EPISODE 13

Arlo slowly opened the door, he was horrified to see that Leilah was being choked by some creepy shadow-like-thing and she was almost losing consciousness.

Without wasting a single second, he sprang up to jump on that shadow. But the shadow vanished in thin air, before he could get any close to it.

Arlo was baffled.

What the hell! How? Why didn't I sense her being choked? Who was that? what was that?

Just then he snapped his head in Leilah's direction where she was gasping for air.

He felt his heart break in million pieces at the sight of her struggling like that. He also noticed that there were a few drops of blood which had oozed out due to the scratches on her neck.

"I'm here, Leilah. You are safe. I will keep you safe. You are fine, and you are strong. Just hold on a bit longer."

But her eyes shut and so he instantly lifted her and teleported to the witch's chamber.

This time the witch was in a decent robe, because Arlo had already informed her about his arrival. Her eyes widened at the sight of them.

"Oh my god! What happened to her?" She came forward.

"Some shadow like thing attacked her just now. Now hurry and check on her." He yelled.

She rushed to Leilah's side and checked on her hair and body. She instantly pulled out a tiny bag like thing from around her hair tie.

She then ran to her workstation and got a handful of blue water and put on that hair tie. The next moment, it developed black spots on it.

"Just as I thought." Witch said as she was eyeing the hair tie.

"What?" Arlo asked confused.

"Someone doesn't want you and Luna to be together. Someone wanted to harm her. You see the marks around her neck? Someone clearly tried to strangulate her. And since her inner powers haven't been activated yet, she is still in normal human form, defenceless. The power wanting to harm her was obviously stronger than her. In fact, any power is stronger than a normal powerless human." The witch said eyeing the body of Leilah's.

"Watch your mouth doctor. Don't let words slip off your mouth which can cause you nothing but trouble." Arlo glared at her.

"Forgive me, Alpha King, Arlo." The witch said getting or her knees.

He completely ignored her plea for forgiveness and asked, "So, how is it that I didn't sense her being in trouble?"

"That is because, the potion in this hair tie prevents feelings from being felt by mates. Someone must have secretly kept it in her room and she must have put it on And the moment she did, it started working and you stopped sensing her feelings and emotions. That is when she must have been attacked, so that you won't get to know about it and they could succeed." Witch replied.

"But how could anything enter this place? and why was it so fast? It was faster than me for all I know." Arlo asked confused.

"I'm not sure about that, but I feel that it must be a rogue using a witch's cloak. We use that to teleport. It appears to look like a shadow, when a wolf, specially if a rogue uses it." The witch explained.

"Whatever it was, it has just stepped on the bad side of me. It will pay for what it did. No one messes with my mate." He spoke gritting his teeth. His jaw clenched and eyes changed colour, ready to tackle down even the stronger than the strongest power for hurting his mate.

Watching him getting all angry the witch got on her feet and said, "I actually feel that Leilah might be a witch-"

Arlo cut her off and yelled,"What makes you think you could call your Luna by her name? Bold of you to assume a mere witch like has the right to call her Luna by her name?"

Witch's eyes got widened as she got on her knees and bowed. " I'm sorry Alpha King. I didn't notice I was calling my Luna by her name."

Arlo glared at her as he asked," What were you saying about your Luna being a witch?"

"I actually feel that my Luna might be a witch descendent. Like genetically a witch, where her strengths can only be activated if she has physical contact with her soulmate. I hope you understand the kind of physical contact I'm talking about." The witch said still bowing not looking at his eyes.

Arlo just nodded his head while the witch flushed.

"So you think that your Luna is a witch?"
