As they climbed into the limousine, Olivia couldn't help but feel nervous. She didn't know what to say to this man who was now her husband. "So, where are we going?" she asked, trying to break the awkward silence. "We're going to my penthouse. It's where we'll be staying for the next few weeks," Alexander replied, his voice cool and distant. Olivia felt a knot form in her stomach. She didn't know if she was ready for this. "And then what?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Alexander leaned back in his seat, his eyes fixed on her. "And then we'll begin our life together," he said, his tone final. "But what about my family?" Olivia asked, her voice trembling. "Will they be okay?" Alexander gave a cold laugh. "Your family? They're nothing but a bunch of losers. You're the only one with any real value in that family." Olivia felt a surge of anger rise within her. How dare he speak about her family like that! But she knew she had to stay calm. "What do you mean?" she asked, trying to keep her voice even. Alexander leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with a predatory light. "I mean that I only married you to flaunt your beauty in executive meetings and to further ridicule your family. They're already in debt to me, and now they owe me even more. You're just a pawn in my bigger game, Olivia." Olivia felt a chill run down her spine as Alexander's hand brushed against her arm. She pulled away, repulsed by his touch. "Don't touch me," she spat. Alexander's smile widened. "Don't be like that, my dear. You know that your beauty is a valuable asset to me." Olivia felt sick to her stomach. She had never felt so objectified in her life. "I'm not some object to be flaunted around," she said, her voice shaking. Alexander's expression turned cold. "You're my wife, Olivia. You'll do as I say." Olivia felt a fire ignite within her. She wouldn't be a pawn in his game any longer. "I won't be used by you anymore," she said, her voice firm. Alexander's face twisted with anger. "You'll do as you're told, or there will be consequences." Olivia felt a lump form in her throat. She had been so naive to think that Alexander had actually cared for her. She was nothing but a tool to him, a means to an end. "Why did you marry me if you didn't love me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Love?" Alexander sneered. "Love has nothing to do with it. I married you because you're beautiful and because you come from a wealthy family. You're the perfect trophy wife." Olivia felt tears prick at her eyes. She had made a terrible mistake by marrying him. But what could she do now? She was trapped in this loveless marriage, with no way out. As they pulled up to their new home, Olivia looked out at the sprawling mansion. It was grand and impressive, but it didn't feel like home. She stepped out of the car and followed Alexander inside, her heart heavy with despair. As she walked through the halls, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being a prisoner in her own life. She was trapped in this gilded cage, with no way out. What had she done? Just as she was about to break down in tears, Alexander turned to her. "Welcome home, my dear," he said, a sinister smile playing on his lips. Olivia felt a shiver run down her spine. What had she gotten herself into? Olivia spent her days in the house feeling isolated and alone. Alexander was always out, taking care of "business" he said, leaving her with nothing to do but wander aimlessly around the house. One day, out of boredom, Olivia decided to explore the house. She walked through the halls, taking in the luxurious decor and expensive artwork. But no matter where she went, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped. As she walked through the living room, she noticed a door that she had never seen before. Her curiosity piqued, she approached the door and tried the handle. To her surprise, it was unlocked. She cautiously pushed the door open and stepped inside. It was a small room, barely bigger than a closet, with a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling. Olivia's eyes widened as she took in the room's contents - it was filled with drugs, guns, and stacks of cash and papers. "What the hell?" she muttered to herself. Suddenly, she heard the front door open and Alexander's footsteps approaching. Panicked, she quickly closed the door and backed away, hoping he hadn't seen her. "Olivia, darling, are you here?" Alexander called out. Olivia took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. "Yes, I'm here," she called back, her voice shaking slightly. Alexander walked into the living room and gave her a smile. "I'm glad you're here," he said, walking towards her and placing his right hand on her breast while using his left hand to caress her body. Olivia tried to hide her fear. "What are you doing home so early?" she asked, trying to sound casual. "I finished up my business early," he said, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I missed you." "I need to talk to you," Olivia said, her voice shaking. "What is it?" Alexander asked, his eyes narrowing. "I know about your illegal activities," Olivia said, her voice barely above a whisper. Alexander's smile faded, and he looked at her with a mixture of surprise and anger. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "I've seen the files," Olivia said, her voice growing stronger. "I know what you're doing, and I won't let you drag me and our child down with you." Alexander stepped closer to her, his face twisted in anger. "You don't know what you're talking about," he growled. But Olivia didn't back down. "I know exactly what I'm talking about," she said, her eyes flashing. "And I won't let you hurt us anymore." Suddenly, there was a loud bang at the front door, and Olivia felt her heart skip a beat. Was it the police? Had they come to arrest Alexander? But before she could do anything, Alexander grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. "You're not going anywhere," he said, his voice low and menacing. Olivia tried to pull away, but he held her tightly. "Let me go!" she screamed. But Alexander didn't listen. He dragged her back towards the secret room where he kept his illegal goods. "You see, my dear," Alexander said, a cold smile on his lips. "You're in too deep now. You can't turn me in without incriminating yourself." Olivia felt the weight of the situation settle heavily on her shoulders. She was trapped, with no way out. As Alexander pushed her out of the door of the secret room, Olivia's mind raced with fear and confusion. "How could you do this to me?" she shouted at him. Alexander chuckled darkly. "You really didn't think I'd let you go, did you? You're far too valuable to me." Olivia's eyes widened in shock as she realized that Alexander had been manipulating her all along. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Alexander leaned in close, his breath hot on her face. "I mean that your little friend Jessica has been working for me all along. She's been feeding me information about you and your family." Olivia felt a wave of betrayal wash over her. Her best friend had been working with the man who was ruining her life. "How could she?" she asked, her voice trembling. "She's in it for the money," Alexander said with a shrug. "Just like you." Olivia shook her head in disbelief. She had never been in it for the money. She had only wanted to save her family from financial ruin. But now, it seemed like everything she had done had been for nothing. As Alexander led her out of the secret room, Olivia's mind raced with fear and desperation. She had to find a way out of this, but she didn't know how. She couldn't trust anyone, not even her best friend. Just then, she heard a sound behind her. She turned to see Jessica standing in the doorway, a cold smile on her lips. "I see you've figured it out," Jessica said. "I've been working for Alexander all along." Olivia felt a surge of anger rise within her. How could her best friend betray her like this? "Why?" she asked, her voice shaking with rage. Jessica shrugged. "Money talks, Olivia. You should know that." Olivia felt sick to her stomach as she realized that she had been played for a fool. Her best friend had sold her out for a few pieces of silver. As Jessica stepped towards her, Olivia took a step back, her heart racing with fear. She didn't know what Jessica was capable of, and she didn't want to find out. Just then, the door burst open and in walked Alexander's right-hand man, a menacing look on his face. "What's going on here?" he demanded. Jessica quickly composed herself and turned to face him. "Nothing," she said with a smile. "We were just talking." The man looked at Olivia suspiciously before nodding and walking back out of the room. Olivia felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had narrowly escaped a dangerous situation, but she knew that she couldn't let her guard down. She had to find a way out of this mess, and fast.
