The tale of Chu Qie

Chapter 8

Hearing such reply I froze but then I smiled sweetly enough to blind his eyes.

"Prince is such a charmer," I walk to him then secretly pulled out a bitter gourd in my space ring.

Gun Liuyun and General were rushing to find Chu Qie.

"We have to save her, I heard that my brother would pluck the flower of every lady he would pick in the consort picking then threw them away!"

Reaching the room the General struck his palm forming a frightening turbulence of qi. And smashing the door open.

"Mistress---" the three fell flat on the floor when they saw such a scene.

"How does it taste? I'll tell you I am already a chewed vegetable, not a meat! Since you said you would willingly chew on a chewed vegetable, of course, I would let you experience it. This goddess is kind-hearted la," I trapped the prince and his retainers while pushing a slice of bitter gourd in his mouth.

I felt three pairs of eyes strangely looking at me.

I stopped feeding the bratty prince,"g*n Liuyun is he your brother? He said he would make me his wife. And would willingly even take a chewed meat. But I tell you la I, Chu Qie, am not a meat I am a vegetable! A bitter gourd!"

"g*n Liuyun do you know this crazy shrimp?!," the first prince asks then spat the bitter gourd. Smiling proudly I walk to him and stuck out my tongue.

"Feel the wrath of a goddess who is single by heart!" I laughed evilly but the general covered my mouth and I started writing free.

"Hehe yeah, it seems she got lost," g*n Liuyun said. "Haha. Well, then we bid farewell!"

"g*n Liuyun untie me!!"

We left the chamber of the first prince and ignored his commands.

"Wow, I didn't know you can handle my monster like brother. Goddess I am a fan, please teach me your ways," the wriggling Gu Liuyun implied while hugging my waist and San'er was pulling his leg to separate him and me.

"Ahem!," a cough caught our attention and it was the glaring general.

"Let's leave, now that we have sent the second prince home."

He started walking away.

"Lady Qie when you fell from the yellow river you must have forgotten everything right?"

This statement did not only froze me but also the general.

"En, en, en," I nodded three times.

"I guess that is also the effect of the water from the yellow river."

"But your highness seems unaffected by that effect," implied San'er trying to join in the conversation.

"Actually that is one of the perks of being a son of the water god," he bragged which made me shook my head. Will he ever live without bragging?

"Anyway, there is a rare rock cave near the coral forest. Inside is a big maze however beyond those paths lies the Huáijiù water. Anyone who would want to at least remember the past memories with their loved ones would dare to drink it."

"San'er I need that!"

"Mistress doesn't need that!"

We both said at the same time.

"San'er why are you opposing me? I wanna remember!," Crossing my arms and I turned my back on her.

"Mistress this is for your own..."

"No, I know what's for my own good. So don't dare stand on me!"

"If Mistress wants it then don't blame me! I hate Mistress!," she also angrily recorded and crossed her arms.

"Now, now, don't fight," g*n Liuyun tried appeasing us.

"Tell that to her!" we both implied then look at each other and angrily look away.

"Women can really make small arguments bigger," I heard g*n Liuyun whispered to the general.

In our whole trip the atmosphere was full of sparks coming from me and San'er. However, sometimes I would wonder why San'er would also glare so viciously at the general? What really happened?

Reaching the coral forest we move on our path to the maze rock cave.

"g*n Liuyun, are you really sure there is such magical water?," I questioned fearing there would be actually none.

"Well... We'll just hit your head so that you will remember," he goofed said which made me threw a pebble at him.

He writhed in pain as he glared at me.

"Aiyo, I was only joking! Of course, there is, trust me."

I looked at him strangely and stop on my tracks for a moment.

"Eh. Is something wrong?"

"N-Nothing," I smiled while followed his track. He really seems reliable. Unconsciously I smiled at his behavior.

San'er looks at the two figures before her and caught her mistress idiotically smiled for a moment.

"Look there stupid master, look clearly at how they suit each other. They neither dominate or lessen the presence of one. Instead, they compliment each other."

She uttered unbeknownst to the deity beside her is looking intently at the two and felt discontent, uncomfortable and a strange anger rising in his chest.

I look strangely at the cave's entrance. It was so strange because it was like the face of an old man.And we are going to enter his nose.

"Are you sure this is the cave and also the entrance. It looks like we're going inside an old geezers body?"

"Haha of course."

He first entered the cave followed by general than me and San'er. It was pitch black that before they could light up a light. San'er and I tripped knocking the two in front of us.

I felt the rocks in the cave was quite smooth and slippery. I clutch onto g*n Liuyun and we slid down. I can only hear the small squeal of San'er going smaller and smaller. When we finally stopped I lifted my body and look around.

Wow, pitch black! Why did I even try to look around?

"g*n Liuyun hurry and take out a pearl!," I urged him. However, he was so unlikely quiet.

"Did you hit your head? Are you alright?"

Whispering I heard a soft clatter which made me nervous.

Finally, he took out a pearl and it glowed, lighting the dark place. However, I was surprised when it was the general I bump into.

"You're heavy," he breathed which made me aware of our position I was sitting on top of him.

Me? Heavy? This goddess is indeed heavy but you have to slap it in my face.

Weight is a sensitive topic to every goddess!

I angry lifted my bottom then sat at his guts with a stronger pressure. And I can even hear him yelp. I know I have crushed his intestines and stomach.

I stood up and ignored him as I scan the place.

"It seems we are separated from the two. And there are two paths in front of us. I guess I'll go right and you'll go left."

I pick the pearl in his hands because I knew he has an extra.

"Tss, what if you meet a dangerous creature. Let's go together," he implied while snatching the pearl again from me.

"In my book, there is no "we" or "together" if it is you. And if I meet a danger wouldn't the process of you being a widow be faster!" I snatched the pearl again.

We played the whole game until the pearl slip in my hand and it went rolling on the left path. I followed the pearl and it rolled to fast like a marble since the floor is quite smooth like a jade.

The pearl finally stops and I bent down to pick it when a bone beside it made startled me making me yelp.

"Are you alright?," a voice asked me and I know it was general.

"Yeah, just frightened by a skeleton," I replied. I examined the skeleton. Flicking my finger like before the skeleton had a flesh and clothes. It was a body of a lady whose neck is bitten into half her expression was painted by fear. I jump and hid behind him. While the body returned from being a skeleton.

"There is something crawling in this cave and it isn't a good news for us," I said while like a scared cat I clung to his arms and carefully scanned the place.
