River pinned Blue to the floor. “Don’t fret little mouse, you will learn to enjoy it soon enough.” He leaned in to lick the tears from her face. His hand sliding up her thigh while the other keeps a firm grip around her throat. Blue looked over at me and tried to speak, but no sound came out. He was suffocating her. She mouthed a silent “Ryder” sending me into a frenzy. I raced over and tackled him, sending him flying across the already destroyed room. My full demon form now taking control to protect what is his.
“Leave now River and I just might spare you.” My demonic voice came through clearly, River looked away from my eyes knowing full well he can never beat me. I may be younger but my demon side is much more powerful then even the kings top generals.
“Then why bring her here little brother? What is she to you?” He stood up and brushed himself off. “Is she not a new toy? Has mother not taught you to share?” He smiled at me. “Is she a new pet?”
“Shut your mouth!”
“Tell me! What you are doing with a human brother? If she is not your pet or for pleasure then why is she hiding in your room like a scared kitten?!” He started walking towards Blue who was still lying on the ground trying to catch her breath.
“I’m warning you River, enough!”
“Or what? Dear brother we both know you won’t kill me over some humans innocents.” River laughed to himself.
“Don’t be so sure of that.”
He paused before taking a few more steps, then he stood right over her. He grabbed her by the back of her hair and picked her up until her feet were barely touching the floor. “All of this fuss over a mere human brother I mean seriously.”
Blue whimpered from the pain. “Ryder.” She squeaked. I looked at her desperate face, pleading with me to stop this torture. “Ryder please.” She begged.
“Oh she speaks, me next, beg me to let you go. Beg me to spare you. I want to see that sad expression while your writhing beneath me. Oh how I can already picture it.” River laughed menacingly. “Oh by the way brother did you know that the little mouse that you have caught is a virgin.” My eyes grew wide, shock was eminent on my face. “I know I couldn’t believe it either. To think you weren’t going to share her first time with your brother tsk tsk.”
I lunged at River causing him to drop Blue to the ground and sent him flying backwards. I scrambled to her side, “Blue, kitten are you okay? River you i***t she passed out again! You don’t ever think things through.”
“Relax humans have an annoying tendency to bounce back from these things.” He stated as he rubbed his head.
“She’s not human!”
“She smells human.” River said with a confused look on his face.” He walks over to the unconscious Blue who I hugged harder to protect. “She looks pretty human too.”
“Well she’s not! I’ve seen her in her full demon form, brother she is the future queen.”
Rivers face drained of all its color, and started backing away from us. “N-no that can’t be. Olivia is the queen, you must be mistaken. Your just love sick brother.”
“Believe me if you want but I know she is our queen.”
“Then why didn’t she protect herself? If she is the queen she could have easily killed me. Instead she coward and begged for your help.” River said while sitting down in front of us with his arms crossed.
“I’m not sure but I don’t think she can control her demon side yet. I’ve only seen it once and she passed out immediately after.” I looked down at Blue, her breathing evened out telling me she was okay. I smiled down at her peaceful face.
“My god, you like her don’t you?” River grinned at me.
“Shut it, besides Vic is right, there is no way she doesn’t have a mate, and if he has even the fraction of the power she possesses then he is not the one to mess with.”
“Well I’m assuming they haven’t completed the bond because she isn’t fully marked and she is still a virgin. So what are you planning? A little love sick triangle?” I thought about it for a minute, there is no way I can take her from her mate unless he is a complete jackass, and if she chooses to leave him. “If I were you I would just make her choose you.” I gave him an ‘as if’ look. I refuse to force her to do anything. “What I mean is, her mate isn’t here with her right?”
“Yeah that’s right she was at the pub alone.”
“So there has to be a reason why she left him behind, and judging from the scar on her neck I’d say it was for good reasons. Just make her fall in love with you and no matter what happens you will be the first person she runs to.”
“Scar? What scar?” I lifted her hair away from her neck. “Whoa!” Teeth marks engraved into her neck, who ever did this wasn’t messing around. I don’t even think she can be marked after an injury like this. I looked back at River.
"Who ever did that, has serious possessiveness issues." He looked at her with pity. "look all I'm saying is treat her like gold but show her she can't live without you.” He stood up and headed for the door. "I'll let dad know you need a little more time, that should keep him off your back for awhile." He waved before walking out. I lifted blue up and walked down stairs, my room was trashed so I laid her on the couch.

