A lot of fists come towards me, and I reciprocate with an explosive welcome against it. I need to hit all of it after all. If I don’t, that [False Strike] would be activated and my body would be in danger.
I gracefully shoot my Tech Gloves’ Burst Shot twice its full percent. The genie-ish individual (even though it’s a knight in the name) gets flinched for a bit and then started the same process again. The reason why it can’t use that passive beam galore is due to the fact that it couldn’t punch according to its will, since I always intercept.
“I think that you’ll be in a hard’s way if you continue to stay like that.”
“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
“Mmm. What a lovely voice.”
I guess I’m overestimating this Glitch. I found that there is absolutely nothing noteworthy about it.
“Oh? What are you going to do?”
It puts its arms diagonally upwards and spreads its knees. It’s imitating the letter X if someone would ask me.
The next thing it did is to bring down its arm in a fast motion, making an X-shaped figure packed with illuminating orbs. I figured out what’s about to happen and started closing the distance. If this were an Arts subject, I would be happy to see glowing orbs in front of me since it’s beautiful to be seen. However, I am well informed by our Arts instructor that dots comes with moving forms of it, the line. There’s no perfect form of a line other than his beams.
I can’t parry that much. Oh well, I better do my best instead of doubting myself.
It’s an unknown skill it did just now. Or it could be just its passive skill modified to a certain extent.
I did my best to hit all of the incoming beams that seems near impossible to intercept. I blasted some in clusters while the others were destroyed one by one. Thanks to my current maneuverability capabilities and skills, I made to hit them all in time. All except one. I missed the opportunity to hit one. That’s clumsy of me.
“Oh, not bad. That’s one great move.”
It did a lucky hit, thanks to its [False Strike]. I wasn't able to parry the attack. Even the current me have my limits, and I’m not at my full potential yet. My original isn’t here, since I contained her inside an isolated space. To be blunt, she’s within an isolated space in her body with me being in an isolated space within Queen Licht Maiden’s Fallen Blood Crystal. Pretty crazy, if you’d ask me.
It repeated the same move, but this time I would never miss this opportunity. My Rage Points is adequate to summon my other weapon, a weapon that saved me once.
“[Death Scythe].”
A simple scythe with the height as long as my height appeared and I grabbed it with my left hand.
The scythe that appeared is the basic form of it. I did say that it’s simple since I only spawned it out from the minimum Rage Points required for me to use it. I think it’s better than nothing.
The orbs started coming towards me, and what I did is a graceful dance of hacking the beams and shooting some with my free hand. Lots of beams approach from the left, the right…no, all sides. Unlike before, I repelled every beam.
It did it again for the third time.
Goodness me, isn’t that spamming? But then again, I can’t say it aloud since one, I can’t just rant all my thoughts to a Glitch, and two, I also spam my Burst Shot. It’s in varying intensity, but still.
“Stop spamming already. I need to get out of here quickly or I can’t help Licht. The sooner I help her, the better.”
A tentacle appeared out of nowhere (what the heck? This isn’t some “not safe for work” stuff) and ought to hit me in a sweep motion but I countered it by cutting the tentacle with my scythe in a swift motion.
“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”
“Eh? That is yours? You’re starting to get creepy.”
Is this Glitch about to evolve to its third form? Let’s see…
KNIGHT OF THE FALLEN BLOOD Level 647 (Form 2.5)

Strength: 9 999
Dexterity: 5 300
Constitution: 99 999

SKILLS:
[Conceal / ACTIVE]
- This conceals the user’s stats and skills, basing on the user’s own will.
[Beam Force Barrage / ACTIVE]
- This is the evolved skill of Beam Force. The user releases orbs and hits the opponent after a delay. The target style is areal.
[Life Siphon / PASSIVE]
- It is a skill that allows the user to drain the foe’s HP upon hit by a basic attack or a skill.
[False Strike / PASSIVE]
- It is a skill that damages the opponent if a basic attack or a skill doesn’t hit.
[Locust Swarm / ACTIVE]
- A skill that summons a swarm of locusts to attack. It could also be used as a distraction.
[Tentacle / ACTIVE]
- A skill that spawns a tentacle to deal damage to the enemy.
[Doom Rage / ACTIVE]
- A skill that toughens the user but draining the HP gradually.
[Self Destruct / ACTIVE]
- A double-edged, last resort attack that obliterates everything and everyone within a specific area.
[Shared Fatality / PASSIVE]
- When a fatal hit has been received, this skill grants a 70% chance to give the 30% of the user’s sustained damage back to the opponent.
[Fallen Forge / PASSIVE]
- Each damage dealt with the bearer of the skill would be granted with extra defense.
Status Condition:
[Evolution / IN PROGRESS]
- Evolution is in progress.
Woah there.
What’s with that 2.5? This isn’t a game patch! Whoever created this Glitch must be some dumb corny person!
I could also see why this Glitch now has a better algorithm than before. Its stats are better now, there are some upgrades on some of its skills and there’s that [Tentacle] skill. Hurrah. I’m going to give you a round of applause for devolving.
And that condition is a bit unusual. It says that evolution is in progress.
That doesn’t make any sense. Just that label “Form 2.5” is suspicious enough. Does this mean this Glitch would continue to evolve? Of course, it will. It’s not in its third form yet, after all.
Oops, I better not think about it too much because here he comes!
He pointed his index finger at me and all of a sudden lots of tentacles and locusts were spawned like crazy, in rapid succession. I cut the tentacles by maneuvering with my scythe, and Tech Boot’s speed assist. I carry on and blasted the locusts off the map with my Tech Gloves.
I can’t get close to him if I keep on acting like this.
Huh? Somehow my eyes are getting better.
I could now detect what skill the opponent would use, something that is convenient for me to use. The stats of the Glitch is more elaborated than before.
Thanks for the blessings. Now, I’ll make use of it.
I continued hacking and slashing as well as blasting while making my way through the swarm of locusts and lots of tentacles. I’m doing some acrobatic moves to match my motion with the scythe’s, producing a better effect and not dragging me down.
And then a surprising thing occurred.
A locust was able to latch onto my shirt and exploded. Now that was surprising. Did it mix the other two now? A summoning skill and that explosive skill?
I need to eradicate them and fast.
“There’s no need for me to play safe. Time to get serious, then.”
I stacked my scythe with the souls of the ones who are unfortunate enough to die in vain. It might be locusts, but they’re still living beings.
I don’t know if it’s enough but okay.
I think that I’ve been setting my difficulty level too much for it to handle. I think I should tone it down? All I’ve been doing are using my Tech Gloves and Tech Boots for mobility, and just imbuing my attacks with my Mantle’s prowess.
Hack here, blast there.
This routine is starting to get tedious and tiring. I’m not here to bargain. Oh well.
I rotated and hit my scythe to one of its legs. It manages to fend me off by shaking its leg but at least I chipped away some of its health, which is great.
I wonder what’s happening outside?
