The General and The Actress

The president praised her, saying, "You are really good at this," and placed a hand on her head, adding, "Nice job." When she entered the bus, she fell into a deep sleep. The same boy entered the bus again and sat next to her. In her deep sleep, she rested her head on her arms. The boy looked at her face, then murmured to himself, "Why does this face look so familiar? Could we have met before?" He reached out and gently touched her eyes. "Why do you look so similar? Maybe it's just my imagination." Before she could arrive at her house, the boy left. A Confession and a Secret That night, she talked to Ardin. "I did so well at practice only because you were on my side. Thank you for helping me," she said. "You are my special one. Because of you, my life has real happiness. I was very lonely before, but now... I don't feel alone." Saying this, she cried hard. She confided that her parents never truly loved her, always being too busy with their work. "I never show that I feel alone, but with you, I am so happy. I feel something good in my heart. How should I thank God?" Ardin asked her, "Why are you suddenly crying?" It was then she realized that all those things she had just said, she had said only to herself. She quickly told Ardin, "Nothing. I was just happy. You helped build my confidence, and because of your help, the president praised me. How can I ever thank you?" Ardin replied, "There's no need. As long as you are happy, I am happy." They talked to each other the whole night. The Surprise Suddenly, her parents called her. "Tomorrow, we have a big surprise for you. Don't come home late," they said. Her mother came to her and hugged and kissed her on the head. Suyin became intensely emotional and cried a lot because this was only the second time her mother had ever done this. She was ecstatic and hugged her mother tightly. "Mother, is this real? I missed you so much! We live in the same house, but I miss your cooking and your love. I forgot the taste of your food." Tears fell heavily from her eyes. "Mother, I thought you no longer loved me! You know how many times I called 'Mama' when I was sick, but I got no reply. When I was scared, there was no one to hold me tight." Her mother also became emotional, but there was a different, hidden purpose in her eyes. She gave a mysterious smile and said, "I am so sorry, my child. I love you, I really do. I made a mistake." She hugged Suyin tightly. Her father, not usually affectionate, hugged her as well and placed a hand on her head. For the first time, Suyin felt like she belonged and was loved. The Boy Who Saves Her The next day, she got ready for the final practice at the university. As always, she entered the bus, but this time, an accident almost happened, and she quickly stepped out, sitting down at the bus station. She told the bus driver, "Don't tell anyone about this. I'll call you when I arrive at the university." She entered another bus, but it was incredibly crowded. She had never been on a bus like that before, and she felt faint. She became unconscious and began to fall, but at that moment, the boy came again and saved Suyin from falling. She fell into his arms. He held her tightly and wouldn't let go. When she recovered, she saw herself sitting in a chair on the bus. When she had fallen into his arms, she hadn't been able to see his face because he always wore a mask, but she felt a comforting warmth. The Shocking Truth She arrived at the university and went to the practice room. Everyone was waiting for her. "This is the last practice before the president sees the performance, so everybody, do your best," they were told. When the acting started, Suyin entered the character completely. The president was captivated by Suyin for the first time as he watched her perform on stage. Everyone in the room was mesmerized by her performance and applauded her enthusiastically. After practice, she entered the room, and her friend came over and said, "Don't forget that in the last moment, your character dies in the battle. Be sure to prepare for that. If you haven't, read this. Tomorrow is our performance." When Suyin heard that, she couldn't believe her ears. She ran quickly to the library and took out a book titled General Ardin. She started learning everything about him. She read every book related to him but discovered only one fact: Ardin died on the battlefield at a very young age. She went home and immediately entered her room, took the mirror, and hugged it tightly, crying loudly because she had fallen in love with Ardin. She couldn't eat and lay down on her bed, sobbing. This was a deep shock for her. A Love Across Time Then, suddenly, the mirror began to shine, as always, and Ardin called her name, "Suyin." He asked, "Suyin, where are you? What are you doing? Talk to me. Why can't I see your face? Listen to me." She picked up the mirror and tearfully told him everything. Longxia had told her not to say anything—that she couldn't change the future—but she couldn't hold it in any longer. "You die after you become General, you die on the battlefield!" she cried. "I lied to you. I'm actually a fairy. I saw the future and read this line: 'After becoming General, General Ardin died in the field when he was so young.'" While confessing this, she cried and finally told Ardin that she loved him. "I want to marry Ardin, but there's no time left! What can I do now? I'm so tired, I want to kill myself! I can't control my emotions. Why is my life so difficult? Why are there so many hurdles? The more I try to solve them, the more I get trapped in this path!" Ardin saw Suyin in such despair for the first time. "I know you are from the future and I am from the past. So, you mean I will never see you again?" He tried to control himself but couldn't and also confessed his love for her. "I want to marry you!" They talked all night, but Suyin was the one who cried continuously, while Ardin gave her the courage to bear the situation. Exhausted from crying, she finally fell into a deep sleep. The Performance The next day, she went for her performance. She was so sad that she felt physically unable to move, but Ardin's encouraging voice from the mirror helped her. She told herself, "I can't not do this. I'll record all my performances and show Ardin." (She didn't know that recording them was a huge mistake.) She gave an outstanding performance. After her character died, the red curtains fell on the stage. She collapsed to her knees and cried, her tears falling onto the stage. She wept until eight o'clock, when she finally lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
