Love Hate Sport
In the vibrant neighborhood of Maple Grove, there lived a girl named Lovely. Her name perfectly suited her, for she was indeed a lovely person, both in appearance and in spirit. She had a cheerful demeanor that lit up the surroundings wherever she went. Among her friends, one stood out prominently, a boy named Aman.
Lovely and Aman had been inseparable since childhood. From building sandcastles in the park to climbing trees in the backyard, they shared every joy and every sorrow. Lovely was particularly fond of sports, and as they grew older, she discovered her passion for gymnastics. Aman was her constant supporter, cheering her on from the sidelines, his eyes filled with pride.
As Lovely honed her skills, she became one of the best gymnasts in the town. Her graceful moves and impeccable balance were the talk of Maple Grove. But amidst her athletic pursuits, there was a subtle change in Lovely’s world. In the 9th standard, she fell in love with a boy named Anshu.
It was during one of the annual function rehearsals that Lovely caught Anshu’s eye. She was practicing a dance routine, her movements fluid and captivating. Anshu, who was rehearsing for a skit, couldn’t help but be impressed by her grace and agility. After the practice, he approached her, striking up a conversation that would change both their lives.
From that day on, Lovely and Anshu spent more time together. They would wait for each other in the auditorium after their respective practices, talking about everything and nothing. Slowly, their friendship blossomed into something more, and they started dating.
However, there was someone who wasn’t pleased about this new development – Aman. He had always been there for Lovely, through thick and thin, and he couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease about Anshu. He voiced his concerns to Lovely, urging her to be cautious around him, but Lovely was too deeply in love to heed his warnings.
Despite Aman’s reservations, Lovely continued to spend more time with Anshu, leaving less room for her friendship with Aman. This created a growing rift between the two friends, something that Aman found hard to accept. He didn’t trust Anshu, sensing something off about him, but Lovely refused to see it.
Anshu, aware of Aman’s disapproval, wanted him out of the picture. He began to plant seeds of doubt in Lovely’s mind about Aman, painting him in a negative light. One day, during a heated argument, Anshu said something hurtful about Aman, pushing him to his breaking point. In a fit of anger, Aman slapped Anshu, a move that would change everything.
Lovely witnessed the altercation, her heart sinking at the sight. She couldn’t bear to see her two closest friends at odds with each other. In that moment, she made a decision – she chose Anshu over Aman, breaking her bond of friendship with the boy who had been her constant companion.
Time passed, and Lovely and Anshu grew closer, their love seemingly unshakeable. But fate had other plans in store for Lovely. One day, while practicing her gymnastics routine, tragedy struck. She landed badly on her right leg, the impact shattering both bones. Rushed to the hospital, she underwent emergency surgery, her future uncertain.
Throughout her ordeal, Aman stood by her side, his unwavering support a beacon of light in her darkest hours. He visited her every day, bringing her favorite snacks and reading to her to pass the time. But Anshu was nowhere to be seen. He didn’t even bother to call or check on her.
Feeling abandoned and betrayed, Lovely reached out to Anshu, hoping for some comfort. But instead of reassurance, she received a cold response. Anshu told her that he couldn’t handle the burden of their relationship anymore, leaving Lovely shattered and alone.
It was in that moment of despair that Lovely realized the true worth of friendship. Aman, who had been pushed aside for the sake of love, was the one who remained by her side when she needed him the most. He showed her that true friendship was not about grand gestures or empty promises, but about being there for each other, no matter what.
As Lovely recovered from her injury, she found solace in Aman’s presence. They rekindled their friendship, stronger than ever before. And although the scars of her broken heart would always remain, Lovely knew that she was blessed to have a friend like Aman in her life.
In the end, it wasn’t the love that she lost that mattered, but the friendship that endured. And in the quiet streets of Maple Grove, amidst the laughter and the tears, Lovely and Aman proved that the bonds of friendship were indeed unbreakable.
