me know that I love him/her to bits.

However, a grunt surprised me, I followed it and found the drunken General sitting under one of the Fire Trees while bottles of wine scattered around him. He was looking up at the moon and was muttering a curse.

"Curse you God of Fate."

I turned to leave however when he heard of my small movement, he abruptly used his qi to pull me to him. Afraid the baby would be hurt, I put a barrier on my belly.

I felt a small thud, then a scent of peppermint, maple and wine invaded my senses.

"Chu Qie," he said like he was surprised," this wine made me hallucinate. Damn, why can't you leave me alone! Even in my dreams and waking hours your appearing!" he suddenly pulled me into a tight embrace which surprised me. So I tried to leave his embrace. Until I felt my shoulder wet!

"You! Why do you have to smile and show me your love when I treat you so badly to stop you from rubbing your affection all over me? Because I know you deserve much better! Are you a fool? Why can't you decipher the signal I am transmitting! I don't need your love!" he stared at me his eyes were in tears while he caresses my cheek. .

"When you lost your memories, you changed a lot. You showed me a different side of you. Which made me even curious and I know it is a bad idea to get involved with you. However as you kept on saying divorce, I had the urge not to let you go and tease you more," he tucked my hair in my ears.

" Whenever you smile and happily converse with others while you look at me with disdain. I felt like I am suffocating and I wanted to throw away those people away. Then in that cave, I wanted you not to remember, not to remember the past things I have done to you. And when something happened to us and I also realized one thing, I've been so drawn to you that I can no longer unattached myself. When you were gone and you left a message. It made my heart felt so suffocated I cannot breath! Then when I saw you and you just turn your back on me, I became suddenly angry that I want to punish you! When I saw you being with other deities, I want to lock you up so that you can only see me!"

He freed me then leaned on the tree while I am sitting on his lap. His arms were covering his eyes.

He looks at me, his expression was like a lost child unable to decipher what he wants and needs.

While I am gaping in shock. I felt that my jaw has already reached my ankle due to this sudden confession of his side!
