A while later Willow's dad; George was talking to Willow's date; Victor with his arms on his shoulders. Victor felt intimidated, George's arms were muscular and his voice was huskier than it usually is. George was a big, brawny fellow which was a result of his love for going to the gym and he had long straight jet black hair with streaks of gray hair which added to making him look tough instead of old. "You look so pretty sis," Mia gave Willow a glance. "I bet you'll look prettier on your own prom." "That's if I'll make it to mine," a flash of sadness passed through Mia's eyes. "If you've made it this far there's hope so don't be a pessimist." Willow patted Mia's back,she gave a sudden smile "I shouldn't make things all about me I'm always looking for a pity party" She grinned, "Today's about you, when you're back I need all the deets, okay!" "It's time to go!" George interrupted. "Dad I said I'll drive, please!" "No sweetheart I'll just drop you guys off no big deal, c'mon.", Willow gave him a glare."I'm not asking you baby I'll just drop you guys and you call me when you're done," He grinned. "Mr Mc-McPherson, can I-I take a picture with Willow?" Victor stuttered,he was terrified of her dad and she considered it cute. "Yeah sure", she went close to him, and he put his arms on her waist. "Move away a little" her dad shifted them apart, then took the shot. Typical prom night, magical sweetness you taste rarely. Next will be summer break, then college, then life. This was the last time you are just an ordinary teenager with no real responsibility and it's wise to enjoy every part of it. Willow and Victor held hands as they walked down the road, she had already texted her dad to pick her up. She noticed his palm was sweaty probably because he was nervous. Victor was wiry with short curly ginger hair, brown eyes, and freckles on his cheeks and nose. "I really like you" He broke the awkward silence, Willow beamed and squeezed his hand a bit and looked down. "I like you too," she looked up at him and blushed, he lifted his hands to her face and she closed her eyes ready to finally get her first kiss it would be prefect and memorable. Instead she heard a screech and a yell from behind ruining their moment,she looked back and saw her dad coming. "Go, go!" she pushed Victor away from her, she held her gown up to enable her to walk rapidly to her father. Willow sat at the backseat of the car with her hands folded to her chest and her mouth pouted. She hadn't said a word since she got into the car. "At least you should come to the front seat," He looked back at her. "Why are you making such a big deal out of this?" "I finally had a moment and you ruined it" She frowned. "You deserve way better than that mouse",He chuckled. "Very funny dad" she said sarcastically, but Willow's dad kept on laughing provoking her even more. He turned back to look at her "You're so cute when you're angry." "Daaaaaaad!!" Willow shrieked, there was a truck right in front of them and Willow's dad had lost focus he tried steering and hitting the brakes but they were too close. Their car shifted slightly sideways and bumped into an electric pole rather than the truck. The wind screen was shattered and some of the glass has pierced Willow's body, her head and ears were bleeding. She gasped for air and stretched her hands to her dad and she felt his pulses. "Thank Goodness." She moaned in a low voice as the light faded and she withdrew from consciousness. When she became conscious there was siren, and blinking red and blue light her head ached, She close her eyes and when she opened them she was on a hospital bed. Her mom and Mia were sitting next to her. "Hey baby", Sarah whispered, she tried lifting herself up and felt pain everywhere which reminded her of the previous occurrence. "Where's dad?" She opened her eyes wide ready for any bad news. "Dad is fine, he hasn't woken up but the doctors said he'll wake up in any sec" Mia gave a reassuring smile. An hour later a nurse came to inform them that he was now conscious. She insisted on going to check on him too so she used a wheelchair. "Dad!!" Mia and Willow chorused, he blinked his eyes severally to get a clear vision. "My girls, it's my third car accident so there's nothing to worry about...Willow hope you're okay?" He burst into a soft laughter and they all looked puzzled at each other. "I'm sorry guys I just continued from where I stopped" they joined him in laughter as he rubbed his wife arm and gave her an assuring look. "And look you're on your first wheelchair" he looked at Willow and smiled. "Welcome to the club sis." Mia grinned. "Before I die I'll see your husbands at least" he exhaled. "Since I hate the smell of hospitals I'll just go outside to get some fresh air" Mia left the room. "Do you need anything darling?" their mom asked. "Yeah maybe some water," "Okay dear," Sarah also left the room. "I was worried about you baby" He whispered. "You were the one who was unconscious longer" "I was worried about you in my unconsciousness, I love you baby" "I love you too Dad" then he slowly shut his eyes. "He went back to sleep?" Sarah came in with a glass of water and handed it to Willow. "Mia is getting cold so we'll head back home" "Okay mom" Willow sipped from the glass. "Baby, I and Mia would be going home now" she shook his arm gently but he didn't move, "Darling?... baby? Can you hear me?" shaking him even faster. "What's wrong mom?" Her eyes widen with fear. "I don't know... NURSE! My husband isn't moving" She ran out of the room, the EKG started beeping, and it showed straight line. "Dad, dad Nooooo! you can't do this to us" Willow wailed, the doctor and nurses rushed in sending she and her mom out of the room. Willow got up from the wheelchair, her mom tried to stop her but she resisted, she barged into the emergency room. She watched the nurse cover her dad's face, she turned pale as she stood there dumbfounded. Everything froze for a while nothing made sense,it felt so unreal; impossible! One minute everything was fine and in another it was all shattered. Sometimes life could be so unfair.
