Chapter 16Sid feared he was gonna be sick. There was blood on the floor, a lot of blood. He didn’t think it was Jeb lying in the puddle. The shoes didn’t fit, and he wanted to believe he’d recognize Jeb in any state—even death. When Thorn’s fingers curled around his wrist, he jumped. Gently, Thorn motioned for him to stay close to the wall as he crept forward. Sid followed.
