Chapter 26“What’s this all about then?” Razz asked Javi, as he and Stanten arrived in a large chamber Arien’s war council had been holding their meetings in. Javi had been surprised to receive a summons to attend the council, but assumed they wanted to ask him for some information about the Ixellans. When Razz and Stanten had shown up too, he gave himself up to bafflement. The long conference table that usually dominated the room had been removed, and everyone was milling about and talking close in little knots of people, then splitting apart and going to mutter some more to different groups.
“Cloak and dagger bullshit?” Javi said in answer to Razz, with a slight smile.