Blues POV
* * *
I woke up in an unfamiliar room, I looked around the room cautiously. The white walls and golden accents didn't jar any memories. I sat up and realized I was lying on a couch, I looked out the beautiful floor to ceiling windows and noticed the sun was starting to rise. I stood up and quietly starting walking around. ‘Think, think, what happened last night.’ Memories started to flood my mind, the incident with Clay, waking up to Ryder and that creepy man. My heart started to race, that man, is he still here? I need to leave, now! I started running in any direction that looked like an exit.
“Whoa, kitten not so fast.” A familiar voice called. A massive hand collapsed around my arm, making me halt in my tracks. To scared to face the man, I started to struggle in his grip, pulling and trying to pry his hand off me. “Hey knock it off already, just calm down.”
“Let go of me!” I screamed. His free hand swiftly found its way to my throat, pulling me back into his hard chest. To stunned to speak, a whimper escaped my lips. His hand was firmly against my neck but not straining my breathing or causing any pain.
“Don’t fight me kitten,” He growled in my ear. I’m not sure why but his commanding voice sent chills down my spine, I desperately wanted to face this man but I was held firmly in place.
“Pl-please I…I need to leave.” I begged.
A low growl rumbled in the man’s chest, the vibration reverberated throughout my body. Absent minded I let out a moan, ‘Matt? Did he really come all this way, just for me?’ My heart beat picked up and excitement shot through me. I tilted my head back onto the man’s chest, trying to catch a scent. My eyes grew wide and my breath caught in my throat. That smell…it-it’s blood. “Ry-Ryder?” I whispered in shock.
“Blue, listen to me closely.” His voice deep and serious. “You’re not allowed to leave this building under any circumstances. Do you understand?”
I shook my head ‘no’. I can’t stay here under the same roof with Ryder.
He let out another low growl and pinned me against the wall. As he stepped in front of me I noticed his black eyes that looked like hollow pits to nothingness. I never thought I would miss his golden ones until this moment. His large fangs showing out of the corner of his plump lips. His chiseled jaw tightly clenched, showing just how irritated he was. “This isn’t a request Kitten, you will not leave this building.” He growled at me.
“I-I can’t stay he-here. Please…please let me go.” My voice trembling under his commanding aura. I could really use Marshall or Noah right about now. Then I realized something, I miss Matt. Tears welling in my eyes at the thought of him. It’s only been a few days but I really miss him.
“No,” My eyes shot up to Ryder's stern face. “Not sure if you’ve noticed but your all alone here. The only one here to save you is me and trust me after last nights incident you need me.”
“I’ll be fine in my own.” I fought back tears. “I’m a demon too and I can handle myself.”
“Oh yeah? Then show me, show me your demon form and all its power kitten. Oh wait you can’t, because you can’t control it, can you?” He finally let go of my throat, but then grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. His hands are so big both of my wrists fit in his one hand with extra room. “Don’t disobey me kitten, you may become obsessed with the punishment.” He smiled slightly at his thoughts, but it only made my fear level sky rocket. I dropped my head in defeat, there was no way of getting out of here. “Now that, that is settled,” He started while letting go of me and turning around. “Let’s get some food.” My head shot back up, we are leaving, that’s my chance! Ryder looked back at me and smiled. “Don’t get your hopes up, breakfast is already made and waiting in the kitchen.” He chuckled. We walked down the long hallways, as I looked around I noticed an elevator door outside of the living room, but continued to follow Ryder. I’ll need a plan if I’m going to use the obvious exit. We entered into a large dinning room, a dark oak table placed in the center of the room. Why does Ryder need 10 diner chairs? Last I checked he only had two friends maybe three if we are counting the creep. I stopped dead in my tracks, “Kitten, you okay?” I heard Ryder speaking but it was muffled. Is that guy going to come back? Is that Ryders plan? Is everything he said actually going to happen? I could feel my chest tighten at the thought, my breathing shallow. “Kitten?” Ryders concerned face inches from my own. He cupped my face in his hands. “Kitten? What’s wrong?”
My mouth felt dry and my throat hurts. My god am I having a panic attack? “No, No! I need to get out of here!” I yelled. Panic set in and I took off running for the elevator door. I knew better then to be this rash but I couldn’t help it my brain and body were on two different pages. I could hear the loud growl from behind me as I ran. The moment my finger grazed the elevator button I was pulled back, now standing face to face with Ryder in full demon form. His massive figure towered over my small frame, he looked down at me with his burning gaze.
“I warned you…” He snarled.
